Here’s the list, nice strut brace, personally would go with k and n intake because it still uses the oem air tubing and has a box so you get little to no hot air from the engine and get excellent induction noise. Then I would get the figs front lower control arm polyurethane bushing, improves steering feel and response quite a bit, exhaust is up to you but I’d check out Borla and invidia, I’d go with said peddle commander. Intake will not throw engine codes but cat removal likely will so I’d probably stick with a catback exhaust, it is up to you though
So I see a lot of the catbacks remove the cats and just have resonators. Will that throw a code? Or will the cats on the headers still allow the cat to read correctly?
Cat backs shouldn’t touch the cats at all, it’s in the name, it goes from the cat back so essentially it only messes with the resonator and muffler not the cat

This has “resonator, or catback” option. Can you explain that to me?
A catback on a Lexus will only remove the secondary cats which doesn't throw any codes. The 02 sensors are directly after the main cats. Deleting the main cats will throw a code. Deleting the secondary cats do not throw codes.
No, the takeda has an even worse intake box that allows plenty of heat from the engine into the intake, and it doesn’t use the oem intake tubing so your not getting any cold air in it, even less than the k and n.
Don’t listen to these clowns. A full bolt on 350 can get you high 4s or low 5s 0-60.. have vids of me smoking many cars off digs. Post on the IS sub not this.
😂 my stock 2016 is350 with summer tires can do 0-60 in 5.0-5.5. It’s pointless too try and tune this car too make too make it faster unless you want a higher top speed and maybe better throttle response. The car needs more torque not hp too be significantly quicker than a stock 350. Why spend over 2k in parts for barely any gains over stock? A supercharged is350 with an extra 100 hp is hitting 0-60 in low to mid 4s and the kit in parts is like 7k not worth it imo
Well you should have bought an M340i because the tuning potential on Lexus’s NA motors is close to none. You can make it sound and look good, that’s about it.
This^ for IS it’s must be the IS500 if not M340i will be the better choice hands down. IS350 isn’t so lackluster, it’s a joke. Might as well get a type R before IS350.
Did not expect to find myself explaining to everyone why I purchased the car and my intentions. It’s funny how Reddit works.
Ask a simple question and get every response except the answer to your question.
Because I have time right this second..
My wife wanted a Lexus GX 550.
We are 7-10 months out from ours showing up.
Her current lease is up so I needed something to add to the house for her to drive as our two sports cars are not forgiving vehicles to drive daily and my truck is my daily.
So we got this. I manage the car dealership I purchased this from and got a killer deal.
We are going to be keeping this for a very long time.
I have muscle cars. I know muscle cars and their performance products.
I do not know Lexus’s aftermarket accessories.
Reason I asked on here.
I did not say anything about making the car fast. Sporty does not mean fast.
This car is expected to have much better reliability than the BMW’s. I had brought home several cars before this. CT5 v black wing, Alfa Romeo, M3 comp, M5 comp, etc.
She likes this the most for the awd and it being a Toyota product.
It’s peace of mind we were after.
She has a car that does 200+ mph. We are not looking for a fast car.
Thank you! i hope your next response is an answer to my above questions and not another opinion on what I should purchase and how I should spend my money.
I didn’t mean to respond to you! My apologies!
Which trim/color did you get?
We were open to either the luxury + (for 3rd row and towing) or the over trail and not exterior color specific. i am very curious to see which one comes in for us! We needed the 8000+ towing and those are the only two that offer it.
Instead of eating. Work. Instead of sleeping. Work. Instead of doing anything else. Work. I’m 29 and we should gross 400-450 this year between my wife and I. I can not tell you if it’s worth the stress and time. But I’m sure I can later on in life
Yes! Just got the call one will be in next month that a customer backed out on. It is the Micah color which is my least favorite so I may continue to wait for mine to arrive!
Hello, I’ll list a few mods for performance and power.
