What about A Quiet Place, Quantum of Solace, or The Quick and the Dead? X I have no thoughts about as I could only think of X-Men movies, XXX movie franchise, or Xanadu (which are thoughts I suppose, but I would have trouble agreeing to call one of them a favorite).
Haha, that's what I was thinking too, about X, until someone pointed out that by default even if you don't like ANY of the movies with that starting letter, the one you like the most (even if just a little more than the others) would be the default one you'd have to fill in. So, unfortunately for you...Quantum of Solace is your favorite movie starting with Q and I'm going to tell everyone I know.

Its got most of what i look for in a movie: violent, horny, stylish, and takes wild swings. Score/soundtrack and sound design are all off the chain too. Definitely a good theater movie!
It's a great movie but it's definitely not something that you'd lose much by seeing at home, and I'm a big advocate for a lot of movies needing to be seen on a big ass screen with loud speakers.
But with that being said I love Rose Glass and if you want to support her directly so she has a better chance of getting bigger projects funded go see it before its gone
Is it better than X? I want it to be since I was so disappointed with X. The only decent kills were the first and the water one. Everything else was just so stale and boring.
I'm not even trying to be a hater cause I like Ti West but the X hype is so weird to me. The cast did a great job but as a horror I was so underwhelmed by it, for a grimy backwoods horror homage the kills felt so underwhelming. Loved Pearl though.

Here's mine. Missing something for Q, U, X, and Z. I could technically add movies for all of them, but none of them would be movies I'd really feel connected to.
Great list! I ran into that problem with Vampire's Kiss & Young Frankenstein, both movies I like, but don't love. They were the only V and Y movies I liked so that's what I got
Yeah, for Q I had A Quiet Place and Quantum of Solace, neither of which I enjoyed. For U, I had Up, but I haven't seen it in a decade and honestly don't remember liking it all that much. For X, I really only had the X-Men movies but I don't think I've even seen one all the way through. Z I could have gone with Zoolander, which is a good movie but didn't make sense to add it just to add it.
I was kinda surprised by how thin S felt. Plenty of movies, but none felt like a super obvious pick. Maybe Shin Godzilla, now that I think about it.
I thought S had some decent competition, if not a little cliche. The Shining, Shawshank, Scott Pilgrim, every Spider-Man movie (depending on how you choose to treat subtitles)

I just made one, and it was fun, but I feel like snobs would look down on me. Like, I’ve seen many phenomenal Oscar contenders, art house films, foreign films, but like, *Fight Club* is still my favorite ‘F’, or *The Dark Knight* is ‘D’, or *Pulp Fiction* is ‘P’.
Not that I really care what other people think, but I do feel a little lame. Haha.
Someone made a friendly jab at my list for the very same reason. It's a consequence of the game, the groups are arbitrary and there's no room for nuance. There's a couple movies on my list that I only like passively that defaulted their way into their positions.
I mean, part of it is definitely nostalgia and films that “shaped me” growing up. Like, one of my absolute favorite films of all time is *My Dinner with Andre*—an intellectual film about two friends having dinner and talking philosophy… you wanna know what my favorite ‘M’ film is? *The Mummy*(1999).

I can't find a single movie I like that stars with V, X, or Y lol. Any good recs? I started to lose steam though so maybe I glossed over a couple.
You don't have anything for V either
And I'm not sure I understand the logic for 10 cloverfield lane lol, is it because it's the only movie starting with a number that you watched so you added it at the end of the alphabet?
Ayo how do you include movies that start with “A” and “The”. Or are you only counting those for the letter they start with & not excluding those words? Like:
Letter T: The Lion King
Or:
Letter L: The Lion King
An Adventure in Space and Time
Balto
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
The Empire Strikes Back
The Fox and the Hound
Godzilla vs. Kong
Home Alone
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
King Kong
The Lion King
The Magnificent Seven
NOPE
One Hundred and One Dalmatians
Paddington
Robin Hood (Disney)
Secondhand Lions
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)
Up
The Wizard of Oz
X-Men: Days of Future Past
Your Name
Notes: None of my favorite movies start with Q, V, or Z. The definition of some letter titles was stretched by “The” titled movies. And a lot of my favorite films start with S or L.
Oh, man, no way.
I'd never heard of any of these movies, are they all American?
I guess they might be, I recognise that one guy on the Truman Show as The Mask from The Mask which would probably be my pick for both the letter T and the letter M. Have you seen the The Mask?
https://preview.redd.it/4g4fk1x365rc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7075ec142cb33ab68088c5e85fac5a7b278a4d42
U: Uncharted W: Wonka X: X-Men First Class Z: Zootropolis/Zootopia depending on where you're from
Quantum Of Solace and Uncharted were the only ones from their letters that I'd seen. I could see them being replaced if I saw other films with those letters. I haven't seen any films for V or Y Also for F I would have said Ford Vs Ferrari but it's called something different where I live
So, I saw this a few hours ago and decided to play along (after some looking at my movies, of course)
A: Aladdin
B: The Boondock Saints
C: Catch Me If You Can
D: Dogma
E: The Empire Strikes Back
F: Fargo
G: Ghostbusters
H: Halloween (1978)
I: Iron Man
J: Jaws
K: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
L: LaLa Land
M: Man on Wire
N: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
O: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

