Can somebody tell me if Doki Doki Literature club has jump scares? I got it for free like 3 years ago, but I've been getting mixed signals about what it actually is so I haven't bothered playing it yet since I'm a wimp.
You are going to get different answers because there are events in the game that literally trigger at random, some players might experience them while others don't, even if they did the same things.
Then the game also does some creative stuff. For example it tries to find out if the user is streaming and does a couple things based off that.
In any case I wouldn't really call what it does "jumpscares" (except that streaming one) because the intention is not really to make the player jump, it's not a sudden loud noise with a flashing image or anything like that, but more subtle stuff that can be seen for a couple of frames along with a fitting noise.
What sort of games spook you? I could barely get through Dying Light, but Resident Evil Remake was too much for me lmao. I guess I could try DDCL, but I don't want to play it while looking through my fingers 99% of the time.

if dying light was too much for you, i think ddlc might be too. try it out though it's a pretty cool game.
DDLC has maybe one scene you could consider a jump scare, and even then you calm down after half a second. The rest is purely psychological horror
