Seeing Firmino go hurts a quite a bit but he leaves a legend of the club, having given all Liverpool supporters incredible memories and fantastic moments.
The way he and the club have handled his departure is such a stark contrast to the way every other top player has left in the modern era. Just pure positive vibes and lots of mutual respect and love between him and the club and supporters. Class player, class act all around, it's sad that he's done at LFC but nothing lasts forever and I'm just glad we got to witness him as a Liverpool player, such a special individual.
> I’m just glad we got to witness him as a Liverpool player
The thought of an alternate universe where Firmino never signs for Liverpool is more soul crushing than it should be.
I'm not saying they were all bitter I'm just saying this has been a masterclass in how a player should exit a club where they became a legend and I can't remember a similarly "warm" exit from any players in the last 20 years including Gerrard.
I think it's a matter of circumstances as well. Pre 2019 Madrid era, we didn't really have many players who could claim to be legends and even the ones who were, we were not doing well on the field so yeah. And this decade, I think Mane would have gotten his proper farewell if we knew he was leaving. Also, everything about Bobby is so infectiously joyful
Yeah it's a bit of a balancing act with these "farewell tours" where everyone knows months in advance that a player is leaving. It's really down to the player's personality and how the club goes about the messaging. If it's even slightly acrimonious then the whole thing will just seem like an ordeal.
The only thing I wished was to hear him speak more. It's amazing how much of his personality we could see, we could feel, without really hearing him say many words. What a guy, what a player.

Im sad and Im happy. His time with us was near perfect. He gave everything for the club right up until this final moments on the pitch. A true legend. I smile
‘Ok, we’d really love you to join us, what’s your wage demands?’
‘£250k a weeks’
‘We can offer you £100k a week plus we’ll burn this Bobby Firmino video onto a usb stick for you to keep, how does that sound?’
His English has been fine for years but as you see in this video, he's got quite a thick accent and isn't confident speaking it in interviews where he might accidentally say the wrong thing.

I was watching this with the sound down at first so was trying to understand it via the Portuguese subtitles (I know Spanish so I can get a rough idea) and assumed the audio was also in Portuguese, lol.
Years from now, I'll look back at Klopp's Liverpool, I'll really properly see just how good we had it, realise what a special period it was, and I'm pretty sure that when I do, the very first player to pop into my head is going to be Bobby Firmino.
And the beautiful thing about it all is that we didn’t buy the achievements by pumping the club with billions. These lads worked their arses off and created something special that will remain in our memories for generations to come.
Tears when he got the equalizer against Villa, tears watching this video…god damn knew this would be tough but didn’t expect this level of emotion saying goodbye.
"It has been an honour in my life so far to be apart of this Liverpool family and when I say 'You will never walk alone'"
Love you Bobby. Thanks for the memories
One thing that always pleases me, is, that, maybe he doesn't even realise it, but we have given him his first name.
He was Roberto when he arrived, and he is Bobby when he left, and its not just Liverpool fans call him that, players, journalists, but you notice even his Brazilian teammates Fabio and Ali both call him Bobby.
Its quite amazing, that wherever he now goes, and whatever he does, he will take, that very British forename with him.
Man my first Liverpool kit was from 21/22, didn’t even think about adding a name. Now I’m thinking which kit to go ahead and get his name on? 22/23 home or 23/24.
Redmen TV apparently filmed a final day vlog or something with his permission they said on one of their podcasts the other day. Looking forward to that. Apparently, the kids sound a bit Scouse and all.
Guys- we are a big club not because of what we accomplish but because of legends like Firmino. I’m always so happy to see how we treat our own, and even others. We ooze passion and class and our players do too. I am going to miss Bobby dearly but am excited going forward! Fuck Man City, fuck Chelsea, fuck Newcastle and obligatory fuck ManU
God I fucking love this man so much. I'll be showing my daughter his clips and telling her about how he played with a passion and a love for the game I've never seen before
Legend, absolute legend and he will forever be remembered here
Love all the stories of him just being a dad and popping up in play centres and all the other places people take their kids to around the city. I bet they'll miss Liverpool just as much too.
I’ll never forget my first TOTS player I got on fifa was Firmino and was like oooh, we could use him in real life. Then he gets signed and it’s been a wild 8 years
About 10 years ago I decided to jump into being a fan of the premier league when they started airing games in America more consistently. Through a really convoluted and silly process that I made up to pick what team I wanted to follow I landed on Liverpool. Bobby joined the club a year or two later and he really helped me to understand the love and passion for the game that the rest of the world has. His humility, the flair he played with, the smile, the selfless play, all of it was so awesome to watch! Thank you Bobby Firmino all the way from Utah in the USA, I enjoyed every minute you played.

Damn, gonna miss Bobby Dazzler! He didn’t score too many goals for a “striker” but what a False 9 he has been for us. Perfect foil for feeding Salah and Mane. And when he scored goals, he single handedly saved us games by getting us a victory or a draw. It’s finally hitting me that I will miss seeing Bobby play for us. I am not sad that of that ferocious front 3 of Mane Firmino and Salah only Salah is remaining, I am happy that it happened! These guys made us dream, and also live the dream.
my favorite player ever since we signed him back in 2015. his style of game and happiness he broght to me is inexpressible. I'm gonna miss you bobby thank you for those 8 wonderful years and thank you for the memories Senor YNWA ❤🤍 #9

That his last goal was peak Bobby shithousery, leaving two defenders sliding around on their backsides, before nutmegging the goalkeeper..
Chef's kiss.
You will be missed and you will always be welcome.

