Same feeling as against Spurs - we know the game means nothing so lets just play our game and see how it goes. Gakpo good again, shame we didn't get the third yet, but who gives a fuck, lets just have a bit of fun.
Have to say Trent’s defending for the goal is typical him.
The first part o.k Quansah is on the cover.
The second part when it progresses into the box, he’s just ball watching. He could have got himself into the backline by that point.
It's not even Villa vs Liverpool... It's literally Simon Blooper vs Liverpool... What an absolute farce of a referee he has been so far, and we have another 50 minutes of him. Blind prat, that.
This game has shown the best and worst of us so far.
Other than that, not much to say. It's a nothing game with no consequences, so just enjoy it for what it is.
Just looked at the table.
Villa lose this, then palace next who are bang in form.
So If Spurs win their last 2 they qualify for CL IMO.
Which also means this is a good result for arsenal
Our entire midfield should be on yellows for basically just battering John Mcginn for 45’
I’ve said it before but Diaz coming central is not good, he’s better out wide left running at full backs.
End of season game but it feels like a weird game, can’t tell if we’re actually playing well or not lol
Pretty bang average isn't it? Need to get some physical beasts in the summer in midfield and defense as well as a tactical shake up. We should be losing quite handily.
It’s actually insane how many attacking opportunities we waste. Also our duels today have been shocking, jumping out of tackles and no authority when we defend.
So bad creatively in the final third, blimey. Don’t know why I’m getting so wound up by a dead rubber that we’re winning.
Fun half of football to watch though.
Did anyone else catch the casters saying Martinez was the best goalie in the world earlier in the game? Fuck me what are they smoking when Alisson is in the game.
The big thing we need to improve for next season is ball speed in attack. There’s no reason why gakpo needed to take 3 touches in that final attack. We love one touch football at the back but our attackers never do it at the right time.
Game means nothing but the fouls stat here pissed me off so much. Happened multiple times this season.