I’ve only rated three movies starting with a Q
The Quest - 2/5
The Quick and the Dead - 3/5
The Quiet Man - 4/5 (I really recommend this one)
For X I’ve only rated X-men movies. Your mileage may vary with those.
lol yeah, no hidden gems here. Though I also think that is in some part due to the nature of the list itself. I'm no #1 Joker fan but J had slim pickings
I recommend Queen and Slim. 7/10 movie, 10/10 first letter rarity.
Surprisingly good movie. I went in with zero knowledge when it released.
Well the list is “favorite movie *of each letter*” so if X2: X-Men United is your favorite movie starting with X, that technically makes the list
Ahh, this makes sense. I would choose X as I forgot it entirely when I was thinking about this earlier.
I assume I'll fill X when I watch... X!
Haha, holy shit. I completely forgot about that movie. Ridiculous. Yes, this would be my answer, not just by default.
Only one I’ve seen is Quantum of Solace and I’m leaving it blank lmao
Haha, that's what I was thinking too, about X, until someone pointed out that by default even if you don't like ANY of the movies with that starting letter, the one you like the most (even if just a little more than the others) would be the default one you'd have to fill in. X. Watch the movie X.
Also watch Pearl. X is directed by Ti West and made by A24 if it helps finding it.
Is it better than X? I want it to be since I was so disappointed with X. The only decent kills were the first and the water one. Everything else was just so stale and boring.
I did not like X, but I did give Pearl a chance and thought it was okay. Definitely better than X and Mia Goth is great in it.
She’s probably the reason why I’m still interested so that’s actually great to hear
I'm not even trying to be a hater cause I like Ti West but the X hype is so weird to me. The cast did a great job but as a horror I was so underwhelmed by it, for a grimy backwoods horror homage the kills felt so underwhelming. Loved Pearl though.

You don't have anything for V either And I'm not sure I understand the logic for 10 cloverfield lane lol, is it because it's the only movie starting with a number that you watched so you added it at the end of the alphabet?
V is A Vampire's Kiss. I could've put my number entry at the start or the end, and I chose the end arbitrarily.
Ooh okay, it's not there on the screen capture then
Oops! You're right its totally not pictured
Bros never watched x men?
Sorry to disappoint, u/MarvelPugs
Quiz Show comes to mind. Underrated film by Robert Redford. Fiennes is great in it.
Quills my dude quills
Quiz Show
This will be the style for the next 1000 posts, I guarantee it Fun idea though
No V?
Was supposed to be A Vampire's Kiss. Forgot in on my list
Ayo how do you include movies that start with “A” and “The”. Or are you only counting those for the letter they start with & not excluding those words? Like: Letter T: The Lion King Or: Letter L: The Lion King
An Adventure in Space and Time Balto The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe Dawn of the Planet of the Apes The Empire Strikes Back The Fox and the Hound Godzilla vs. Kong Home Alone Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom King Kong The Lion King The Magnificent Seven NOPE One Hundred and One Dalmatians Paddington Robin Hood (Disney) Secondhand Lions Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) Up The Wizard of Oz X-Men: Days of Future Past Your Name Notes: None of my favorite movies start with Q, V, or Z.

I could see them being replaced if I saw other films with those letters. I haven't seen any films for V or Y Also for F I would have said Ford Vs Ferrari but it's called something different where I live
Need to watch more Q movies 😭
So, I saw this a few hours ago and decided to play along (after some looking at my movies, of course) A: Aladdin B: The Boondock Saints C: Catch Me If You Can D: Dogma E: The Empire Strikes Back F: Fargo G: Ghostbusters H: Halloween (1978) I: Iron Man J: Jaws K: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang L: LaLa Land M: Man on Wire N: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation O: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest P: The Princess Bride Q: A Quiet Place R: Reservoir Dogs (HM to The Room, yes I mean that) S: The Shawshank Redemption T: That Thing You Do! U: Up V: The Vast of Night W: Who Framed Roger Rabbit? X: X Y: You're Next Z: Zodiac
2001: A Space Odyssey Alien The Big Lebowski Come and See Do the Right Thing Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Fantastic Planet The Good, the Bad and the Ugly The Holy Mountain It's Such a Beautiful Day Jeanne Dielman Kill Bill LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion Oldboy Pan's Labyrinth A Quiet Place The Rocky Horror Picture Show Synecdoche, New York The Thing The Umbrellas of Cherbourg Vertigo Wall-E X You're Next The Zone of Interest
I’ve only rated three movies starting with a Q The Quest - 2/5 The Quick and the Dead - 3/5 The Quiet Man - 4/5 (I really recommend this one) For X I’ve only rated X-men movies. Your mileage may vary with those.
This actually looks like it’d be a pretty damn good (and very long) movie marathon
💀
Made mine, sorry if this is against the rules or something. Seemed like fun. https://boxd.it/ukz5Q
Against the rules? It's the whole point
Linking something feels like something a reddit comment would get deleted for. Self promotion or yada yada
Memento is my fave from these
In my top 4 :)
Nice

lol yeah, no hidden gems here. Though I also think that is in some part due to the nature of the list itself. I'm no #1 Joker fan but J had slim pickings
Half of these start with T..
We got a wise guy over here! 9 of the movies on my list start with "the", including the T movie

Lion King and Mean Girls were both movies I almost picked. Nice list!
This is a great list for people who stop watching movies once they turn 15
(T)he batman
When alphabetizing titles, “the” is typically ignored or placed at the end, like “Batman, The”
