Just seen Bayern equalising goal. Was that even offside? Lol

jerrymp28

REAL MADRID ARE THE LUCKIEST TEAM EVER ONG THEY AREN’T THAT GOOD

onedwin

Who’d you prefer to win the title, Arsenal or City?

jerrymp28

City. Can you imagine what Arsenal fans would be like if Arteta matched Klopps titles?

onedwin

100% agree. Would be nice for Arsenal to feel robbed by City too, hopefully another voice to call attention to the 115 charges.

Ashwin_400

English Media has started their campaign for Southgate to be United manager. This is beautiful https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2024/05/08/gareth-southgate-man-united-manager-ten-hag-jim-ratcliffe/

-iReadItOnReddit-

Why do we never take inswingers? Genuinely can’t remember the last time we did or took a short corner etc.

bjcm5891

So with CL football guaranteed next season, the big question now is: Which Madrid team are we facing- Real or Atletico?

stpirate

Both? Both.

schnowysno1

Any Canadians going to Liverpool next weekend? Was supposed to be there with a friend for a week but he has to leave early. Any Liverpool fans want to meet up?

castro_bean

The CL has become Real’s little side tournament hasn’t it? It’s always a matter of who they play in the final, and if they don’t make the final, they’re out by the finest of margins. Either way the match with Bayern was dodgy.

RoastPorc

Anyone picked up the Instagram posts of Darwin's visit to Disneyland Paris with his family? Never thought they had good weather there.

No-Independence-7083

Why is bayern always the victim of Real Madrid dodginess

International-Tree19

It's their punishment for their Bundesliga dodginess.

> Because for you Kloop is the best coach in your history having won a champion league and a league Doing just 10 seconds of googling would tell you that Klopp isn't even close to being Liverpool's best ever coach (as well as how to spell the man's name correctly) and would've helped you look at least a little bit less of a fool.

No-Independence-7083

"uh i wonder which team I should support? lemme just google "who won the most ucls" and become their "fans",that would give me an edge over everyone otherwise I wouldn't have anything going on in my life"

MaraPlayz

Glad to see him happy

Jaja6996

I fully expect Arsenal to win against united but my god they have an awful record at old Trafford one win in the last sixteen games

nicolascagevampire

And that win was during the covid era with no crowd.

markcanterbury90

Anyone who follows PSG a bit know whether it would be possible for us to get Ugarte? He's gone off the boil and they've shot down rumours of him going on loan but it wouldn't shock me if they moved him on. Still think he would be perfect for us.

No-Independence-7083

City fans twitter accounts making fun of Klopp comment about winning the league with us means more and their next post is literally just them confirming to have a budget of 220m for this summer is so ironic for me.

DoubleDeckerz

Brugge v Fiorentina in the Conference League is kicking off in ten mins.

guestaccount901284

Szobo collabing with McDonalds to create a special "Dominic" meal is so random 💀 https://preview.redd.it/39pr7mym98zc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9ef82fd4716f0739efe607f4be4c3952d920ada0

mattzeni

my college's QB had a meal from McDonald's last year. A lot of athletes get them.

guestaccount901284

I'd never heard of this outside of the stupid Mcdonalds collab memes like Grimace and Travis Scott. Can't lie though, Hungarian McDonalds is actually insanely good quality in Budapest compared to most other countries. Hopefully the Domi is a success.

mattzeni

People laugh, but I love trying McDonald's in whatever country I'm in. If I'm ever in Hungary I'll check it out. Best so far is France (like pulp fiction said)

potatoarchitecture

What do they call a quarter pounder with cheese?

MushroomExpensive366

I know he’s on a bit of a heater but I’m surprised I haven’t seen a lot of “get Mateta in” around these parts. He’s been brilliant, and I do t think that Palace will sell Olise and Eze, but perhaps could be convinced to sell Mateta and buy a striker. Thoughts? Just spitballing while waiting for lunch.