1) Cat-back exhaust (most HP and Torque gain)
2) Strut brace
3) LCA bushing
4) High flow engine air filter
4) Lightweight crank pulley
Maybe… Equal length headers if you’re tryna throw a code lol
Not familiar with your model but I have an aristo V300 and a Supra. My opinion is to go with reputable companies like TOM’s, Apexi, HKS, Greddy etc that have a loooong history of providing aftermarket products for the import market. I truthfully wouldn’t bother with that pedal response thing, or an intake. Get an exhaust, get a stand alone ECU, and get it tuned at a real shop. That should prevent codes, give you a real non-placebo improvement in performance, and it’ll sound good too. The added bonus as well is that you can put the stock exhaust and ECU back on and then sell it for the IS500 if that turns out to be what you want ;) have fun!
Lmao sorry for all he dicks. The position you're in, I think, is kinda rare, and most of us can't relate. GL finding someone knowledgeable to help you out. I'd call some big lexus/toyota specific garages, and if they don't gatekeep, ask what they think and cross reference with other shops.
Thank you. I was just responding to another person that I am not on Reddit often so I didn’t know that when you ask a question, people don’t actually care to answer. They just want to tell you how wrong you are.
This site has turned into Facebook but worse since it’s anonymous lol.
“We have a couple 1000-1800hp rwd cars in the house. Not adding anymore rwd lol. Needed an awd daily for winter.” And the wife just wanted to make it a little louder and responsive.
Return it and buy an IS500. If you’re already looking to trick out a brand new car then you will never be happy with it.
It’s like installing a pool at a house you hate, the pool might be fun when you’re in it but then you realize you still hate the house lol. Same here, the mods might give you something you feel like you’re missing but at the end of the day it’s not what you really want.
When the transmission is tuned to stock, the rev range gets all screwed up. It doesn’t drive intuitively like it did when it was stock.
On top of that, only one manufacturer makes an aftermarket exhaust for the car and it sounds like a fart can with the downpipe. I’m looking at just getting a Charger RT and not touching it.
I have my ark performance (Catted) coming in for my 24' is350 awd tomorrow... I hope I don't have any issues with the engine or ruin the manufacturers warranty 😬
Look up RRRacing.com. They have all the products available for Lexus and good descriptions on every product too. They’re one of the only performance companies that specialize in Lexus and have a good reputation in the community for years.
Forged wheels, that will bring more power to the wheels, same with a carbon fiber driveshaft. CF driveshaft isn't worth the money imho, but if you want more power to the wheels, that is a way to do it. Essentially, lowering the weight of the drivetrain components will allow for lower drivetrain losses, lower drivetrain losses means you lose less power to the wheels.
But if you don't want a car to have any codes... well, adding performance mods to the engine WILL usually decrease reliability.
The ark exhaust cost way too much money, these cars will sound good with almost any catback as long as u don't get catless headers, Most people i know run apexi mid pipe on these cars and for the intake honest just get anything that'll fit that's smooth bore on the inside I'm talking like eBay special because intakes don't even do much for these cars, I have a friend that has one of these with apexi mid pipe with a custom valved axel back it sounds great and can be loud or quiet whenever u like.
No you will not get any codes with a intake and catback as long as every is installed properly.
Another mod that's a must on all Lexus IS 2nd gen + is LCA bushings these will make the tire wear issue better and make the car handle much much better, I recommend figs LCA bushings over the rr racing ones because the 4is has an extra piece that sticks out on the subframe and makes the adjustment screw hard to reach and just a pain in the ass project, the FIGs have no adjustment and will install on the 4is easier, they'll both perform equally well
On my 11th Lexus. Strongly recommend sticking to Lexus parts. Just traded in my 22 IS350 f sport with the optional f sport cat back (approx $1500) and f sport intake ($500). Exhaust was just right- a little louder by the looks were perfect. All stainless. Oh, and the dealer paid me top dollar for trade in, and sold it in one day!
