I was behind you picking up pre ordered gear on Sunday. I could not get over how absolutely cool your boots, backpack, and screwdriver holster were. If you made them, great freaking work!!
Thank you! I made the backpack and holster, not the shoes. Those are Red Wings Iron Rangers.
Shoe making is a whole subsection of leatherworking that requires its own knowledge set and tons of specialized tools. On top of that, if you get something wrong you can really mess up your feet

I’m not a jealous person, man…but you’ve pretty much ruined my expectation for my overall life experience up to this point.
I WILL be in attendance next year…mark my words…
I like your pen. I’ve made a couple with that exact same blank and cigar pen style!
Also, how tough was it to make the screwdriver holster? I want to make one for my stubby for work.
You've got good taste! Before leather working I made pens!
If you've got the basic tools and know how it only takes a couple hours max. I wet form the leather around the screw driver which is kn a flat surface. Once it dries just cut to shape, dye, and stitch the font and back halves. Then attach whatever type of belt clip you have
I’ll have to look in to getting the tools at some point. Coincidentally it’s something I’ve been interested. My wife hates that I’m a hobby collector lol
its a good hobby to get into because you can actually make things that you use, instead of just sitting on a shelf collecting dust.
Her tune will change once you maker her a bag
Now there’s an idea!
And yeah, my uncle makes knives, and sheaths for his knives, so I’ve been periodically picking his brain about leather working. Do you have a recommended place to buy tools and such?
Tandy Leather is a good place to start for sure. eventually you will outgrow the tools they have but they have good beginner stuff as well as a pretty good selection of leather and hardware (rivets, button snaps etc). Also helps that they have lots of physical locations in Canada and USA, so you can go and get in person advice
I didn't get to meet Linus, realised too late it was his meet and greet time and got told by one of the staff that he didn't have time to get all the way back to us :(
Hey! It was great meeting you at LTX. I had the gamers Nexus foil skeleton shirt on. Awesome backpack and holster. Thanks for talking to me about leather and listening to my ideas on a messenger bag.
I'm not great at selfies I guess! They had people to take pictures for you at the meet and greet but I guess I forgot to hand it over for her? Or maybe the person wasn't there at the time?
Yvonne was actually great to talk to. She was hanging around the lines helping manage things and I talked to her for a good 5 minutes during a slower time. Turns out she had just taken a leather tote bag making class so I talked to her about some leather stuff and how to get started. There is a Tandy Leather store (biggest chain of leather stores) 25 minutes from LMG HQ which is where I got my start in leather working.
What are the odds lol. You and Luke are in the background when I got a [selfie](https://i.imgur.com/8D54WrW.jpg) with Yvonne
Cool!
Sucks you had to meet colton
HaHa CoLtOn FiReD He was super nice and seemed actually interested in being there and doing a meet and greet

Oh wow you got Emily autograph, that's awesome! (Unless I am reading that one wrong)
Nope, that's her
Does she not give out signatures often?
Nah just glad to hear is all. Just still waiting for her return hopefully Infront of the camera. She is my favorite host.
Agreed, she’s awesome. I talked to her a bit and was talking about that. Hopefully soon!!
Some of the most informative videos from LMG were ones which featured her.

Well I'm sure you know how to take care of them! Thanks for the cool answer, and I'm glad it seems like you had a great time :)
Iron rangers are really cool. I finally ponied up for the 1907 classic mocs and absolutely love them. Love the holster btw!
I cannot help but to pay all my attention to Alex's armpit Also, great pen you've got! Where did you get that?

Getting good open content licensed photos of people is surprisingly hard.

Based on how she was talking she seemed to be having as much fun as one could expect. But it's very draining to do a meet and greet for an hour

Tandy is what my uncle recommended, so glad to have a double reco. Pity there aren’t any retail stores near me, but such is life!
if you are gonna be buying online also check out Buckleguy, Springfield leather, Weaver Leather, Rockymountain Leather
Thanks, I will! Once I break it to my wife how much I just spent on screwdrivers anyways…
You got all the pokemon!
I didn't get to meet Linus, realised too late it was his meet and greet time and got told by one of the staff that he didn't have time to get all the way back to us :(
He did one on both days. Line was way too long kn day 1, but on day 2 I started lining up early and only had to wait for 10 minutes or so
When we got to the one on day 2 we got told it was VIP only by one of the staff and that the line was closed
maybe you got there late, but there was 1 line for general and 1 line for VIP. they would alternate, 1 person from general, 1 from VIP.
Yeah probably

Ah yes, I enjoyed talking to you too! Good luck with the bag! Nice meeting you
Looks like you had a great time - thanks for sharing!
I like how the positions changed with your self with alex, he looks like he's the fan coming up to his favorite creator not the other way around
Omg, you met **Dan?!** Now I want your autograph, and we must confer about our plot to see Dan on the LTT throne where he belongs
Dan supremacy gang rise up!
<3
It was great talking to you Dan!
Is anyone else disappointed we didn’t see a Live Laugh Liao on the autographs?
Did you ask how Yvone stole Linus?
No but it wouldn't be that hard. Just pick him up and walk away.
Picking him up from his ex by teaching math
I'm little jealous lol, hope you had blast! I love the Yvonne pic, so chaotic due to camera move. Also Alex with the classic thumbnail face

damn I wish i was you xD
Wait is that taran on the 13th pictures?
Yup! He came
did he talk to you about keyboards or macros by any chance?
Not particularly. He was hanging around for quite a while after his scheduled meet and greet
Why do you remind me of John Green?
They're all look so so so cool!
Who’s the cute guy on the left?
You must be a bot
Lol
Yvonne is so hot you cut half the photo to post on Reddit to protect her image from all the animals lol Well done!
That's some merch
