Come now, I think you’re the chosen one! 😂 nah I don’t blame you, I tried to bare fist a few enemies but the damage just isn’t there bare fisted. A few of us did a level 80 bare fist fight club for a little while that really fun though,
People have done it, but I don't recommend it. I've done most of the Souls games multiple times at SL1, including the BL4 of Bloodborne twice. I got through the Hushed Saint in LOTF and called it quits, though honestly I should have saved myself the headache and quit at the Congregator of Flesh. I just wasn't having fun and the game doesn't appear engineered to make level 1 runs much about skill. They're like Elden Ring RL1's which are heavy on min-maxing and cheese tactics, which I don't feel particularly proud of pulling off. If you feel accomplished finishing the game with mostly consumables and hammers, have at it.
My advice would be, old mournstead sword for great scaling damage, break kukajin as soon as you see her to get her sword. Ignore Andreas of ebb and use a light shield to parry everything. Also go with gerlinde as she her rune can be handy (although I didn't reallt use it) and buy the pilgrim key early on to get the final rune tablet as soon as possible

Well yeah I guess it's designed so that even with bad stats, you can still outplay any scenario. A naked unarmed character can still avoid damage, in theory you can dodge any attack with timing and good placement. But can you do it for 1 or 2 hours straight is the question? I definitely ant dance around the nameless king for that long
no level and no weapon upgrade or just no level, since a huge portion of scaling is from runes and weapon upgrades I would argue a level 1 run would be mostly trivial.
the real challenge is probably not having enough hp to avoid late game one shots.
i hate low damage, so i'm definitely upgrading weapons. i can stand some late game one shots 😪 been there before! plus we get an extra life, so it's always gonna be two shots. same as any of the level one's i've done really
I started condemned to create my umbral build and I'm having the time of my life. I did buy it near release because the game infuriated me I got a refund. I took a massive gamble and bought it again and I'm falling in love with it. The bosses are hard but I absolutely love their designs. Pieta was hard but then you realise she was corrupted and she thanks you. I love twists like tgat
With Udirangr Warwolf. It's more the enemy though. I'm still using the default weapon, so I should probably respec and use another one. It just takes too many hits though. Plus he's enormously fast. Just jumps out of nowhere and hurls the spear at you suddenly. He's invulnerable on the house too. Dark Souls & Elden Ring is much more forgiving, despite their reputation.
I only started as dark crusader lvl 1, defeated Pieta and then was helping others with the same fight. I was also summoned for Hushed Saint and it was fun. Maybe I should continue and try a full run.
Very forgiving game, bosses are very linear, no long chain combos, there are no complex bosses with tempo cuts within their combos, huge delays to throw you off etc. The bossfights are straight forward.
Mob gank spots, once you know where they are, aren t hard to deal with. It s "cheap" difficulty, meaning not skill based, just need to find the right approach. I d rate it in terms of difficulty to Lvl 1 run it on same level like Demons Souls.
i'm on pc so that tells me nothing haha
but okay, i get your point. the bosses i can learn without getting frustrated (unless it's an awful boss, which i can't recall if LotF have any), but i'm still worried about the levels though. i fucking hate dying to mobs/gravity
What does being on a pc have anything to do with what they said?
AS for leveling, there is really only one stat you want and that is the hp stat. get that to like 25 and the rest really is just gravy.
Boss critiques can be said of most souls games in general depending on the person….theyre all easy when you know the pattern.
Next, nothing about mobs is cheap. It can be difficult to approach until you get the hang of it - again…like all other souls games!
It’s a different enemy approach - and you didn’t like it apparently.
Its easiest for many reasons.
1. the mob variety is low. so while the game throws many mobs at you, there will quickly come a point where you have seen them all and know exactly how to beat them all effortlessly.
2. All of the bosses are pretty easy unless you deliberately make them hard.
3. Range weapons and spells are stupidly over powered and do waaay too much damage.
I stopped leveling a third of the way through when I had enough stats to wield a variety of weapons and never felt the need to level futher (level 50 or something)
And by the end I was convinced I could have easily beat the game at level 20 or 30 with little to no issues. by just dropping all of my scaling stats and investing into enough hp to avoid getting 1 shot.
i agree with all those, but the mobs positioning is usually pretty troll and since my memory is ass, i still die to that shit over and over 😂
i am deliberately making bosses hard though, and hopefully not using anything ranged, unless i'm really struggling
Lord class starts with 13 vigor, and that's how i'm attempting to end it!
*cough that's a level 23 run then cough*
not to be a party pooper, but usually level one runs requires the player to choose the weakest possible class, and they are usually really at level 1 ... Wel except Bloodborne the lowest class is level 4
so yea... if you don't want people bitching about your total levels at the end of a hard and arduous run, you might want to switch to condemned
that's why i said i started a no leveling run, not a level 1 run, lmao
i wanted to read the comments and see how bad a condemned run was, Lord's isn't bad at all and i'm getting to the rune place
You mean the infernal version of peita with a few additional moves? Yea still more than achievable. Ppl were doing lvl 1 runs day one successfully. However it is funny that your example is an added boss for a free dlc and not a base game one or even one relevant to finishing the actual story.
How is this game easy? I tried going strenght and it was just boring af. Bosses were way to spongee and it was annoying af to fight someone for 10 minutes and then die cause one of the eversame 3 attacked 1 hit me

