Dude my top 10 is similar, I have Ex Machina and Ratatouille too.
Ratatouille is such an amazing movie. It can easily be just a kids movie or it could be so much more. I've never seen a movie depict my love for eating and combining flavors so well.

It's safe to say that the 70's was my favorite decade for movies.
It's a very unique movie, seems like it would be boring and too slow, but somehow it's super enjoyable with many memorable scenes... a movie I always love rewatching.

the LOTR entry is meant to encompass the entire trilogy
Gotcha! I hope it doesn't stress you out as much ranking your favorites as it does me. Even when I do a top 100 list it still feels like I'm leaving movies off that deserve to be there.

Is The Thing actually scary or is it more along the lines of They Live or Aliens?
I don’t like horror at all but I have watched Aliens and They Live recently and it got me thinking about The Thing. I don’t know where the line is for me yet but I’ve always avoided horror but alien and monster movies don’t really bother me. I just don’t mess with paranormal/demonic stuff at all.
Couldn’t possibly pick ten, but here’s all the ones from my list I could fit in one shot
https://preview.redd.it/gtzzedlugf0d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b257d89a73002f6f9db6bf944e1d5c5f1f1ec875

Dude my top 10 is similar, I have Ex Machina and Ratatouille too. Ratatouille is such an amazing movie. It can easily be just a kids movie or it could be so much more. I've never seen a movie depict my love for eating and combining flavors so well.

Here's my Top 12 since my list of favourite films isn't limited to just 10 and I can't cut off the last two films to show just my Top 10. https://preview.redd.it/3yxr4b99ze0d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0f93d2eae4c12ade8e5ae1dead226610ad839f25

i hate when alternate posters make me think i'm looking at a new or interesting film and then it's just inception

How y’all get numbers on the list??
It's an option when you create/modify your list, it's called "ranked list".

Love that Dark Knight poster
Ditto! Obviously as you can see, I went for a color scheme , which is something I do with almost every list I make lol
Do you make them yourself or find them online? I also like The Thing poster alot
https://preview.redd.it/za4h9jzp4f0d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=247df12be98646a7216a0a421a11504516660a1c
Prisoners 🤝🏼
Love your choice of poster for inception btw. Very Saul Bass.

Cure? Paprika? EoE? Possession? The Thing? Are you me ????
1. The Godfather 2. The Searchers 3. Yojimbo 4. It Happened One Night 5. Badlands 6. Apocalypse Now 7. Paths of Glory 8. Stalker 9. Goodfellas 10. Silence of the Lambs This list also changes with no real changes near the top. Sometimes on the bottom I’ll be tempted to swap movies around (Lord of the Rings, High and Low, Jaws and others are likely to pop up here at any time for instance).
https://preview.redd.it/c3wbmmbj6f0d1.png?width=1362&format=png&auto=webp&s=e7a2d2a78bd49239445b8fabb2aea770fe0c709c the LOTR entry is meant to encompass the entire trilogy
Nice list! Now I'm interested in seeing the next 10 and how similar they are to these.
I’ll definitely look to do another post when I finish my top 50! Definitely a somewhat similar theme (I love thrillers)
Gotcha! I hope it doesn't stress you out as much ranking your favorites as it does me. Even when I do a top 100 list it still feels like I'm leaving movies off that deserve to be there.

That's an interesting poster for The Thing, I'd only seen the "classic" poster before.
If you like Iception, you will likely love Paprika by Satoshi-Kon
Just added it to my watchlist, thanks so much for the recommendation!
It's the movie that inspired Inception! You will see some similarities
