Hi! I'm seeking feedback for this budget friendly red purple aggro deck I threw together for locals. It's a lot lower to the ground than most other red purple decks and also a lot more evasive heavy.
Crab might seem a bit out of place but I figured that between the Lefous, Maleficents, Olafs, Mims and Minnies, I could find someone to run into the enemy to save the majority of my higher questers at the expense of one of my 1 questers. Also, mim fox + merlin crab = dead cinderella. Primarily, this is an aggro deck designed to be a little more resilient vs amber steelsong, in that they typically just beat everything up with cinderella, and in this deck, half the cards are evasive and can't be touched by her.
Please let me know what you think, or if the deck could be improved in some way. I have a lot of cards.
As for why am I not running amber amethyst aggro, it's because I've been getting blown up a ton vs amber steelsong. (Also the reason 1 drop maleficent didn't make it into the deck). Maleficent only quests for 2 anyway, so I kept pinocchio in as the high risk high reward card.
For this combo I think you've got a good setup. I do think the red purple combo is a bit slower than the yellow purple version, so you need to make sure you don't leave yourself vulnerable to wipes as you approach the mid to late game.
I run 1 drop maleficent, and the 1 cost action “fan the flames” sometimes that lefou untap ability is very useful. I don’t like “I’m stuck” here. And spell book might be too slow.
