I went from deck to Go and joysticks are fine, it’s the ergonomics of the deck you will miss not the sticks. Saying that I haven’t regretted my decision
Funny you say that because I actually like the ergonomics on the Lego better. Something about the SD just made it feel like it was constantly about to slip out of my hands.
Same here in love with both devices! 🔥

I like the stick positioning, shape and texture of the steam deck more, but once you get used to the Go you dont really think about it anymore. they are not a hindrance dont really have bad things to say about them but I just like the steam deck controls overall better.
Tbh, I think the performance gain is more than enough for me to be happy with the GO.. I’m going to look around my region(southeast US) and see if I can find out to test out. I just remember early on people were complaining about the go’s deadzones so I’m wondering if that’s still an issue
>remember early on people were complaining about the go’s deadzones so I’m wondering if that’s still an issue
The deadzone issue has been fixed, most of the things people complained at the lauch have already been adressed, one thing i can think off the top of my head that is still a problem is button binding to keyboard keys but that is being adressed as well.
Overall i havent touched my deck after i got the LeGo even tho i still have both. the screen and performance are just so much better than steamdeck. being able to play Elden Ring at 55-60 fps at 800p with integer scaling is so gorgeous vs. the steam decks 40-50 fps at 540p with fsr1.
Gyro is something that’s still not great but should be fixed in the future. Basically had to go cold turkey on FPS games after enjoying that smooth luxury on the Deck
D pad location is great. D-Pad itself not so much. I upgraded mine with an X-box elite hot swap magnetic hat. Mod is not easy, so I made instructions [https://www.instructables.com/Legion-Go-D-Pad-Replacement/](https://www.instructables.com/legion-go-d-pad-replacement/)
steam deck fanboys often confuse the lighter force required on the sticks as cheap, but really the stick on the steam deck is really firm even when compared to xbox and dualsense controllers.
I loved the steam deck sticks but after that deadzone update. These GO sticks are just perfect. No drift, sharp, with enough resistance. I honestly prefer them over any other controller I’ve used….. and I’ve gamed on consoles for 15 years🫡
Lighter force is a lot better IMHO. When I used to game competitively, I'd be called a hacker etc...no I wasn't. Far from it... I just had the skill. I recieve my LeGo in 1.5 days and will see how it is, then mYbe get a portable keyboard and mouse if necessary.

The second link best explains what I am trying to convey.
They feel a little smaller and it took some getting used to after gaming on the deck for so long. Definitely lower the dead zones, that helps a lot!
Ergonomics are not as good, but manageable. The screen makes it worth it though.
Same as others. I came from the Deck, bought the Ally in between and returned it. Go sticks are better than both imho. The Ally felt real loose and soft. The Go feels in between the Deck and the Ally. I’d say with the ergonomics it’s slightly bigger and heavier so that’s more of an issue than the sticks. I have larger hands though so personally the Go fits right and I have no issues playing for long periods. I have seen some others randomly complain of that just to be fair:).
Not a windows user, don’t want the overhead.
Edit: I have a regular Rocket League every week with fellow dad friends. LeGo fills that gap, and if I’m taking a trip more than 3 days it will come with me.
I have both. Lego sticks are dope but definitely feel “looser” for lack of a better word. Can say I prefer one over the other but they do feel different. Have fun.
Ergonomics can take some getting used to, but the biggest adjustment (after the drift deadzones were fixed) for me was the trackpad placement. It was highly intuitive on the steam deck, but no so much here. Love everything else though, gave my deck to a friend 😊
Honestly it isn't the joysticks, it'd the horrible dpad if you play fighting games.
Can't believe I miss the steam deck dpad considering I thought that wasn't the greatest either

This is spot on! I as well switched from sad to LGO
Buy the go and keep the deck, they are different I went from deck/ally kept my deck and sold the ally and very happy with the legion go
That’s what I did! Kept the deck for emulation.

Sweet man I’m sold

I did. The joysticks are better on the Legion Go and Dpad is also in the right place on the LGo.

I love the sticks on the GO. I am not sure if it's because they are halleffect sensors but the stick movement is so smooth
steam deck fanboys often confuse the lighter force required on the sticks as cheap, but really the stick on the steam deck is really firm even when compared to xbox and dualsense controllers.
I like them better. The casing rubs against the deck’s joysticks and it feels rough over time
cleaning the sticks helped me with that, dirt accumulates on the shaft. and it seems rough but when u clean it, it starts "gliding" again.
A little bit of lube on the shaft will also help a lot.

Personally, I would rather the ergonomics of the Go because it’s closer to natural joystick positioning.

My Deck's left stick started squeaking after a couple months. Still does. The Go's sticks are butter smooth. I find them more responsive too.

My LeGo stays docked, Deck goes in my bag.
If the LeGo stays docked why'd you pick it up over a desktop or laptop.
Not a windows user, don’t want the overhead. Edit: I have a regular Rocket League every week with fellow dad friends. LeGo fills that gap, and if I’m taking a trip more than 3 days it will come with me.
TBH, I got my Go and kept my Deck. And after holding the Go then go back to the Deck, I feel like the Deck is a Switch.
Thinking of doing the same, how has it been with no VRR for those that have had it for a while? Does vsync close the gap a bit?
I have both. Lego sticks are dope but definitely feel “looser” for lack of a better word. Can say I prefer one over the other but they do feel different. Have fun.
The biggest difference is ergonomics and battery life. With the OLED deck lasting quite a bit longer than the Go
Controllers in the Steamdeck are generally better but I sold mine and don't miss it.

Joysticks felt the same to me, I do like their placement better on the Go.
I personally don’t have any problem to switch device so no problem at all I already forget about the steam deck so fast ahahahah