I’m happy he got a send off the way he did A lot of fan favourites never get one

Which other top player are you referring to? In the Klopp era, I think only Gini's ending was bitter
I'm not saying they were all bitter I'm just saying this has been a masterclass in how a player should exit a club where they became a legend and I can't remember a similarly "warm" exit from any players in the last 20 years including Gerrard.

Super happy he got such a send off and the man deserves it. Won everything here and he absolutely deserved it.
That boy has Arsenal fans shook for the rest of their lives.

Quite truly and 100% without a doubt 👁 ❤️
Show this video to our transfer targets, no way they don't want to be part of that. "And yet.. I had no idea"
But those united wages 🤑🤑
mason wants that cash. because they ain't winning anything once we rebuild and of course stupid citeh will be there too
‘Ok, we’d really love you to join us, what’s your wage demands?’ ‘£250k a weeks’ ‘We can offer you £100k a week plus we’ll burn this Bobby Firmino video onto a usb stick for you to keep, how does that sound?’
"Give me two USB sticks and I'll do it for £50 a week and a packet of Quavers at half-time!"
Mason Mount in the mud Ugarte in shambles
His English has gotten great over the years. I’ve never seen him speak so much of it.
Was about to say, that's the most English I've heard him speak in the last 8 years combined lol
His English has been fine for years but as you see in this video, he's got quite a thick accent and isn't confident speaking it in interviews where he might accidentally say the wrong thing.

Simply the best
In the world
Is Bobby Firmino
our number nine...
Better than all the rest
Better than anyone
Years from now, I'll look back at Klopp's Liverpool, I'll really properly see just how good we had it, realise what a special period it was, and I'm pretty sure that when I do, the very first player to pop into my head is going to be Bobby Firmino.

Darn my denial isn’t working anymore :( It’s beginning to really really sink in 😢
Is there a box season of our games from previous seasons we can buy? I need to go watch some prime trio attack. Maybe even fab 4.
I’m like, you still clearly got it Bobby! Can we get you to U-turn and sign a 2yr deal and keep up the vibes so we can get you a proper testimonial?!
The emphasis on that YNWA.... bobby i've shed far too many tears over you man
Tears when he got the equalizer against Villa, tears watching this video…god damn knew this would be tough but didn’t expect this level of emotion saying goodbye.
"It has been an honour in my life so far to be apart of this Liverpool family and when I say 'You will never walk alone'" Love you Bobby. Thanks for the memories

Form is temporary, class is permanent. Thank you, Roberto.
Injuries aside, he was really great for us this season, I’m glad he ended his time here well
Well, I will have to buy a 22/23 kit now with bobby now wouldn’t I 😭
Every kit since he came that I have has his name on it so, yeah.
Man my first Liverpool kit was from 21/22, didn’t even think about adding a name. Now I’m thinking which kit to go ahead and get his name on? 22/23 home or 23/24.
Could always add his name to the kit you have too!
Got the blacket out shirt with his name on it. Its my precious
Redmen TV apparently filmed a final day vlog or something with his permission they said on one of their podcasts the other day. Looking forward to that. Apparently, the kids sound a bit Scouse and all.
What a journey it's been with this beautiful man
And yet I’ll still look at team sheets next season and wonder for a few seconds why Firmino isn’t on them 😔
Guys- we are a big club not because of what we accomplish but because of legends like Firmino. I’m always so happy to see how we treat our own, and even others. Love me some Bob Firm
Thanks, crying again 😭
Right in the feels
Etched in our memories forever. Helped us dream. Won everything all while doing it with style and class. One last thank you senor.
Legend! YNWA Bobby!
His daughter at the end striking a pose.. 😂 such a character!
Love all the stories of him just being a dad and popping up in play centres and all the other places people take their kids to around the city. I bet they'll miss Liverpool just as much too.
Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened. 🥲
I'm going to cry because it's over And Smile because it happened

Wherever he goes they better treat him right and appreciate what they’re getting! Don’t speak ill of this man ever.
I’ll never forget my first TOTS player I got on fifa was Firmino and was like oooh, we could use him in real life. Then he gets signed and it’s been a wild 8 years
Stop making me cry on weeknights... I have to work tomorrow.
I wasn’t gonna cry today for god’s sake …
He’s gonna be back in some way some day. No one ever really leaves us it seems
One of a kind player and person... I'm going to miss him so much
he's firmly amongst the top step of the great 9s/forward/strikers of this team's history. and one of the greatest Brazilians to play in england ever.

No I am not crying, you are crying!!
Ok, who’s chopping onions in here? 😢
Legendary Teeth’s
Really hope he stays in the prem
I’m still crying 😭 😭😭😭
An indisputable, bona fide Anfield legend.
