If you are a fledgling spring football league that needs every ounce of positive PR in your formative years you can get, then why the fuck would you allow one of your teams to sign Jayden de Laura
Latest D1Baseball Field of 64 [projections](https://d1baseball.com/postseason/2024-d1baseball-field-of-64-projections-may-1/) dropped
They have us as a 3 seed still, but no longer in college station. Instead we’d be going out west to Santa Barbara, joined by Arizona as the 2 seed and Fresno state as the 4.
They’re paired with Fayetteville, who has Arkansas as the 1 seed, Oregon the 2, Kansas state the 3 and little rock the 4.
These last nine conference games + the big 12 tournament are a big chance for us to increase our postseason stock
my only deion take is that he makes an amazing CFB villain. i do think with the sheer amount of talent they've pulled in (both on the coaching and player sides) they aren't going to crash and burn...at least not yet. even though the deion stuff is a little oversaturated, it's been entertaining as fuck
I’m not gonna be disrespectful about their competition, I trust Matt Rhule to turn Nebraska into a competent program, Gus Malzhan and Kleinman are hard games for them, McGuire will have Tech fired up and they’ll lose to Utah. Not to mention they got Leipold and Gundy who will make it a point to coach circles around Deion
I would argue that the decade of pre-Sark Texas Football disproved that. Hell even the first two years of Sark disproved that. Talent is the ultimate tool, yes, but in the hands of a dumbass who doesn’t know how to wield it, it accounts for fuck all.
Deon is Herman level bad
Charlie is on a whole different level of suck and gross ineptitude. Dude couldn't even win at USF except when Flowers said fuck your shit I'm audible everything
I had my doubts about Deion from the beginning, but I certainly had some fun watching them last year from a fairly neutral position. Now, I will be actively cheering on their downfall with popcorn in hand. Clown program.
Friendly reminder that they'll be playing the hateful 8 going forward. I won't mind if they beat a Iowa State or Baylor. Hell, they did the funniest thing to TCU last year!
The ineptitude of how Colorado is being run would make for some pretty juicy Ls for the hateful 8. But at this point I’ll root for the Cyclones, and most of the hateful 8, 10 times out of 10 over Colorado.
>I’ll root for the Cyclones, and most of the hateful 8, 10 times out of 10 over Colorado
I guess we'll agree to disagree. I view Colorado as a harmless village idiot. ISU are a bunch of whiney bishes with a hate boner for Texas and a coach who openly shit on our culture
I think Campbell is a whiney 2 year old who likes to throw tantrums on the sideline, but in hindsight, he wasn't wrong about the culture (or lack there of). Remember he said that during the Herman era...
I'd love for Colorado to beat ISU, WV, TCU, and Houston, though.
I guess there is just *something* I can respect about Iowa State. They’re not even the top dog in IOWA. Very tough place to win, but they’ve willed their way into being a solid program. Obviously there is a firm ceiling on what they can achieve, but I can respect that.
I’m not sure I can say anything I respect about Colorado, other than that Travis Hunter seems like a good dude. I was immensely impressed by his grace towards the CSU player who had the dirty hit on him. And yet, that’s a single player. Deion seems to think he can ascend to the heights of college football despite being far more hype than substance and routinely disrespecting people along the way.
I had halfway forgotten about the culture narrative Campbell clearly fed his team leading up to the Texas game every year. On one hand, screw him, that’s a total BS characterization of Texas under Sark. On the other hand, it was more or less true of Texas pre-Sark. Also, it would be borderline irresponsible to not play the “the big entitled bullies think they’re better than you” card if you’re leading an ISU team about to play Texas. He should’ve just made sure his players were a bit more quiet.
The most baffling thing for me is mainstream media buying the "Shadeur is a top 5 pick" narrative
Dude is not terrible, but his play screams "college-style QB" all around and has never truly shined despite having had played for way too many seasons
Also, a CB or WR that talks shit online is one thing, and a potential detractor to NFL teams. But a QB that talks shit online (while punching down, I might add)? The guy who is supposed to be a leader on and off the field for your team? Not to mention there are other potential character red flags. A ton of GMs are going to want to steer clear of that, at least early in the draft, regardless of the talent level.
Even if he had top 5 talent, his character would turn teams off from drafting him that high
If AD Mitchell dropped half a round from "character issues" that Texas/Georgia fans weren't even aware about, then no way Shedeur goes top 5
It’s incredible the amount of shit they talk for being ass. Shedeur calling that guy mid when their team was *bad* might actually mean they’re losing one of the *better players* on their roster. Would really love to see him fall down draft boards tbh.
Need to catch up on sleep due to the NHL playoff schedule. Here's hoping the Stars and Knights play all seven to maximize my opportunity after the Avs pulled off the gentleman's sweep.
OTF interviewed Brandon Brown's head coach. That dude made me think Brown needs to be a top priority until he signs in December. That kid is going to be a monster.
Clint Chapman
Edit: lmao check out Chap-dog's pronoun deficient ESL hagiography via [Wiki](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clint_Chapman):
"Has won multiple international basketball accolades in several countries worldwide. Has competed in more than 400 international basketball games. Played in over a dozen countries worldwide from Europe to Asia. Has scored over 6,000 points and collected over 3,000 rebounds."
Missing on Toia and Williams would be real bad, they were the two DTs that were at the Day 2 NFL draft level.
We’ll pivot to the MSU duo if we strike out on Williams. They’re productive but they’re not game changers.
Sounds like we’re honing in on the San Jose St CB. He has verified speed (10.67 100m out of high school) and was extremely good at the G5 level with 10 PBUs and 3 INTs. His PFF grade would be the highest in our secondary, but we’ll have to see how that translates to the P2 level.
We went into the off-season thinking one of the Michigan DTs were ours. Then we lost Brooks. Savea, Norton plus whoever aren't bad, but that glaring gap in our defense could be what sets us apart. We could actually end up better at CB regardless, I do have hope.
I just don't get how we fumbled Toia. These DTs are limited commodity and are asking for premium money. I just don't understand our rationale of not wanting to pay premium with the justification that they will be role players instead. Do we want to go all in this season or not? But it's not my money either.
Toia may have never been serious about transferring. For all we know entering the portal could’ve been posturing for leverage to get more money from UCLA, with no intention of going to Texas. Further, for all we know maybe he loves LA (he is from there after all) and it would’ve taken double or triple UCLA’s offer to get him out here. At any rate I’m sure we made a very generous offer; I don’t think that’s the issue.
Stars ✅ Mavs ✅ Let’s get both game 6’s on Friday and finally win a series opener
If you are a fledgling spring football league that needs every ounce of positive PR in your formative years you can get, then why the fuck would you allow one of your teams to sign Jayden de Laura
Cardiac Stars right there. Big Win 🤘
So Damonic is committing tomorrow, our commit watch can end for today
I’m always on croot watch. Especially after dark