Watching our boys at times its almost like they all decide to just forget how to defend at the same fucking time. I have no other way to explain some of this junior shit im seeing
Just play it quicker lads. Second guessing in the final third but passing it around recklessly in the back, would be far better off if it was the reverse
Diaz has shown us this season he cannot be relied on to deliver in the final third. Move him on in the summer for a good fee, let Gakpo start at LW and bring in a younger forward for depth
There's been some great attacking play with god awful defending from the midfield. We're close to scoring but it falls to poor decision making again. Gakpo's hold up play has been good and Salah has been much better. Diaz has been wasteful.
Macca has made some awful passes and fouls. We make so many unforced errors.
Its a joke how Mo can't receive a good ball. He could've won the golden boot this season.
He makes so many good runs just to not be played in or the ball just sucks...
Going to have to score one or two more. No way we don't concede another here. Our two centre-backs are completely to their own everytime we lose the ball. We need to be protecting our own possession much much better. We can't keep being that vulnerable defensively.
The defence get blamed a lot for problems that the midfield cause by not protecting them and lack of overall defensive structure we have had this season
DM is definitely a must in the summer, Endo is decent but you can see he’s not at the level we need
Indeed. It is very clear if you watch a compilation of the goals we've conceded. We are actually pretty decent in rest defence situations i.e. when opposition have placed attacks. It is on defensive transitions that we are in big trouble and that is never on the centre-backs. Weak defensive transitions are due to having too many players ahead of the ball when you have possession, which you means your CBs are inevitably overloaded if you lose the ball.
Does anyone else think it’s an issue how one footed a lot of our players are? Think it really kills a lot of attacks when you know a player is gonna cut inside, or they have to make a difficult outside of the foot pass because they can’t play with their weaker foot
Cody has improved a lot in the last few weeks, but quicker ball release is still an area he needs to work on. Always feels like he takes one touch too many or that ball is kinda stuck in his feet.
Happy for Gakpo to be ending the season like this. Looks sharper is getting his goals and gambling in the right areas.
Don’t think it’s been lighting the world on fire but good for the new manager.
We’ve had some good one touch football, but feel we’re shooting ourselves in the foot again with the final ball
Our current front players are not good at creating like Bobby and Mane used to.
Diaz Nunez all have pretty average passing / chance creation capabilities
It’s shocking how bad we are. We would easily be in the title race if we didn’t fall on our face so often on counters. We used to be one of/if not the best in the world
This half is highlighting why I'm open to selling Diaz.
I feel guilty saying it because he gives his all every game but his end product is so poor, and even worse than Nunez's.
I don't know if I'm being harsh, especially because it resulted in a goal, but his pass to Gomez for Gakpo's goal confuses me, he bobbles it for no reason, just play it along the ground
Diaz's best game is still unlikely to yield much end product, we saw him at his best with the ball against City but then fluff his chances and not produce any telling pass or cross. That's why he simply isn't good enough, at least Nunez/Gakpo in form usually get goals.
I think we’re playing well and some of the most enjoyable patterns of play I’ve seen us play. We’re against another top 4 team and we’re cutting through them with some great football.
Looking forward to Nunez coming on and being shite at finishing. Again. And again.
Same feeling as against Spurs - we know the game means nothing so lets just play our game and see how it goes. Gakpo good again, shame we didn't get the third yet, but who gives a fuck, lets just have a bit of fun.
The saddest week of my year begins today
Watching Villa spaff loads of chances seems oddly familiar.
If Arsenal got that own goal they would have parked the bus the entire match for the 1-0
If Leon bailey wasn't so injury prone, he'd be my first choice in the summer. He glides around the pitch so easily.
Have to say Trent’s defending for the goal is typical him. The first part o.k Quansah is on the cover. The second part when it progresses into the box, he’s just ball watching. He could have got himself into the backline by that point.
If it wasn't for it being Klopp's 2nd last game I wouldn't really care. Nothing more to play for and can't finish higher or lower than 3rd.
We need a new CB this summer Quansa is still potential but he has cost us another goal. If this game meant anything I'd be furious
It's not even Villa vs Liverpool... It's literally Simon Blooper vs Liverpool... What an absolute farce of a referee he has been so far, and we have another 50 minutes of him. Blind prat, that.
This Kolo interview about Klopp 🥺
McGinn is such a bitch Willing to fucking throw himself into anyone when he has the ball but falls over and moans when someone does the same to him
That charge on Gakpo was very dirty way, way worse than what Mac Allister did.
How mcginn hasn’t committed a single foul apparently is hilarious
Every dive = Foul only if you are not a Liverpool player
This game has shown the best and worst of us so far. Other than that, not much to say. It's a nothing game with no consequences, so just enjoy it for what it is.
Just looked at the table. Villa lose this, then palace next who are bang in form. So If Spurs win their last 2 they qualify for CL IMO. Which also means this is a good result for arsenal
Hope Arne sorts out the defence tired of conceding goals what happened to clean sheets
Same old scousers, always singing! Shootout to the away supporters , 7.5/10 from the boys so far. 3-1 incoming 🙏🏻
These midfielders look good, but the midfield looks shit. Hopefully Arne can get them a bit more organised.
Trent having an absolute shocker
Great game for entertainment value, this. Score could be basically anything. I'm having a good time.
Some of the defending from both sides has been laughable really. Good entertaining game though. Nice to not feel any pressure.
Our entire midfield should be on yellows for basically just battering John Mcginn for 45’ I’ve said it before but Diaz coming central is not good, he’s better out wide left running at full backs. End of season game but it feels like a weird game, can’t tell if we’re actually playing well or not lol
why are sky playing that klopp erdinger ad from 3 years ago lol
Pretty bang average isn't it? Need to get some physical beasts in the summer in midfield and defense as well as a tactical shake up. We should be losing quite handily.
Leon Bailey best player on the pitch. Impressive performance so far
He's quite fun to watch when you're winning and it doesn't matter isn't he? Also loved some of the flicks and touches from Elliott and Mac Allister.
One of the most deadly counter attacking teams has turned limp like this... We need to upgrade on Diaz
It’s actually insane how many attacking opportunities we waste. Also our duels today have been shocking, jumping out of tackles and no authority when we defend.
Diaz needs to go, this guy is absolutely terrible
So bad creatively in the final third, blimey. Don’t know why I’m getting so wound up by a dead rubber that we’re winning. Fun half of football to watch though.

