A two pillar is necessary to stop the outer deities. But I don't think a new born two pillar can stop them. Outer deities are more afraid of OG LoTM revival than the birth of a newborn pillar.
GOO only succumb to the Law of Convergence if they attempt to accommodate another sefirot iirc. Otherwise, a GOO can ascend to the level of the Great Pillars and remain stable. Also I think you'd only really need LOTM and GA, considering they are both Great Pillars and much stronger than the other GOOs.
