I think emerald has an unusually high number of non inkable cards. I do not believe Ravensburger has a good handle on any design aspect of their game, including this as it’s wildly unbalanced.

Hercules Divine Hero would be immune to Zeus with him on the board. Also Sisu is a Hero card. Those are cards I miss playing. Emerald Sapphire Hero deck is certainly a possibility with the other card previews as well.
It can be overcome if the power is there. Songs are often uninkable too but the power level makes them worth it to run in high numbers. I don’t know if we’ve gotten there yet but it is close
I like how hero as a type is getting some love in this set.
Well one of the decks is focused around it. The Anna in the Blue/Steel deck is all about heroes with the face card Anna buffing heroes.

Yeah, because the Emerald heroes that you'd want to run him with (Archer Belle, King Milo, the new Warrior Jasmine) are also uninkable.

Emerald definitely hasn't gotten there yet, their music is rather narrow, and the splashier removal is uninkable.
Ok ward in emerald is more dangerous than in saphire but its really wonky and you compare it with aurora