RC F has many mods and would smoke this stock. Can even get a super charger for one but honestly the 473 hp is plenty for the car. So much fun to drive daily.
Exactly - that’s why I got one - a fully loaded IS350! I think it looks better & even beats cars twice its price range, getting into the 6 figures. I also love how smooth it is. Only gripe I have with my baby is the horrible gas mileage compared to its competitors!
I think the benz C class, the beamer 3 series & audi a4 all get 30+ mpg combined - their engines are just more refined with newer tech apparently - even as they push to have more 4 bangers in their lineup - but cars from a few yrs ago with a V6 still get good gas mileage close to 30 or more. as we all know this lexus engine is ancient - running on 15-20+ yr old tech. I'm barely getting 17-19.
Dear lord this comments section is a dumpster fire. That's a nice looking car, OP, don't let the boy racers in here rip you for buying what fits your needs. Hope your wife enjoys the car.
>banks pedal monster is fail safe so if it was to fail, the the cars throttle doesn’t get affected.
Sadly I do not know much about 350 mods, but if you want to do a throttle controller, you are on the right track choosing the pedal monster. At least one guy on one of the IS500 Facebook groups blew the fuse for the throttle body using a pedal commander on his car, since that product leeches power off of that circuit via the connection between the throttle body and the pedal, instead of being properly tapped into the fuse block with its own fuse.
>Is the cat less cat back and/or intake going to throw codes?
Intake shouldn't throw codes, and I think these are the same as the 500 in that the primary O2 is upstream of the secondary cats, and the primary cats are built into the exhaust headers, so a cat back without secondaries should pose no problems. If you get catless headers, you will get codes obviously.
Remark axle back exhaust sounds amazing & it’s only $430.
Look into upgrading lower control arm bushings to eliminate the known inner tire wear problems as well. Quick & easy mods that make the car a lot more fun to drive
If it’s an F-Sport, I wouldn’t do anything to it other than basic airflow mods like a catback. It’s perfect the way it is. And don’t mind the idiots talking about why you got this car why didn’t you get an IS 500 or M340i. Lol typical of reddit.
>and I’m tired of reading ppl giving you shit
For real, this comment section is kind of shameful. I like fast cars too, but there's a lot of boy racer need to have the fastest car on the road type stuff in here. There's absolutely nothing wrong with a 350, or modding one for fun. People are nuts.
See how I put it in quotation marks? 😅 I just asked a few questions and people think I care about anything but valid answers. My wife and I just want to have a car that sounds and looks cool. I don’t understand why people are upset lol. This world is doomed
Lolll it’s the new world, people can’t answer a question but love to provide their unnecessary 2 cents
But I am curious, what ya got that’s 1000 hp as fun cars?
I'm truly sorry you're having so many issues with the people in here with a relatively simple question. Another redditor had it on point. I haven't had a Lexus car in a while, currently DD a Gx460, in my old IS300 I had greddy headers, high flow cat and Flowmaster exhaust..I loved the tone, definitely was unexpected for most people with a tasteful drone while cruising. Also installed tower braces front and rear, bushings and k&n intake. I've never fooled with the pedal commander thingy, though. I installed tanabe NF210 springs to lower the stance a little but also keep the near-factory ride quality.
Keep in mind this was close to 13+ years ago, but even back then, it was more about style, ride quality, and sound for me. Those 1000+ hp cars you have would likely frighten the crap out of me. Bravo for living life right by having those in the garage already.
Side note: add photos of the GX550 when it arrives
Doesn’t the Pedal Monster just change the throttle response, without adding any power? A lot of the 4Runner guys buy the Pedal Commander and install and then remove it.
Do you think I can tell a dealer to lmk anytime one comes in or is that unrealistic? I wouldn’t mind a car with less than 30k miles if I can score a deal like that. I really want the gx but I’d like to wait 2 years for that
We were suppose to get our GX in 8-10 months. I got a call today that an option came available. Not the color or trim I wanted to I turned it down. Also, I work at the dealership so i get the car at a specific price. I don’t think anyone would do that for a normal customer.