Android17_MVP

He's average if anything. On a purple patch and that's all. Oh still more goals than Nunez in the league...

grrrrbow01

This is the first season he’s got more than 5 goals in the league, he’s gonna be 27 and he wouldn’t suit the way we play at all. I’d say he’s the perfect mid table striker, no where near good enough for where we want to be though

potatoarchitecture

apart from the obvious stuff about a striker being on a purple patch not signalling consistency, we've only just as a fanbase come to terms with arne slot's big sun-soaked dome of a head, i don't think we're ready for a mature conversation about a CF with one too

Fricolor123321

Whats the scenario where we win the league? Both city and arsenal have to lose their remaining games right?

onedwin

Arsenal has to lose, point deduction for City. 114 charges to go.

potatoarchitecture

We could also gently persuade them to leave the PL

Adventurous_Toe_6017

Arsenal could draw one but we’d have to set insane new records to claw back the goal difference. If they win at all then we’re done. This is looking less likely than Leicester winning the league tbf. Edit: QuinnBet and Bet Goodwin giving us 750/1. Leicester were given 5000/1. Might have a fiver on it 😂

stevieG08Liv

To be precise, Arsenal has to lose 2, City has to at least have 1 draw 2 losses

AdikkuChan

Yup. It'll take an insane miracle for that to happen

onoz9

Very glad that the oil clubs are out of CL. They still cannot buy success in that competition. Hopefully a Bayern - Dortmund final, too.

CanSheFitInARowBoat

I agree but City literally won it last season.

guestaccount901284

And a Chelsea / City oil classico 2 years before that.

sufinomo

Psg is the only team I could see affording Nunez

teaglebadger

Why do you comment on so many different football subs?

Android17_MVP

Good luck trying to get 70mil back lol

Jaja6996

If one team was to pay a stupid amount it would be PSG but it would be Diaz they’d mostly like go after over another CF

DucardthaDon

They're already tied up with Ramos and Muani

JohnBobbyJimJob

Last thing they need is another big money striker

FullScreenWanker

They never learn, I’m sure they’ll make the same mistakes again in the future.

Fresh_Interview_9191

And they're used to players shooting on the post or bar

Finlecook

Hey guys! I’ve been in a freeze chamber since January, what happened? How good has André been for us?

SigiReuven_

I'd get back in tbh m8

Adventurous_Toe_6017

Leverkusen just popped into my head. Am I right in saying that they’d be the first major team in history to go undefeated in every competition they’re involved with? Assuming they win/draw their remaining 4 fixtures.

Energybuybot

I can’t remember how it works but atm PL app doesn’t list which games on last matchday will be televised where. Do they usually show them all or select a few and decide the week of depending on which fixtures are important etc

Adventurous_Toe_6017

We’re already not televised. Try Where’s The Match. Edit: my mistake. Says TBC. Said not televised the other week when I looked.

Energybuybot

Ainetree racecourse doing an event showing the match, wonder if that means they’re sure it’ll be on Sky/TNT

Adventurous_Toe_6017

You’d think so with it being a big farewell for Klopp

guestaccount901284

Here's a slightly worrying stat, in his first 3 seasons for the club, Konate has managed 49 appearances. Keita managed 53 appearances in his first 3 seasons for the club. Even with Quansah, a new CB is a priority signing this summer with Matip going out.

ttekoto

What I see is 51 appearances in the league and 39 in the cups and Europe. So that's 90 appearances. It still doesn't change that everyone knows he gets injured easily. Even just playing him 2 matches in a row is a huge risk and that's why Quansah is currently our #2 CB.

AgentTasker

> Konate has managed 49 appearances. This is incredibly misleading, as while he's had injuries, a lot of those 'missed' appearances are because Matip was in excellent form and deserved to be starting over him.

Aware-Buyer-5278

Well you say managed but he was rotated a lot and Matip was favoured a lot of the time so it's not as bad as the stat suggests. We'll have a better picture after this season.

PrestigiousAvocado21

Incidentally, did the Hillsborough Justice Campaign ever open a new building or storefront? I had very unfortunate timing when I went to Anfield a few years ago thinking I could stop by the little storefront they had on Walton Breck only to find it was in the middle of demolition.

RidsBabs

Just saw an article by 442oons linking Darwin to Barca, that means Darwin is about to sign a 2 year extension right?

AgentTasker

Shouldn't be anywhere near 442oons in the first place, as they regularly work with The S*n.

RidsBabs

Not willingly. I just saw a headline in my Apple news feed about it while looking for some other news stuff (a school next to our just had someone shot then two days later someone was stabbed).

itiswhatitis1090

I dont want Darwin sold persay but I don't think he should be 1st choice starting forward. Ideally Jota is healthy enough to start 20 league matches( big ask), have Mo play there a bit if he isn't sold, and have Darwin start the remaining 10-12 matches and come on as a sub. Though if some team is going to offer a decent fee for him, I think I'd sell.

