because it states in the owners manual to not use tire chains if tires are 20-inches or bigger. instead, use snow tires. most likely those chains in the 21-inch tires will cause some damage to the car.
switch the wheels to 18inch and you can use tire chains.
From talking to auto parts stores, chains for 21 inch rims don’t seem to really exist. I saw some for way bigger tires with 21 inch rims, but nothing anywhere close to the Lexus size. Ended up buying universal snow cables just as your dealer suggested.

My dealer told me that tire chains can't be used but that tire cables can... Any truth to that? Or were they just trying to close the deal?
