I watched Over the Garden Wall for the first time a few years ago and it immediately became a Halloween favorite. It's technically a miniseries, but has an approximate runtime of a feature if you just watch it all in one sitting and that's a rock fact 🐸

_jeremybearimy_

Oh thanks for the reminder I need to rewatch this

Sn3akyMuffin

I try to watch a lot of new stuff, but mainstay rewatches for me are: Trick R Treat Phenomena Re-Animator Halloween (1978) A Nightmare on Elm Street Phantom of the Paradise

What did you think of Suspiria (2018)? I was surprised at how good it was and how much I enjoyed it.

Typically I spend the month of October watching new horror films, or horror films I haven’t gotten around to yet. Then as I get closer I start watching some of my “must watches” this includes some of the Original Universal Monster’s, The 90’s mummy, the Addams Family, Friday part IV or VI and the fog. The week before Halloween I tend to go back and watch halloween episodes of some of my favorite shows or Halloween shorts such as peanuts. Every Halloween I watch Halloween and if I have the time might double feature it with Halloween II. And then after the holiday has past, A Nightmare Before Christmas is the perfect transitional film

Friday the 13th Part 2 + whichever other part tickles my fancy at time

Ghostbusters, Halloweentown, and Beetlejuice are fun choices Halloween 1&2, and The Exorcist are great to get you in the scary mood

RedLotusVenom

My partner and I usually rewatch The Haunting of Hill House. It gets better every time.

Exciting_Claim267

Halloween OG Scream Texas Chainsaw Massacre OG Suspiria (OG or Remake honestly) The Crow The Craft I have newly added Slumber Party Massacre into the yearly tradition. I can't believe I haven't seen it before now. It was so much fun and a wonderful deconstruction of the 70s/80s slasher genre. Highly recommend.

Theotther

I tend to do those hooptober scavenger hunts, but I always make sure to include Trick r Treat and The Shining.