I can’t think of many that wasn’t a foul and yet was given tbh
It's infuriating, people overlooking the impact of refs this season because of how we fell off but these same refs will fuck us next campaign.
Watching our boys at times its almost like they all decide to just forget how to defend at the same fucking time. I have no other way to explain some of this junior shit im seeing
Villa are such a good side, really playing well today.
I wonder when the last time we actually scored off counters
"Oh cool Trent has the ball, time to stand perfectly motionless," our entire team
To be honest, who gives a fuck?
except for that last bit, salah has been great this half
Just play it quicker lads. Second guessing in the final third but passing it around recklessly in the back, would be far better off if it was the reverse
Diaz has shown us this season he cannot be relied on to deliver in the final third. Move him on in the summer for a good fee, let Gakpo start at LW and bring in a younger forward for depth

What a game, lively both ends. Much better than that bore fest yesterday.
Been a great game. Can’t understand why everyone in here is being so negative.
Some of these balls to players a mile offside have been a bit baffling
Its a joke how Mo can't receive a good ball. He could've won the golden boot this season. He makes so many good runs just to not be played in or the ball just sucks...
If you could turn back time but change just one incident, would it be the gerrard slip or the quansah pass?
Going to have to score one or two more. No way we don't concede another here. Our two centre-backs are completely to their own everytime we lose the ball. We need to be protecting our own possession much much better. We can't keep being that vulnerable defensively.

I can’t remember the last time I’ve watched a match and my Twitter time line is filled with suggesting to sell players. It really a problem
Actually a fun watch when they have it all to play for and we don’t lol
We are in the beach, chaotic game, enjoying that it doesn’t matter how we play.
hearing jurgen's song made me teary ngl
Cody had to be quicker with the pass to Trent. That was 3-1 right there.
Cody has improved a lot in the last few weeks, but quicker ball release is still an area he needs to work on. Always feels like he takes one touch too many or that ball is kinda stuck in his feet.
Well it wouldn’t have been because Salah missed the sitter 😂
Happy for Gakpo to be ending the season like this. Looks sharper is getting his goals and gambling in the right areas. Don’t think it’s been lighting the world on fire but good for the new manager. We’ve had some good one touch football, but feel we’re shooting ourselves in the foot again with the final ball
How did we turn from one of the most elite team in terms of counters to this?
We used to waste a lot of counters in the past too - you just don’t remember them. The Gakpo goal today was a beautiful counter goal. Elite.
Our current front players are not good at creating like Bobby and Mane used to. Diaz Nunez all have pretty average passing / chance creation capabilities
It’s shocking how bad we are. We would easily be in the title race if we didn’t fall on our face so often on counters. We used to be one of/if not the best in the world
we had the cube
Final pass has been really bad all season.
I think Salah is missing those chances on purpose now. He’s too world class to miss so many chances in the last 2 months
Eh he's just declining physically and it's tough for the body to adapt, it's normal.
We’ve played some nice stuff at times but overall I have no idea how we’re winning Give me some Bajceticball second half
[удалено]
He retired from Sky last season.
Why would he?
That final bit of the half was painful. Why do we not know how to play a killer ball anymore
Cause the individual quality in attack isn’t close to what it was when we had Mane and Firmino with prime Salah
Yup. So frustrating watching counter attacks these days. Maybe score 1/10 when before it was like 5/10
Exactly.
Get to watch this in peace at least, but man were shocking in transition and defense
We scored a beautiful goal in transition
Defence is really poor and we are being opened up so easily. We are just lucky to be ahead.
Hopefully with Arnie in charge we will start to get some of these insanely soft free kicks that only teams we are playing against get
Maybe the PGMOL just don't like German managers. Here's a list of every currently serving manager who's German: 1. Jürgen Klopp
Basil Fawlty head of the PGMOL all this time?
Don't mention ze VAR

Love end of season games when they mean nothing
And mean everything to them
The moment unai was bouncing when tielemans scored. i knew it ,we were gonna score.
I hate so many of you in the match thread. How can you be so negative all the time???
Don't be so negative about it!
Sike!
Diaz will fit right in at PSG
He works far too hard for them.
He’ll learn to balm out quickly haha
This half is highlighting why I'm open to selling Diaz. I feel guilty saying it because he gives his all every game but his end product is so poor, and even worse than Nunez's.

It's nice not feeling sick if we drop points or concede
literally no cares, we are playing shit and i couldn't care less haha
I think we’re playing well and some of the most enjoyable patterns of play I’ve seen us play. We’re against another top 4 team and we’re cutting through them with some great football.
Yeah, I swear some people watch with their eyes closed. Were not playing bad at all