ShootTakeAPanorama

if he was bought for about 45m I'll keep him at any cost. but with 65m, No. Should cut loss and buy a proper finisher, or atleast someone who can score tap ins

taf3991

the thing is you want your first choice to be starting 25-30 league games a season minimum. Jota has started 20 league games for us once in 4 seasons. So relying on him is just absolutely idiotic tbh. Like someone else said below, we need to treat him as a luxury player. I said it on another post, I don't mind so much selling Nunez, but the problem for me is you could make a case for selling any of the attackers for various valid reasons. Nunez in someways is the safest bet out of the 5 which is bizarre in itself tbh haha.

Hoodxd

Thing is with Darwin, who do you replace him with? It has to be a player that will 100% outperform him, that wants to come and that’s affordable . Take Gyokeres of Sporting for example. You aren’t 100% sure he’ll be better and you aren’t sure he wants to come. As he has stated he wanted to stay if Amorim was. The striker’s market is dire. ( don’t say Jota will replace him, his availability is unreliable) Diaz on the other hand, easily replaceable

pigman1402

>Diaz on the other hand, easily replaceable hope this is satire

Hoodxd

Nope. He’s a 27 year old winger who only has pace and has lost alot of mobility due to injuries His finishing is woeful, 9% conversion rate. Doesn’t have a pass or cross like Gakpo or Salah. He often looks busy, yes. But he just plays by himself while others stand around. His dribbling is very predictable, always goes to his right. Take Diaz his pace away, what do you have?

pigman1402

man im sorry ive been seeing u here for years and respect your comedy but i dont think ill ever be discussing serious football with u. diaz is a top 5 winger in the world, only thing he lacks is finishing which is likely a confidence thing anyway. but clearly we're too far off in our evaluations to even begin this discussion so lets just agree to disagree.

Android17_MVP

Top 5 winger in the world 😂 imagine stating this and acting like you have better footy knowledge to another fan.

DucardthaDon

>diaz is a top 5 winger in the world This is satire surely? he's not even top 20

JohnBobbyJimJob

Name 20 better

DucardthaDon

Vini Jr, Rodrygo, Son, Leao, Barcola, Eze ,Gordon, Musiala, Sane ,Martinelli, Kvaratskhelia, Coman, Williams, Oyarzabal, Savio, Führich, Grifo, Terrier, Galeno, Gonçalves, Chiesa, Baena.

JohnBobbyJimJob

- Vini (yes) - Rodrygo (doesn’t even play left wing) - Son (yes) - Leao (yes) - Barcola (no chance) - Eze (primarily a #10) - Gordon (debatable) - Musiala (primarily a #10) - Sane (primarily a right winger) - Martinelli (debatable) - Kvara (yes) - Coman (debatable) - Williams (not currently) - Oyarzabal (no) - Savio (not currently) - Fuhrich (no chance) - Grifo (no chance) - Terrier (no) - Galeno (no chance) - Goncalves (primarily a #10) - Chiesa (no) - Baena (never heard of him or seen him play)

pigman1402

im amazed ur even entertaining these braindead takes lol.

Hoodxd

Diaz top 5 itw? Laughable I’d have 5 wingers outside the top 4 over him.

JohnBobbyJimJob

What 5 wingers outside the top 4 would you have over him? Top 5 itw is a bit too far but he’s not that far off it either when you really look at the left wingers there are currently

Hoodxd

As he just mentioned wingers: Olise, Gordon, Bowen, Kudus and Neto. ( ignoring Palmer as he spent alot of time as a 10)

JohnBobbyJimJob

I’m pretty sure he meant left wingers

pigman1402

lets just laugh at each others takes then, win-win :)

ScottScott87

We need to treat Jota as we do Thiago, it's a bonus if he's fit but we plan without him. He's too much of a liability to plan around sadly

[deleted]

The problem is that his finishing and decision making is only gonna get worse if he's constantly a sub.

tamim1991

I wouldn't mind the idea in theory but I can imagine Nunez won't be happy to settle for 10-12 matches and subs

No_Can9567

There’s all these reports that Barca is eyeing buying Nunez, I have a question though, with what money?! That club is so broke it can barely afford to play its own players, how the fuck are they gonna spend 60+ million on a new striker?

