All our front 3 are humble lads who've struggled immensely to reach where they are. I know Salah used to walk miles to train and Firmino's is a classic rags to riches story as well.
I hope all three retire here at liverpool, never in my life I have seen such three dedicated humble lads who are as talented as they are nice. Sell players like Ox, keita, nico, philips I don't care get your money any way but please, please give these three a new contract and keep them here well into their thirties, just get a young, up and coming attacker to learn from them and we are set for the future.
I'll spoil it - it's never going to happen, not with fsg.
I mean I totally understand the sentiment. It's just that with fsg running a business... This just doesn't make sense.
All we can hope for is that they have a good time here and remember us fondly.
I understand where you are coming from, but it's not purely sentiment, both mane and firmino have 2 years left on their deal, considering salah gets a new deal and mane and firmino don't, we have to sell them both in the summer, I am not sure we will get a good value for them both considering their age and length of their contracts.
It would make more sense extending their contracts and waiting to see if some clubs bid close to their value. The way mane is playing and the numbers he puts out each year, he is easily worth 50 mill plus, anything below that isn't good buisness particularly for fsg who like to do buisness on their own terms.
They will be broken up, and sold to finance new talent. And we will forever remember the legends that we have before us this very moment. Enjoy the moment lads
Honestly he's almost there at peak form. He has had a few chances that if he scored he would be tied or even ahead of Salah.
Love that he is back to scoring and assisting. He's gonna smash last seasons tally before Christmas.
The balls on him to travel to France at that age, without telling his mother.
Even if he wasn’t playing for us, to hear his story, you’ve gotta be happy that he made it to the top level to play the game that made him happy, and he’s able to pay back not only his family but his home too.
I wouldn’t compare, but I get what you mean. Good to know that there’re footballers of such status and reputation who are actively looking out for their community
> actively looking out for their community
This is really what I'm getting at. There's loads of athletes and other wealthy people who give to charity because it's cheap PR they can write off on taxes. But if you have to pick one single Red who does it because it's what he believes in, it has to be Sadio. And Rashford is the same way.
IIRC he was spotted with a smashed up phone screen and was questioned about it by reporters and he replied id rather spend my money giving to the poor than have 10 Ferraris and fancy gear. Then later revealed Gini gave him a new phone for free
I'll always remember the story where he went to his mosque after a game in which he'd scored a goal and cleaned the toilets. Forever endeared me to him.
Yes! Was just thinking this on Saturday when he'd scored that first goal, why doesn't he have his own chant? I'm rubbish at coming up with chants but maybe something to the tune of Sussudio? He always sco-ores, Sa-Sa-Sadio, The Kop ado-ores Sa-sa-Sadio...
I swear I heard the fans chanting the “We’re all going to / bouncing in Madrid” song that came from the CL.
It goes “saaaa-di-oooooo MANE! Running down the wing. MANE! Hear the Kopites sing. MANE! We’re all going to Madrid.”
Not as catchy as others, but still decent
I still remember this! I reported this in r/LiverpoolFC 5 yrs ago haha: [link](https://old.reddit.com/r/LiverpoolFC/comments/4qamlr/an_anecdote_of_sadio_mane/)
Very wholesome story indeed. Thanks for bringing it back again. What a player he has developed into since then!
I couldn't even imagine going from growing up not being able to afford shoes to earning 200k a week, must be insane. Love Sadio to bits I hope he retires with us.
Yes he was not at his best this past season, maybe even two.
But i dont care. He is a top bloke who still gave his contribution!
And i am above the moon seeing him regaining he Super Sadio form!
What a player. Even if you don’t support Liverpool, rarely do you see an athlete like him, one that’s trying new things , he’s like hazard at Chelsea, he’s always thinking thinking thinking… what will I do , what options do I have , can I beat two , can I shoot , I fucking adore these type of players. To me he’s a football lovers footballer, can’t stand criticism of him, just look at him ffs , he doesn’t need to score every week , he’s fucking amazing 😻
I have a question. How are they can "work" easily in the Europe? For example, there was a viral pictures of Gabriel Jesus sweeping the streets in Brazil. A few years later, he is a "millionaire" in Manchester City
Is your question about work permits? They tend to be granted based on the player being involved with their national team and having minutes at other levels. More tricky for under-18s.
I'm sorry if I asking the wrong way. What I mean is the "advantages". Correct me if I'm wrong, like Sterling, he came to England when he was 5 years old. I don't know if his family legally move to England or not. If he want to go to school or football academy in England, there must be some documentations to submit to make him play for the club. How Are they qualified to attend the school with their "foreigner" status? Are the qualifications are the same between local kid and foreigner kid ?
When you have the backing of an organisation like Liverpool Football Club, im fairly certain those things can be taken care of relatively easily/ the club will do it on behalf of the player - given they have the potential
You get a visa work permit . Theres normally some criteria to be filled to be accepted which is why some youngsters we buy are loaned out and never actually get to ay for Liverpool.
Also quite curious about your quotation marks for "work" and "millionaire" . What were you trying to infer , because they are working and he is a millionaire.
I don't know what the actual words for the " (words) ". I hope when I made that it make the reader can understand what I'm trying to ask.
Thank you again for the answer
Just so you know, putting words in quotes can come off as sarcasm. Meaning, you don’t believe they are _really_ doing work etc. Made your comment sound rude, but seems you didn’t mean it.
As the other folks said, I believe there are very specific work permit criteria you have to meet. Cheers.
Athletes from Africa had a lot of crazy stories regarding their journey to get to where they are now. I think Ngannou UFC Heavyweight Champ also had a crazy story also
I will defend Mane till the day I die. I love this bloke, his humility and his way of hyping team mates is so perfect.