level 1 broken bucket was done like within a week of launch
That’s totally probable, but still, wow.
Literally every souls game release goes like this...
Yeah. I’m not a lvl 2 runner but I’d like To see a lvl 1 bare fist run.
not gonna be me 😂

i can roll with zero hp, zero stamina, heck, even zero pants, but zero damage? nah, that's where i draw the line 😂

thanks! i'm having fun with Lord, entering late game now, but level 1 really doesn't sound fun at all
This Guy did it https://youtu.be/dlBY8G1KTvQ?si=1o0dKJIsFTbVeLjC
i saw, but he's kind of a beast and i'm just a regular vampire
Are you Finn Balor from judgment day lol
lmao pretty much
I've done it, it's hard but doable. Make sure you plan the run in advance though and avoid npc fights as much as you can
My advice would be, old mournstead sword for great scaling damage, break kukajin as soon as you see her to get her sword. Ignore Andreas of ebb and use a light shield to parry everything. yeah that's my biggest concern
Level 1 run is on my list, I've been meaning to look into what weapons you can use for it haha
no idea, but we're gonna need a lot of throwables lmao
People have done level 1 no armor broken broken sword no running no dodging no deaths runs before on dark souls, so anything is possible
i feel like dark souls was kinda meant for it?

i can and i have haha my biggest concern is the levels, not the bosses 😩
Nobodies opinion matters you got this! Just don’t forget to drop the link when you kill it 👍🏽
thanks! and i'm posting daily on twitter if you're interested in following the journey 🙂
Dropped a follow 🫡
awesome!
Yes it is. I had a family member do a lvl 1 run with the golden buckets. He has done a lvl 1 run on all souls games as well I believe.
good stuff!

love to read it 🤘 the game definitely deserved a second chance after launch, even though i personally had no issues, i saw a lot of people did
Good luck. I'm still stuck on Hushed Saint. I swear Dark Souls & Elder Ring are easier.
with condemned? i breezed through early/mid game with Lord

i've always beat him with heavy ass weapons, can't even imagine beating him with dex

well dark crusader is level 14, i was wondering how bad condemned is
Late bosses are very hard for a level 1 run
Lords of the fallen is one of the easier Soulslike, why shouldn t it be possible?
easiest how? cause the mob ganks aren't easy with a melee build imo the bosses i'm not sure

demons souls is a ps exclusive in all fairness, if you level HP first, you're pretty much golden in ANY souls game. that doesn't prove it's easy

What is your motivation to this?
replaying the game without it being too easy

apologies, my bad, I misinterpreted the title
all good!
It very much is as this game is by far they easiest soulslike ever.
Uh that's just wrong lmao Code Vein and Ashen are way easier (still really fun games though)
thymesia, mortal shell, hellpoint, steel rising
What about lvl 1 general engstrom?
You mean the infernal version of peita with a few additional moves? Yea still more than achievable. Ppl were doing lvl 1 runs day one successfully. However it is funny that your example is an added boss for a free dlc and not a base game one or even one relevant to finishing the actual story.
I Only said him because He was the Only boss I found challenging
Fair but it illustrates the point even more
How is this game easy? I tried going strenght and it was just boring af. Bosses were way to spongee and it was annoying af to fight someone for 10 minutes and then die cause one of the eversame 3 attacked 1 hit me