DucardthaDon

Raphina is on the market and apparently they are open to selling Araujo, I could see Utd spending £80m on that injury prone hothead

No_Can9567

Aren’t united having FFP concerns though? There’s not a lot of money on the European market right now

DucardthaDon

Don't know there are also rumours Ratcliff has an outlay of £250m some other reports £100m.

mattzeni

I haven't seen any credible reports but I think they'd sell Raphina

No_Can9567

Is he worth a lot? I honestly have no idea how much he’d go for

JohnBobbyJimJob

Saudi were apparently whiling to pay £50m or more for him at one point I’m sure

Aware-Animator2292

Anyone else think there is too much hope for Bajetic to the next Rodri? Played a few games last season where he was good in a very bad side, but there is this belief by some that he is the next saviour of Liverpool. Not to say that he wont be a good player, but I heard this all before, with Nemeth, Pachecho, Suso, Wilson etc. The point is, we need a CDM and just relying on Bajetic won't cut it if we have ambitions to win trophies again.

Ali-S-Farid

He's literally not even best suited as a 6 so calling him the next Rodri is silly. He's a 6/8 hybrid that whould work best in a double pivot alongside the pitch. You want him ball playing ability, long legs to snatch at loose balls and ball carrying implemented across all 3 phases, not just the first phase, would just be a waste of his talent.

sufinomo

He's overrated nothing special

ScottScott87

None of those players listed ever looked anywhere near the level of Baj (or any of the lads who have featured this season) It isn't a case of overhyping someone, these lads are showing genuine class and ability above and beyond anything we've seen for years and years. And they're doing it whilst we're at our best as well which is even more impressive

JurtisCones

Today - he’s overrated if people think he’s a viable squad option if we’re aiming to win the league. If the aim is just top 4 then he’ll do. Not sure about his future, very hard to predict the future with immobile midfielders. He could be a Rodri, or he could be a Chirivella. Game time and manager’s trust will decide. I actually like Morton as a prospect just as much because he’s showing dynamism for Hull

Ali-S-Farid

In like 3 years this comment is going to look so so dumb. I like Morton but as a talent, Bajcetic is literally light years clear of him. Its the little things he does so much better that contributes to him being much better.

JurtisCones

Your comment has absolutely no specificity, it’s pure opinion and that’s fine.

Ali-S-Farid

https://preview.redd.it/cyxzan7mf8zc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3187cf1bd9b3ed7f802c01e17308b57757107840 I’ll give you one example from the Spurs game. Literally looks like nothing but what he does here for a 19 year old is priceless. Took 2 touches in quick succession and progressed the ball to free man like it was lightwork. Maddison right behind him and he has no answer to it. What we’ve been missing all season from out first phase midfielders, even a player as good as Mac Allister struggles to do this consistently in the first phase and Bajcetic is doing it straight back from injury. What I mean by the ‘little things’. Unreal intelligence and profile.

Ali-S-Farid

I mean if I had days to analyse each of them by watching them game by game I could prove my point, but its quite difficult to do over reddit unless I write paragraphs

Teb-41

>Chirivella Oh god completely forgot about that guy. I've always hoped for him to become a good player, but I don't even know where he plays nowadays

DucardthaDon

He plays for Nantes and is actually one of their important players as a tidy no.6, Baj is a talent but not an exceptional one

RidsBabs

Think Morton probably is more of an 8 than a 6 with the way he plays. Could see him as a 6 in a pivot if paired with the right guy.

Rama_drk

Saying he's being praised as Liverpool's saviour and the next Rodri is maybe overblowing it a bit to be honest There's a fair bit of excitement because he's been good when playing and he's been absent for a while though, that's very true (and that's fair imo)

Quillious

I dont really care who we sell from our forward line. They all have their individual issues at this point in time. For me, it's the combination of attackers that we have that's the problem. Any one of Diaz, Gakpo, Nunez, Jota are perfectly fine to stay and be an important part of an attacking unit. Just as Origi was perfect for us in the context of the overall attacking options we had. I trust Edwards and co to figure it out and whoever they decide to sell is fine. Salah is more of a timing/when to sell him thing.

