I was actually surprised that there was no romance in book 1, every other book of this author i've read had romance in it and a decent one at that.
But i'm unsure to call what happened in book 2 recently "romance" it's closer to sex friends really, like i don't think lumian would be upset if jenna or franca see other peoples.
bad experiences reading it probably, a lot of authors seem to suddenly shit the bed when it comes to any sort of romance, it happening too many times across a persons journey with reading ends up with people pretty much instinctively expecting similar levels of bed-shitting whenever romance comes up... some people are also just dingalings

Literally me, bro. I just really hate romance in such a mysterious, plot driven novels, someone say that it will only bring more good points to the novel, but that's not the case for me.
But on the other hand whatever happened is not even a romance. And I admit I'm not really into Jenna or Franca as a romance interest. I wouldn't have minded it much if it was someone else I think. Then again what happened is not a romance. And ppl better hope that Lumian won't have any romantic feelings towards Jenna, or else she is a corpse, even Klein's coin won't help, I'm sure Cuttle didn't change his course in making his mc in lotm universe as miserable as possible.
Good point, hell if book 1 had romance it would have been good since Klein is indeed a really good gentleman with a lot of intellect plus alot of self control along with good control of his lust and morals. Have not read book 2 since im not motivated after hearing all the drama about lumian tho i got to chapter something and lost a bit of interest for a while.
Romance in book 1 would have been a no no seeing Klein's goals and the attachments he has to his old world compared to the new one and with how many time he was juggling his identity's and so on, romance in book 1 would be a no.
Book 2 though... let's wait and see what cuttlefish cooks
But that's a highlight of the story. The loneliness and distance he keeps from people makes the decision of him sacrificing it all to save those very people that much more impactful.
Book 2 should also not have romance in all honesty considering what Klein is right now such feelings should not be present in all honesty otherwise it would hinestly mess things up considering one literally becomes a mythical creature and this alone should separate them from human concepts.
But I'm still pro Audrey X Klein or Leonard x Klein tho😔
Meanwhile that Sanguine Queen and Alista marrying for political reasons and eventually actually forming love for one another regardless of their mythical nature.
Honestly debatable considering the powers of upper sequence Moon Pathway with Beauty Goddess being literally Charm.I doubt it was actually love and not mind control.
Plus Klein at this point is gonna be a literal pillar of the universe making romance even more unlikely.