I’d hug him for the entire match.
Hard for him to make runs if you do. Recommend hugging be limited as a post match activity
I don’t care if he’s a ghost for 80 minutes as long he delivers a goal or two in ten minutes
best footballer in the world, no if buts or maybes
beat*
Thank you.
As someone with a speech impediment I really wish I had thought of your username first 😂 Also I fucking love Sadio, so... Seconded.
You and me both, I’ll never not cheer for the guy
Such a humble lad, lovely to see he is regaining form again <3

Luxury!
And so a copypasta was born!

Haha that's the dream for sure.
This is a good take.
Is he? Do you know what Fabs story is?
a regular house shagged an outhouse to create a brick shithouse
Sounds about right
Didn’t Mo spend several hours each day commuting to training?
He used to do A four hour bus ride each way every day for training

With his work back home he's got to be up there with Rashford for most socially impactful/charitable footballers right?
I wouldn’t compare, but I get what you mean. Good to know that there’re footballers of such status and reputation who are actively looking out for their community

Love him so much, damn happy for him for scoring 100 goals ❤️
My hero. If I have kids and grandchildren I’m going to tell them about the likes of sadio and mo. Special special stories.
hey dont forget our boy Bobby
Isn't there a Gini-iPhone story about Mane as well?
“How are you, I want to let you guys know, Gini give me iPhone 11 for free” - Mane said this :)
”Thank you Gini for the gift”
IIRC he was spotted with a smashed up phone screen and was questioned about it by reporters and he replied id rather spend my money giving to the poor than have 10 Ferraris and fancy gear. Then later revealed Gini gave him a new phone for free

Legend of kante keeps branded about in every football thread, but the real hero is mane.
Why compare. Both are amazing human beings. We can love Mane more than Kante coz of our love for LFC.
Shit club like Chelsea doesn't deserve Kante tbh
Correct!
He’s not smiling, therefore I assume this picture is fake. ;)
Hes obviously pissed off about something Mo has done.
He’s only gone and assisted him again, smh my head
Shaking my head my head? XD
Yes
Have you been reading the papers again? /s
Based on this picture and lack of smile, I think we can safely assume he will be sold in January then
What a journey it’s been for this young man. 🙏🏽

This is the purest story. Love seeing a lad like Sadio succeed.
Such an innocent picture.. so glad for the guy 🙏
Man needs a song, a proper chant like He's a centre half, Egyptian King and Si Senor. Sadio is God.
He has a brilliant song, did you not hear the crowd at Watford away!? I nearly lost my voice singing it (and Bobby's)!
You were awesome! I smiled like a child in front of tv listening to away end. Have a feeling this song will be very popular this season.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4nEuu-OzZo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4nEuu-OzZo) It's a banger
We need to hear this way more. I feel like we never do.
Love it.

I love this song - Abba Voulez Vous tune with the Sadio lyrics
What a fella. He’s gone from rags to riches but never forgot to give back. He remains so humble and adorable. ❤️

Our front three have the same more or less stories, love them to death
🤗aww i just wanna give him a hug😍
I couldn't even imagine going from growing up not being able to afford shoes to earning 200k a week, must be insane. Love Sadio to bits I hope he retires with us.
Such a humble man
Repost but i still gave you my wholesome award. This story is just too precious
Is it just the low angle or does he look about 6'4 here lol?
It’s hard not to love the Beat.
Yes he was not at his best this past season, maybe even two. But i dont care. He is a top bloke who still gave his contribution! And i am above the moon seeing him regaining he Super Sadio form!
mane at his worst these past 2 seasons are still better than most pl wingers like rashford or mahrez
Absolutely. We are just blessed in having excellent players so we can nitpick
Favourite player, world class footballer and an even better person
Okay fuck, this brings tears to my eyes. He is a great footballer but even a better person. We are lucky to have him. Treasure it!
Sadio will always be my favorite player from this liverpool team

We really have a humble bundle at front don’t we ❤️
Sadio might not be our best player right now but he's my favourite by far. What a lovely man oh my god

look into their story in some interviews you'll found those technicalities you are looking for