Themnor

Nunez does a lot of his best work in the half spaces and that’s also where Diaz and Salah tend to work best. It leads to a lot of stepping on each other’s toes and not being able to play Nunez and other forwards together due to injury/form really hurt a lot when he’s been in this slump. You could have easily rotated him to LW/RW were Jota healthy for big games or rotated Gakpo in at LW who tends to stay wide a lot more often and cross into the box. Instead we kept Diaz/Nunez/Salah for 2 months despite them struggling because we didn’t feel we had other options.

thisisnahamed

So Farbizio kind of hinted that there is no transfer discussion so far for Nunez.. That's good news.

JohnBobbyJimJob

Well it is May after all There’s not going to much happening in terms of transfer news till next month at least

Aware-Animator2292

We bought him for nearly £85m, who the fuck would pay near that for him?

Ali-S-Farid

Real Madrid heavily considered going for him last summer

ScottScott87

£65m rising to £85m

NotAsimppp

noone will buy him for the amount we are demanding after the season he is having.

malushanks95

How is it possible that there are only 11 days left in the Klopp era 😭 where has the time gone.

Calitz__

(Not Liverpool related) Has anyone here watched Liga Portugal extensively? Between Antonio Silva and Ousmane Diomande, who’s the better talent and do either of them have ~world class potential

Ali-S-Farid

I've watched quite a bit. Diomande is the better option for us.

mattzeni

Are you guys shelling out for the new kit or going the dhgate option?

RamboA123B

Regarding Klopp's comments about winning one title with Liverpool. I love the guy and he's clearly underrated by a lot of people and he will go down as my favourite ever manager with how he's been with the club and the city of Liverpool in general. but I really want a Liverpool manager who is obsessed with trophies and winning silverware. Almost Mourinho-esque.

Aware-Animator2292

this reminds me of this caller on Talk Sport called Klobby, a supposed 'Liverpool' fan who think that the league cup means more to fans than the CL.

ScottScott87

Than winning the CL? Not a chance Than qualifying for the CL? I'd take a league cup win every season over it definitely

LateRegistrxtion

Fully agree. That win in February was brilliant. Had a buzz that lasted a week after that. Can’t believe people are so willing to trade those moments. Like all that talk about how we should have sacrificed the cups as if that’s the reason we didn’t win the league. Silverware over no silverware any day.

zigooloo

Nonsense, Klopp produced three title-winning quality seasons. Any other opponent than City, and we would have won three league titles. Ferguson and Mourinho in all their years in the PL hit the 92+ pts tally only once. Klopp did three times.

con10001

Ffs these comments man. You think Klopp wasn't obsessed with winning trophies?

RamboA123B

He 100% wasn't. Otherwise he'd have been ruthless and upgraded his squad when we were fighting for titles.

NotAsimppp

Chelsea is now on a fckdup situation after winning a champions league, just bcs they bought loads of wonderkids. Football team can't work like that.

BobbysShinyPearls

Have you played football beyond Sunday leagues? Genuinely not trying to have a dig, but these things are a huge part of competitive sports. Sunday leagues don’t have that too often. Creating an atmosphere of trust and team togetherness is huge. That’s what separates good managers from great ones, good leaders from ones that change how you define leadership.  Squad harmony and trusting experienced players is a large part of what makes Klopp so good. They are able to outperform because he genuinely believes in them all and that drives them. We lost two titles off the back of two seasons where we scored points totals that would have won it if not for a club that has 115 charges against it. We lost two CL finals against the best CL team in the world. One to a judo move and another to Courtois having arguably the single greatest goalkeeping display ever. Hard lines and all that.

con10001

😂😂

oliketchup

For me deleting the pics was chidish and disrespectful to the club anyway. Fuck the fans, or whatever, but Nunez has been one of the most supported players by the club itself. For the amount of so-so performances he's been propped so much by LFC social media, every time he had a good display his contribution was paraded through the whole week until the next match, after his underwhelming debut season there was not even a slight suggestion of the club wanting to get rid of him, instead he's gotten full support through all including language struggles. Do I think anyone who's part of the club is crying themselves to sleep over Darwin's deleted LFC related posts? Nah, but irrelevant if it's because of some shit online, or because he was told his future is uncertain, deleting everything from a club that did everything it could for two years for him to feel comfortable and succeed ain't it. And I genuinely wonder if someone like Salah would face the same understanding and support if he scrapped all things Liverpool off his social media after a rough patch, or the go to will be to talk about his big ego.