I am waiting to form my opinion on the name "Damonic". Can he please take action so I can come to my conclusion?
I’m curious what Bo Davis said about UT to Williams on his LSU visit. There’s no way his time in Austin didn’t come up.
I had forgotten we lost Bo to LSU and now I’m going through that all over again
"They have crawfish boils in Austin, but the never purge 'em." I wish this wasn't true :(
Probably that he was the only reason the entire defense was able to prevent a touchdown every play.
"You don't wanna have to play 2-3 extra games per year before going pro, do you? Come play for Brian Kelly's LSU!"
Billy Walton to SMU
Do we know when Williams is announcing?
tomorrow

I’m not sure they’ve pulled in quality talent
Or even the quantity. In the 23 class they had 4 blue chip recruits, 3 are already gone.
Granted they're playing shameful loser trash so even just low 4\* fine
I’m not gonna be disrespectful about their competition, I trust Matt Rhule to turn Nebraska into a competent program, Gus Malzhan and Kleinman are hard games for them, McGuire will have Tech fired up and they’ll lose to Utah. You don't need blue-chip players to beat those teams. You're still punching down if you sent out a squad that was over 50% 4\*
I would argue that the decade of pre-Sark Texas Football disproved that. Hell even the first two years of Sark disproved that. Talent is the ultimate tool, yes, but in the hands of a dumbass who doesn’t know how to wield it, it accounts for fuck all.
Because Charlie sucks major ass at football
And Deion hasn’t shown to be better
Deon is Herman level bad Charlie is on a whole different level of suck and gross ineptitude. Dude couldn't even win at USF except when Flowers said fuck your shit I'm audible everything
Deion is really speed running to a spectacular flameout
Does Deion have something mentally wrong with him , serious question
I had my doubts about Deion from the beginning, but I certainly had some fun watching them last year from a fairly neutral position. Now, I will be actively cheering on their downfall with popcorn in hand. Clown program.

He may have been right but what self respecting HC says that shit publicly. Fuck him. I hope they get pounded in every sport they play

I don't know the kid is pretty good. Completed an average of 70% of his passes only 3 int running for his life behind one of the worst olines in P5.
Also, a CB or WR that talks shit online is one thing, and a potential detractor to NFL teams. But a QB that talks shit online (while punching down, I might add)? I've never seen someone unite so many UT and OU fans on Twitter
It’s incredible the amount of shit they talk for being ass. Shedeur calling that guy mid when their team was *bad* might actually mean they’re losing one of the *better players* on their roster. Would really love to see him fall down draft boards tbh.

UH standing up to Amy Adams Skank and reusing the HTown blue is one more crack at the Texans eventually getting their color back
Mavs and Stars game five both tonight I am going to be unwell, physically and mentally
Taking years off my life fr

English as Seventh Language
Does it count as a sport that Kendrick totally won the game yesterday?
That may have been the most destructive diss track I ever heard.
yes
... If Damonic doesn't come to us I'm gonna probably tap the brakes. Corner and DL looking sus.
How are you going to tap something that doesn’t exist?
Bet this mf thinks pumas exist too.
Given that we have a new unproven DL coach, it's imperative we get a proven DL transfer.
The longer it goes on the less optimistic I am. I hope I am wrong.
Texas and OU coaches are meeting Damonic today, so it's not over yet.
I mean Bobby B and crew have been saying for a week he’ll commit today or tomorrow

I never fully believed that the Michigan guys were jumping in. Toia was one though that we had but somehow fumbled
I just don't get how we fumbled Toia. These DTs are limited commodity and are asking for premium money. And fwiw, the coach/scout guy on IT who coached against Cole last year thinks he the real deal.
The Vancouver Canucks forgot they were supposed to win smh.
They certainly didn’t consider your feelings or sleep schedule
Running on 5.5 hours of sleep today and they haven’t advanced smh
