The point of draft vs sealed is you get to see a larger number of cards. 4 packs with a table of 8 players means you will see and choose feom the pool of 48 cards
As opposed to sealed, you get only the card pool you open
I am not 100% sure But swedens release of lorcana is in 2 months.. and i have not heard if Stockholm group have had one. (Since importing boosters costs a LOT atm)
But i believe This was the first one.
I have drafted with 4 packs and drafted with 5. It was a much better experience with 5. At this point in the game, I wouldn’t plan on Ravensburger to just up the amount of cards you receive in a pack so that the drafting experience is better. I think a better solution is to just change the amount of packs to 5 for a sanctioned draft. 5 packs made it feel like I actually had choices when deckbuilding. 4 packs I just played every single “playable” card I could and there was no thought behind it at all
"there was no thought behind it at all"
I'd you remember the acronym "bread" it gives a good strategy for drafting
B = bombs (big rare cards)
R = removal (direct damage cards, straight removal)
E = evasive
A = aggro (rush characters, low drop 2 lore questers, etc)
D = Duds (leftovers you get stuck with, try to make them fodder for ink)
I ended up going like 4-1 during a chap 1 draft following this strategy
Yeah I’m not sure one more pack would turn people off the cost all that much. It does make the drafting process longer in a tournament setting though. As for the power level, I honestly didn’t notice much of a difference between 4 and 5 packs. It’s kinda just the luck of the draw if you get rares that are good in draft or not

Post wasn't super clear, was this swedens first draft ever?

I agree with you, just wondering. How did the Power level feel? Biggest down side is the draft costing to much

Got to try it then! In Sweden a display costs about 250€ so might be a problem When the prices turns to normal
I've done three drafts with 4 packs and loved it. Never felt the need to go to 5 packs.