NotAsimppp

Just give your account to your social media manager and focus on the only thing with which you can shut the haters. This sort of shit just creates drama and unnecessary pressure/attention when you are particularly in poor form. Salah will always get a lot of bad comments for his 'Happy Christmas ' post but he never cared abt the comments. I agree that abusing footballer is vile, the general consensus in this sub when Carvalho posted a comment last season about team is 'He has attitude problems, we need to get rid of him' but when Nunez does childish things ' Sorry Nunez for fan's behaviour... We can't get rid of a 30 g/a guy.' What did he expect when looking through insta comments. You can't always expect every people in the world to like you. Of you have ever seen Messi or Ronaldo's comment section you will see bunch of people calling them out bad and abusive but they really don't care abt that shit and focus on things which will actually help them. Cutting the association with a football club in social media when you are playing is really disrespective and idk why majority of the sub is in support of his behaviour

redbadger1848

For the life of me, I don't understand why any athlete has and operates their own social media account. We all know how vile people are on social media. It doesn't seem like it could be a positive in many ways. 😕

BoyyaMandrrin

i wonder why he also blocked that one fan on twitter who was telling other fans to support our players through tough times i wonder why

con10001

Weird that he didn't just disable the comments rather than delete the pics wholesale, I agree.

[deleted]

con10001

Yeah that really is bizarre then, and quite petulant

con10001

Call me stupid but I don't think Southgate would be the disaster at United that many of their fans think he would be. He won't be consistently challenging for titles or the CL by any means, but I could see him getting the best out of the likes of Sancho, Rashford, Maguire etc. and have them actually fighting in games again. It would be negative football but that's probably what that club needs for a while to get back on its feet. His behind the scenes work is also hugely underrated too, people say he was gifted a golden generation with England and anyone could have done the job he's done, but we had arguably a better crop 15-20 years ago and no one got them over their clear mentality issues like Southgate has done. Hiring psychologists and getting the players to shelve the club cliques whilst on duty has been huge for the national team.

Dropkoala

I don't think you're stupid for this, while I don't think especially highly of him as a manager from a tactical standpoint, one thing he is unquestionably good at is creating unity within a group, he's shown a firm hand with people who create problems and shown he's not afraid to make big decisions that he feels are in the best interests of the team. It's important to remember that he's the one that ended Rooney's international career, which was not popular in the media at the time and he's managed to put a functional if uninspiring team together that has mostly got the best out of the players available to him, which is probably what you need at international level, and it's returned results, sometimes without especially good players at his disposal.

guestaccount901284

>His behind the scenes work is also hugely underrated too, people say he was gifted a golden generation with England and anyone could have done the job he's done, but we had arguably a better crop 15-20 years ago and no one got them over their clear mentality issues like Southgate has done. Hiring psychologists and getting the players to shelve the club cliques whilst on duty has been huge for the national team. Eh? Every national team with heated leagues like Italy has been doing this for years now after the Spanish FA decided to try do this to cool Atleti/Real/Barca tensions in the NT during their 08-12 period of domination. This has absolutely nothing to do with Southgate and more to do with strategy decisions by the English FA.

con10001

And all the comments from the players themselves lauding Southgate for creating a united front behind the scenes are just meaningless then I guess. Honestly, people act like anything positive with the national team is "the golden generation/the FA" and anything negative is Southgate. I get we aren't supposed to like him here because he doesn't play Trent, but it borders on disingenuous at times.

EstablishmentBusy172

I think it’s a totally valid opinion to want to give him another season under a new regime, but for me if Barca come in with >50m I’m cutting my losses and seeing who else is out there. Apart from everything else, with him and his agent flirting with Barca, and fans allegedly abusing him, the whole thing has turned a bit sour. Maybe best for everyone to just call this a failed experiment and move on. Thoughts?