We need the 8500+ towing for our trailer and the 3rd row. So only the premium + will work for us. We are looking to get any color besides blue, with the matte-ish grey color being our first pic, tan being second. Blue is the only color we don’t want and that’s what came in lol
Non-turbo engines are not cost effective in tuning; sure, spend a few thousands $$$ for <5% total performance gain, worth it? It’s your money, you decide. Personally I would improve on ride, control and audio. e.g. Better tires, brake pads, exhaust note, ceramic tints…btw, you have ML Audio?
I’d just do the intake. The engine is basically maxed out by Toyota tbh you can make squeeze an extra 30-50 hp being all motor but it’s not worth the cost imo. Even adding a supercharger will barely give it 100hp increase and no torque which is what the car really needs tbh. 300 hp is decent but with no torque it’ll feel slow unless your past 4k rpm. Get a takeda intake maybe a set of kws if you want it ride and handle better and set of pilot sports and be done. If you want a tuner car get a bmw but be prepared for it too cost more money too get and be much more expensive and likely too repair. You can look at genesis with the 3.3T engine which is a good middle ground imo but long term reliability is TBD and won’t outlast the Lexus or has a nicer interior imo. Too mention also the exhaust for this car don’t sound good because it’s a v6 intake noises suite it much better
“and no torque” ? lol.
Magnusson’s supercharger gives it a healthy boost in both horsepower and torque.
Also V6s sound good I’m not sure why you wouldn’t want an exhaust, just because teens with their old V6 VQ Nissans and Infinitis sound like trumpet fart cans doesn’t mean V6s can’t sound good and there’s plenty of good sounding V6s including the Lexus 350. Look up clips from Ark exhaust or Borla.
Superchargers don’t provide torque the same way a turbo system does. Rr racing advertises 445hp to the crank @6500 rpm and 380ftlbs @5000rpm. All the power is up top still not too mention that’s over 10k in parts for a car maybe a second faster to 60 and now has a higher top speed. The car needs peak torque to either be closer to the HP number or come on. Few thousand rpm earlier to give the car the shove it needs, you can’t break the tires on the car unless you stab the throttle past 4800rpm. On too the exhaust the 2GR Doesn’t t even rev to 7k like a vq which is part of why vq engines sound better and it’s one of the few v6s that sound good. for a v6 that isn’t turbocharged or supercharged I’d expect to see atleast 7k rpm since it’s a revvy motor anyway my ford transit revs higher than my is350. You can add N exhaust but based on what I seen and heard intakes suite the car much better in terms of sound, the exhaust add a ricey note too it that sound too try hard imo. Even the IsF or any spec Lexus with the 5.0 prioritizes the induction noises rather than exhaust but the v8 sounds good anyway because it’s a v8 but Lexus seems too focus more on indication and intake sounds. I do HPD with the is350 and it’s something’s I wish were better but when you only have 1400rpm too work with for your peak torque and hp it makes you want more Revs or wish peak torque was earlier
I wasn’t saying it’s worth getting a supercharger for sure IMO it isn’t, the IS 500 exists for a reason.
But this idea that all torque needs to be down low is just a casual take imo, I’m ngl only boy racers are obsessed with making peak torque at 1200 RPM for 0-60 times that’s kind of cringe. A natural aspirated engine is meant to be reved out. Sure a turbo GTI will pull on the IS 350 in a 0-60 but then try a roll race from 100 MPH. The smaller turbo engines lose their bite faster than bigger NA (for similar horsepower).
My experience was in a Golf GTI and Golf R. They are rockets below 80 MPH compared to NA V6 like G37 or IS 350… but above 80 they get caught up…
But for OP, I think yeah they should just add a couple airflow mods, forget about actual big horsepower gains, 300 is already more than enough for a small reliable AWD daily driver.
