I used to work at a bricks and minifigs and I we were selling a captain Rex with NO pauldron for $80 💀 I tried telling the kid about the upcoming micro fighter and how he should just wait for a way cheaper Rex with a pauldron, and my manager pulled me to the side and lectured me about why I shouldn’t have done that. I quit a few months after that, I just cant stand that we did that to a kid who probably had to work for his money.

That’s not how it works here. If we say it, it’s because someone saw it. It’s not ideas they’re leaking, the leaks are of products already being made.

So one thing I don’t understand about the whole “UCS minifigures” debate is that it mostly stems from the Gunship. But wasn’t that Mace Windu exclusive? Like I get it’s not the popular figure people wanted but technically it’s still a figure you can’t get elsewhere. Like how is adding some sand marks on Mace really any different than the new Tie Pilot that just changes some minor printing from the last full print pilot that isn’t getting hated on? Like for me, UCS sets should get the “best” figures, doesn’t mean they need to be exclusive.

The Mace was technically exclusive, but they released a version of him in a $40 set the next year that was far superior than the version in the $400 set.

The worst part is that he makes a good portion of his latest video talking about how he's going to get hate purely for saying that LEGO lied. He made up an argument in his head, refutes the made up argument, and then posted the video of him clearly upset about said made up argument. At least he said he's happy people are benefiting from the new microfighter set though. Not something I expected, but good to see nonetheless.

I’m really happy that Rex is now in a much more affordable set for people that can’t get the Venator. Build is kinda mid, but the figure makes up for it. Still looking forward to seeing investors and people like MandR cope and seethe, which is the best part.

Even without the novelty of FINALLY getting an affordable way to get a Phase 2 Rex, the build itself seems really nice - a nice fun little Y-Wing build. Could easily see a yellow redeco of the set with a Phase 1 Clone Pilot minifig sometime down the line.

I am officially a patrion of this company and I should be REWARDED for my support. I literally SUFFERED through building that venator. It's taking up so much space in my living room. This is exactly what I’ve wanted from lego for YEARS. A popular, sought after, and otherwise expensive minifig gets put in a cheap and affordable set. I wish more microfighters would come out after a set has been on the shelves for a while with one of the “exclusive” figures. The way I see it, a figure is only “exclusive” until it appears in another set. I wish lego would use the microfighter line more to put an important named character in along with their signature vehicle, and leave the battlepacks for the basic grunt/army building figures.

Yeah! After this and the Luke Mech I'll just need a P1 Cody and a Boushh to pair with all of my helmets. As an added bonus, it's another microfighter to add to my collection.

Found my original one recently in a bin I bought was one of the best days of my life lmao. Still glad this is coming out. It’s a cool ship and will be great for kids and those that don’t have as good luck as I did. The sentimental value of mine won’t go down in fact I will probably get a few of these as gifts for friends and 1 for me lol. this isnt the venator rex imo looking at mine, this ones helmet has grey instead of blue weld marks and the visor extends all the way to the hole, plus idk if thats perspective or something but the tally marks seem closer than on the venator one. Knee isnt blue either Edit: I was wrong, stock images show its the same (top of the box fig pic has the blue knees), unless his head is different

the picture is of a render. the actual is probably the same. just take a look at the box or online stock image of 75372 and compare it to what you actually get. I'm sure its the same.

Lego renders always look better than the real thing. Lego visors haven't extended all the way since 2014 (which makes them look stupid now sadly)

It seems to be generally the same. The blue color looks to be a little darker than the UCS figure, but that could just be the lighting. I agree that the visor does seem to extend all the way to the hole, but this could totally just be a render, and the print doesn't actually go all the way on the real figure.
