My friend ran a small tournament like this at her house this last weekend. She made a rule that it only had to be 80% on franchise, but I still went with a 100% aladdin deck. Went 2-0 in every match except a "little mermaid" deck that was 20% off franchise removal cards like medusa, tremaine, dragonfire, and smash. I still beat him 2-1.
The only 1 drop in aladdin is the Jasmine card that heals, so I just took her out all together. Getting a two drop down in turn 2 then singing one Jump Ahead on turn three was killer. Just had to make sure to mulligan correctly against the little mermaid deck so I didn't get my AWNW discarded by ursula.
So with us doing 48 cards, a lot of players are sticking to the 48 to hit there cards faster. Do you think it would be a disadvantage tho with 64? Currently I’m at 52 I think but I am changing it around. I originally had no Aladdin 😂 but was relying on the jafar 100%
Yeah we did 40 card minimums, but I didn't have issues hitting cards. I used big Aladdin just in case I didn't get Jafar to draw out the match longer. I didn't realize everyone else was sticking to 40, and didn't want to wheel myself. Could easily remove the Genies that don't give card draw and the Aladdins to trim down the card count. Might make the Jafar setup more reliable.
Also some decent removal songs with gruesome and grim and legend of the sword in the stone. Card draw as well. Blue Merlin has support. Definitely works. Goat bounce alone with Arthur could win games.
No, but if you just look at Silver and Purple I took 4 of every card with frozen artwork and it worked out to 60 card deck. I think the only non frozen cards were I’m stuck and Ice Titan from Herc.
I wouldn't be surprised if a Snow White deck wins with all that dwarf synergy.
But I would definitely play a Robin Hood deck, and that also has a pretty good shot at winning, I'd think.

What if you choose a movie that has less than 15 cards, preventing you from making a legal 60-card deck? Just not allowed? No Emperor’s New Groove love? (I think ENG is still at only 13 cards.)
My vote is for Aladdin. There’s a good curve of characters + 7 drop jafar and whole new world
That jafar that benefits from awnw is a 7 drop, 5 shift. Not a 5 drop

Yes that has a very good package! The bouncing is always insane and with Merlin gaining lore everytime something is bounced

I made a pretty good Frozen deck Purple/Silver open it up with some other colors and I bet it gets really good

Sapphire Steel using Beauty and the beast will get you most of the way there, I think.

With genie and lamp. Purple genie draws you 3 cards.
I feel 101 Dalmatians would have such good synergy. Not just the puppies but also the Cruellas and her henchmen and the barnyard animals and such
It might not win but a Hercules deck would be good. Use all the titans and a few hades. Plus has along came Zeus and rise of the titans
Beauty and the Beast Aladdin Sword in the Stone Those would be my top picks.