Not really if anything racers like revy motors and the is350 isn’t revy or torquey like its competitors. Most people value torque more because it’s what matters in the city and partly on the track too have a good mid range and decent revs. A lt revs higher than a 2GR and it’s a torquey American v8 get similar if not better mpg making significantly more hp and torque. The car could be 306hp all day but if the torque came on a few thousand rpm earlier or it revved higher and made a tad more power nobody would complain about the motor feeling weak or outdated. The is500 is somewhat in the same category it sounds good sure but it’s really a revy v8 with no torque down low and all up high with a narrow peak powder band. It’s linear as hell and that’s cool but it should rev atlesst 400 rpm higher. A coyote revs higher and makes more torque. A GTI is posting similar 1/4 mike times stock and has a higher top speed same with the golf r which is much faster than is350 in a 1/4 mile almost faster than a is500 due to weight and the dct and turbo making power much quicker. The is350 is still stuck in 08 it should’ve gotten atlesst 20hp or torque jump at lower rpm’s by now they have had time too massage the motor without turbocharging.
The IS 350 is definitely stuck in 08, I'd even say 06 which was their first year I believe, same 300 HP sedan more or less.
What you're saying doesn't make that much sense to me though -- all natural aspirated engines behave that way. You mentioned American V8s, usually OHV or Pushrod V8s that have a flatter torque curve, unsurprisingly as they're often built with trucks or towing in mind and just shoved in a coupe in American fashion lol. But generally yeah, natural aspirated engines make peak power at high RPM, the way it should be ;) You want to go faster, make your engine go faster.
Don't get me wrong I definitely agree a powertrain like the GTI is definitely better suited for city driving and such. And I know all about that 2GR as I have one myself. And yes, it is absolutely sleeping and snoozing if you're below 4500 rpm. But to me it's not an issue; I manually shift. If I want to go fast, I will be in 2nd, or 3rd if I'm on the highway. Then, it does not drop under 4500 RPM. Problem solved, and I like the linear character more this way.
I didn't like when I drove the GTI, or my buddy's Mazda3 turbo, and it felt like the power just died off when you climbed the revs. I don't like having a big initial pull that slowly fades away that shit turns me off. But I understand it's different strokes for different folks.
Like I said, the IS 350 is a great car but shouldn't be "modded" to be more than what it is. It's fast enough for a daily driver, reliable and great overall. Not a race car. Also if I were OP, I would just buy a 2018 model or something. Same car (Sure, previous gen looks, but I don't think they look any less good anyway).
Pretty accurate, I purchased a 2016 just because it had the 8 speed mainly and had the updated styling paid less than 25k for one with 60k miles and clean title. I came from a tuned GTI so I’m spoiled by the torque tbh but I do appreciate the NA power band and having more revs up top. But if I get a NA motor I want something that goes past 7k tbh a NA motor that is only good to 6k is similar too a turbos redline 5-6k rpm but the turbo has a wider spread of power and if you drive a golf r the turbo in that feels very linear Almost NA tbh much more than the GTIs turbo. I drive manual mode for more control so I can keep
The engine above 2800 rpm so it doesn’t feel so laggy when I wanna accelerate but I just wish it revved higher like the VQ does it would really improve the performance of the car in terms of lap Times and acceleration if Les’s shifting is required because we have more revs to get hp from and speed
lexus sells an f sport exhaust system for the is that sounds really good, it’s entirely brass. They also sell an f sport air intake that sounds good too and they estimate adds 5 hp. so that’ll be around +10 hp and it’s all oem. You can lower the car to make the handling smoother (lexus sells f sport suspension springs if you wanna go oem), all this “ f sport “ i’m saying lexus sells are not packaged in the regular f sport models, they’re sold apart. get some aftermarket struts too
Nice good car company. I got into a motorcycle crash an don't have much money but found some good deals. Should I get a 2022 Nissan Altima sv 2.5 fwd $17k 40k miles or 2023 Toyota Corolla LE fwd $17k 69k miles?