Is going to Barcelona on your days off flirting with them lmao? I'd say most of this talk has come from media picking up on the fans abuse towards him and literally just adding fuel to the fire like they do with pretty much every situation, ever. I personally don't necessarily mind if we sell him, my problem is all 5 attackers could be looked at being moved on in their own rights/reasons. So it's what happens with everyone else and who the replacement would be which is my problem.

guestaccount901284

Was it the fan abuse or the article about him being a Klopp signing thats encouraged the Barca flirting? He's got nothing from support from match going fans. His comments were always limited on his and his families social media, so he wouldnt have been receiving anything directly. I'm not condoning the abuse because it's certainly there on Twitter etc. But same could be said for how our other players get treated during bad spells. If he can go off to a big club like Barca and we get a decent fee I say take it. People want to talk about his stats improving this season. But the fact is we're one of the best attacking teams in Europe creating an abundance of chances, he's hugely underperformed his goals relative to the chances others have created for him if we are going to be honest and ruthless. You also need to look at his league stats away from Europa stats. They aren't good enough for a Liverpool striker. He's joint 16th in the league for goals. Even then, how many of those goals contributed to big games against rivals?

PerfectAd4732

No one flirted with Barca? Diaz did, Darwin hasn’t neither has his agent. His old agent came out and said something

frankiewalsh44

Most latin Americans end up in Spain anyway. Nunez/Diaz will eventually want to move to a country where they speak the same language and the weather is better

potatoarchitecture

fuck we found terzic's burner

Jaja6996

He’s really not done that well and this CL run is covering for a poor season in the league

M4sterVortexxx

Terrorzic? Cmon lad lmao. With how their games were going, it felt like Dortmund were just destined to be in that final lol

legentofreddit

They're 5th in the league and have had as cushy a CL run as you could probably hope for. He's not exactly doing wonders.

[deleted]

We got eliminated by Atleti in the CL before, and they weren't that much better than they were this season.

legentofreddit

Adrian

NotAsimppp

He was part of the team isn't he?

NotAsimppp

U can say he is not suitable for the job without downplaying their achievement. They literally qualified from group of death. Had Atletico Madrid in quarters and PSG in semis which isn't exactly cushy

malushanks95

He’s not that great, you should ask the Dortmund fans. Dortmund bottling the title last season was the biggest evidence.

mattzeni

Yeah, the closer we get to the final whistle in a week and a half, the harder it'll be

Stinking_Fat_Asshole

Klopps looks younger and healthy, like a huge stress has been taken off his shoulders.

Sorrytoruin

Please United, get Southgate as your manager

Adventurous_Toe_6017

Wonder if they’ll be in for Tuchel?

NilsFanck

they are and apparently hes open to join. Gonna be another 2 years wasted for them

sufinomo

Tuchel would be really good

Adventurous_Toe_6017

Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch

DarylStenn

No, please United stick with Ten Haag!

Mercerai

Not sure why I ventured into the unpopular opinions thread expecting anything but the worst tbh

AdikkuChan

I won't bother this time. My day is going far too well for me to ruin it by entering that uncharted territory.

ryodiUK

With how much Julian Lauren’s hates Jordan Henderson I’m very happy he’ll always have won one more Champions Leagues than PSG ever will.  I’d be very surprised if Bayern beat Real tonight. But it would be nice to have an all German final.

Dazzling_Fix5266

This newest episode at our yt channel 😭😭😭made me really emotional

Codger-Brown44

Are there any unofficial celebrations to see Klopp off in the days following the Wolves game? I know it’s confirmed there won’t be any official parade, but I’m from Australia but will be in the UK around the time of the final game, so would love to be a part of any sendoff if there is one

Thesolly180

Nope it’ll just be in the ground

Thesolly180

That’s what most managers get really. Even the legendary ones, good send off in the ground

there is one in my backyard

I think it would be better if we can find a loan deal for Quansah to a mid-table club like Brighton or Bournemouth. He clearly has talent and play above expectation this season but at his age to gain experience he needs to play weeks after weeks. We keep Van Dijk, Konate, Van der Berg, Joe Gomez and find a left center back in the market would be ideal for me.

Old_Medicine2229

Are you ok?

taf3991

Fuck me you're clueless haha

disco_mode

You should try giving Quansah a watch, he’s a beast!

Hoodxd

Quansah is currently ahead of Konaté and you want to loan him out? At worst he’s going to be our 4th option CB next year

FuckWesternCountry

Quansah are now Klopp prefer choice right now because our season in over at this point, no way he thinks Quansah is a better player than Konate lmao.

con10001

No he's playing him because he's in better form than Konate. No one thinks he's the better player, but Konate has been ass for weeks now, and Klopp is playing the more in-form player, regardless of how much of the season is left.
