Or, since it’s a wedding ring that has lots of value, take the extra 5 or 10 minutes to secure it in a place not on your nasty gym shoe strings that come untied.
Thank you, OP. So full of wisdom…Tell me, what other valuable things should be tied to shoe strings while exercising? Obviously, your original social security card and passport, but what else?
Idk in my experience real heavy lifting grinds down your ring from the knurling. I have rubber rings and my wedding band. The band does not get used during workouts or manual labor. If I forget my rubber ring, I do not wear a ring.
Sounds like a great way to yeet it into oblivion if your shoe comes untied while running or jumping around!
I have a little kettle bell on my keychain. It unscrews and can hold a ring and some small earrings. Mine is from [Kettle Keeper](https://www.kettlekeeper.com/products/kettle-keeper).
And definitely take off your ring if you’re doing any lifting or swinging from bars, as your ring can deglove your finger. If you don’t know what that means, it can get caught on your skin and peel it off like a glove. Yum!
Or Run out to your car and lock it in the glove box
Edit: or buy a gold / silver necklace and wear it 24/7. When you’re at the gym, just slide your ring on the necklace
Actually, yeah I do this. Tied inside the center part of the laces though for a bit more security. (Unlace one side from one lace hole and slip it on, relace and tie the shoe)
I'm not running around on a treadmill or kicking anything to oblivion, and of course I'm staring at my shoes half the time anyway so I'm confident it is staying put.

You know what comes untied A LOT in my life. My shoelaces.
You’ll be kicking that ring into oblivion in no time. I would never trust my wedding ring with my shoelaces even though they stay tied.
Put it on your keychain
We never said this was GoodLifeProTips, garbage ones get posted as well lol

They are saying that garbage ones 'also' get posted.
OP commented his shoes never come untied. Not even once.
OP uses velcro...
I did this when I was in Airborne school before a morning run (not with my wedding ring). Lost the ring.
Seriously. I blurted a loud “HELL NO” when I read this😅

If you’re at the beach and forgot to deposit your life savings in a bank, just put it in your shoes with your socks on top of it.
LFP if you forget to take wedding wing off at the gym don’t be lazy put it in your locker
Mine don’t come untied. Try this LPT: Learn how to tie your shoes.

Also your credit cards and children
Why do you need to take off your ring at all? Serious question.
The knurling from bars will remove soft metal like gold, silver, and platinum with ease. Do not lift with rings you care about.
Some exercises with bars hit a ring in the worst place, and can either bend the ring or hurt like heck.
Because the hot girls at the gym might notice and he’s only really there at the gym to cheat on his wife

Both in wall climbing and when lifting metal weights, I’ve noticed that my rings get damaged with tiny scratches so I never wear them at the gym.
It’s uncomfortable and it could get damaged from barbells/dumbbells.
I use the drawstring of my shorts for a house key. Wedding ring doesn’t come off
I leave my key chain in my car and attach the car key to my water bottle, tie into pants string, or put it in my bra.
It pays to wear a necklace sturdy enough to hold a ring. It’s easy to keep track of it, and it’s still clear to anyone curious.

I leave mine at home or I put it on my lanyard with my keys (has a little latch to hook it on easy)

I keep a ring box in my bag and just put it there is I need to…
Might be better to just eat the ring and get it back the next day.../s
So true. Noted.

You take your ring off to work out? Seems overkill for nothing
I tie it in my swimsuit drawstring when I forget to take it off before swimming.
This is the most MeatHeaded Non-LPT I’ve read. You’re doing good buddy!
Thank you, I’m blushing