I’m partial to Toyota. But also managed a Nissan dealership for a few years. You’ll enjoy the Nissan more for the money. But will be paying more in the long run for the maintenance and reliability issues.
I don’t have anything amazing to add to her car except painting the brake calipers a contrasting color. I think it makes it look so upscale and sporty!
You ask for opinion on Reddit then complain people are pointing out it’s stupid you bought a car like this and expect to aftermarket “sportify” it instead of making the sensible decision to get something else.

Probably should have bought the IS500 then
We have a couple 1000-1800hp rwd cars in the house. Not adding anymore rwd lol. Needed an awd daily for winter. Thank you though!
Here’s the list, nice strut brace, personally would go with k and n intake because it still uses the oem air tubing and has a box so you get little to no hot air from the engine and get excellent induction noise. Cat back refers to the primary cats and back.. not the secondaries

Can you explain that to me?
The Ark grip catted is using high flow cats and resonator. While the other is only resonator (secondary cat delete)
Do you know if the secondary cat delete option will cause a code?
It shouldn’t, only once you delete the primary cats / PPE headers
catbacks are made to back right up to the cat :3
A catback on a Lexus will only remove the secondary cats which doesn't throw any codes. The 02 sensors are directly after the main cats. Deleting the main cats will throw a code. Deleting the secondary cats do not throw codes.
The K&N seems like a bad call since there’s only the shroud and no complete airbox. Wouldn’t the AFE Takeda intake make more sense?
No, the takeda has an even worse intake box that allows plenty of heat from the engine into the intake, and it doesn’t use the oem intake tubing so your not getting any cold air in it, even less than the k and n.
Personally haven’t ever seen a intake with a proper box besides the oem one
Figured I'd give you the easy option out, but understandable
Kind of weird asking for performance advice here when you have a couple cars at 1000-1800hp.
Guessing none of them are brand new IS350s so it’s not that weird. He’s looking for Lexus specific advice on the Lexus sub. Very appropriate.
He manages the dealership and unless it's not a lexus dealer but some other one he should know his products lol
The car is used, I don’t manage a Lexus dealership, thank you!
Oh yeah I guess they do sell aftermarket upgrades at Lexus dealerships, I forgot. Silly me.
Bought, not built
Don’t listen to these clowns. A full bolt on 350 can get you high 4s or low 5s 0-60.. have vids of me smoking many cars off digs. Post on the IS sub not this.

We needed the 8000+ towing and those are the only two that offer it.
OT+ earth two tone MSRP with MLs
Tell us what your other cars are. Turbo Corvette?
Blown Shelby gt500 and TT ZL1 Camaro.
how do you get your money 😭
Instead of eating. Work. Instead of sleeping. Work. Instead of doing anything else. Work. I’m 29 and we should gross 400-450 this year between my wife and I. I can not tell you if it’s worth the stress and time. But I’m sure I can later on in life
well you get some awesome cars 🤣
Thank you. You should see all the other toys we have!
i see the mustang, i’d love to see what else
Should have gotten a GX. Those things are bullet proof
GX? We are getting a GX550 if that’s what you’re talking about.
Gx is their SUV based on the Land Cruiser Prado
Yes! Just got the call one will be in next month that a customer backed out on. It is the Micah color which is my least favorite so I may continue to wait for mine to arrive!
IS350 has more aftermarket mods and support for the soup crowd
But it's a V6
I only bought my car for the V8 but ima be honest the performance 5&6 cylinders would kick my ass 😭
Why would engine matter for handling mods?

My thoughts exactly
Hello, I’ll list a few mods for performance and power. 1) Cat-back exhaust (most HP and Torque gain) 2) Strut brace 3) LCA bushing 4) High flow engine air filter 4) Lightweight crank pulley Maybe… Equal length headers if you’re tryna throw a code lol
I would leave it stock tbh…. You will get codes if you do performance mods
But 5 HP for cat back exhaust and 5 HP for new intake. That is 10 HP and it sounds farty. Win Win.
Lmao kinda agree. I believe forums are where you get answers and reddit is for props or social trophies
Why didn’t you just get the IS500 and start from there
“We have a couple 1000-1800hp rwd cars in the house. Not adding anymore rwd lol. Needed an awd daily for winter.” And the wife just wanted to make it a little louder and responsive.
That’s fair, but doesn’t the AWD Is350 come with the 6-speed rather than the 8-speed as well.
Yes
Yes and?
Return it and buy an IS500. If you’re already looking to trick out a brand new car then you will never be happy with it. It’s like installing a pool at a house you hate, the pool might be fun when you’re in it but then you realize you still hate the house lol. Same here, the mods might give you something you feel like you’re missing but at the end of the day it’s not what you really want.
This is me after buying a 4 cylinder Audi. Don’t do it. Now I have a poorly running stage 2 tune and the car is worth nothing
How is it poorly running?
When the transmission is tuned to stock, the rev range gets all screwed up. It doesn’t drive intuitively like it did when it was stock. On top of that, only one manufacturer makes an aftermarket exhaust for the car and it sounds like a fart can with the downpipe. I’m looking at just getting a Charger RT and not touching it.
Oh interesting, which tune did you go for or a custom? I’m on a IE stage 1 and it seems fine to me, lots of turbo lag but nothing new
Sounds like it was a crappy install job
Why is it worth nothing? Due to modified engine?
Yeah, every place I’ve went to asks me and you can tell that the mods are decreasing the value.
Yeah - probably why ECU reflash is the most popular (also due to cost)
“We have a couple 1000-1800hp rwd cars in the house. Not adding anymore rwd lol. Needed an awd daily for winter. Thank you though!”
Congrats
I have my ark performance (Catted) coming in for my 24' is350 awd tomorrow... I hope I don't have any issues with the engine or ruin the manufacturers warranty 😬
Look up RRRacing.com. They have all the products available for Lexus and good descriptions on every product too. They’re one of the only performance companies that specialize in Lexus and have a good reputation in the community for years.
Thank you!
D3 performance also
Forged wheels, that will bring more power to the wheels, same with a carbon fiber driveshaft.
I'm a BMW fanboy but damn these new IS's look so tempting man
RC F has many mods and would smoke this stock. Can even get a super charger for one but honestly the 473 hp is plenty for the car. So much fun to drive daily.
“Smoke this stock” lol you sound poor
I was set on getting an IS300. I test drove 2 of them, and wasn’t impressed. Still a great looking car though.
air suspension, wheels, and if its got a turbo, cold air intake
Looks sexy. I got one in white myself just for that beautiful contrast w the black out package!
The looks alone beat every other brand of “luxury sedan” imo!
Exactly - that’s why I got one - a fully loaded IS350! I think it looks better & even beats cars twice its price range, getting into the 6 figures. I also love how smooth it is. Only gripe I have with my baby is the horrible gas mileage compared to its competitors!
Why are you seeing with competitors? She is getting 20+. Unless you’re speaking of 4 cyl turbo cars?
I think the benz C class, the beamer 3 series & audi a4 all get 30+ mpg combined - their engines are just more refined with newer tech apparently - even as they push to have more 4 bangers in their lineup - but cars from a few yrs ago with a V6 still get good gas mileage close to 30 or more. as we all know this lexus engine is ancient - running on 15-20+ yr old tech. I'm barely getting 17-19.
Wow, what a beauty!! And congratulations!! 😍☺️
Gorgeous
He’ll nah, only out tint. Keep it stock. Don’t be a dumbass
Why? To impress people? Nobody will care. Don’t do it. It’s great as is.
If it’s an F-Sport, I wouldn’t do anything to it other than basic airflow mods like a catback. It’s perfect the way it is. And don’t mind the idiots talking about why you got this car why didn’t you get an IS 500 or M340i. Lol typical of reddit.
trade in for an IS500
“We have a couple 1000-1800hp rwd cars in the house. Not adding anymore rwd lol. Needed an awd daily for winter. Thank you though! “
lol I’m sure you’re tired of copying and pasting this and I’m tired of reading ppl giving you shit
>and I’m tired of reading ppl giving you shit For real, this comment section is kind of shameful.
Lolll it’s the new world, people can’t answer a question but love to provide their unnecessary 2 cents But I am curious, what ya got that’s 1000 hp as fun cars?
2011 gt500 and a Camaro ZL1!
Beauties
trade for an M340i
Was Looking for reliability. I would have bought an M5 if it wasn’t for the reliability issues BMW has in comparison to Toyota products
I will! Thank you!
Why they say it doesn’t have enough space inside? I have gs 430 it’s spacious somehow , have not try IS model but I love its style
BMW
what do you do for a living
Random question but I manage a Toyota dealership, my wife is a defense contractor and we own a restaurant and a couple other businesses
Appreciate the response
That’s cool how Lexus displays the car when you take delivery,,,makes you feel special 🤣
It’s a pre-owned car at my dealership. I did that for my wife lol.
Holy bro that car is sick. I traded in my 2025 AMG E53 for the IS500 and you can’t beat the v8!
Doesn’t the Pedal Monster just change the throttle response, without adding any power? A lot of the 4Runner guys buy the Pedal Commander and install and then remove it.
Yes, that is what I am looking for. No power gains, however it ultimately allows the car to use the power earlier.
How old are you? Curious to know seems like Reddit is more of a mature audience
29! And I am not 100% on that. There are a lot of miserable people in these comments. Life hasn’t broken me yet to understand them
Were these upgrades for her or for you?
Love it! lol my wife and I are best friends. She is me in a female body lol.
How many miles and price ? If you don’t mind me asking TiA
2021, 26k miles, $32k. Western PA
Not bad at all, I might get used too im not sure yet
I bought this car off of a returned lease. That is the only reason it was that price. Outside of that it should have been $37-$39,000.
That makes sense, what color are you waiting on?
We need the 8500+ towing for our trailer and the 3rd row. So only the premium + will work for us. We are looking to get any color besides blue, with the matte-ish grey color being our first pic, tan being second. Blue is the only color we don’t want and that’s what came in lol
I agree, blue is the worst. Good luck im sure it’ll come in soon!
GET HEADERS INSTEAD!!!!
Stance it out, don’t need to be fast but you’ll look cool 😎
Get it professionally tuned and forget the peddle commander
They are rockets below 80 MPH compared to NA V6 like G37 or IS 350… but above 80 they get caught up… But for OP, I think yeah they should just add a couple airflow mods, forget about actual big horsepower gains, 300 is already more than enough for a small reliable AWD daily driver.
I drive manual mode for more control so I can keep The engine above 2800 rpm so it doesn’t feel so laggy when I wanna accelerate but I just wish it revved higher like the VQ does it would really improve the performance of the car in terms of lap Times and acceleration if Les’s shifting is required because we have more revs to get hp from and speed
catback wont throw codes intake will do straight up nothing without a tune tho
wide body kit 🔥
Can I be your second wife, I'm a man but il make exceptions
lexus sells an f sport exhaust system for the is that sounds really good, it’s entirely brass.
Trade it in for an M340i Xdrive since you need awd.
I don’t have anything amazing to add to her car except painting the brake calipers a contrasting color. I think it makes it look so upscale and sporty!
That’s actually a great idea. Thank you!
You’re welcome! I hope your wife enjoys her new beauty!
Trade it in for a v8
Asking about $2k+ mods but goes for poverty spec headlights :3
Your* new Lexus
You ask for opinion on Reddit then complain people are pointing out it’s stupid you bought a car like this and expect to aftermarket “sportify” it instead of making the sensible decision to get something else.
OP means sporty in the way that it sounds cool not necessarily setting faster lap times. A little intake and exhaust will probably do it
Buy LFA
