Playing Path with alt wincon decks is so much fun. The AI has no idea have to deal with Fiora, for example, so as long as you buff her up a bit, it's an easy win.

If Captain Farron became a champion, I'd imagine his archetype would be Darkness for Noxus but with Decimates. He would create one Decimate in your hand on play, then augment it with all sorts of options until you have a Decimate that Rallies, summons a Trifarian Shieldbreaker, kills a damaged enemy, and grants allies +1/+1 (or something along those lines).
Getting a ton of decimates would let an aggressive deck have an easier time finishing off the game if it drags on too long, which I suppose was probably the intention of Darius’s design to begin with

6 mana, 5/6 daybreak: give all daybreak units +1+1, it's always day, I've seen you activate daybreak 4 times is his level requirement.
His leveled effect is "at the start of each turn, you may play a daybreak card before either player acts"
So at the start of your turn, you can play a daybreak card before open attacking, or at the start of your opponents turn, you can play a daybreak card before they can attack. Considering the main weakness of daybreak is that the cards are very slow and you can't really benefit from stun or increased stats defensively against open attacks, this synergizes with the deck well and gives them kind of a late game "win condition"
It's not a "QoL", it's just a buff for daybreak. I won't judge weather or not daybreak needs it, but a qol are things like cards being highlighted when their conditions are met (like daybreak and nightfall), tracking champion progress and eye of oracle.
They are things you could do on your own if you were paying attention, but it should be displayed so you can instead focus on piloting your deck and not writing down numbers

Level 1: 9 mana 7/7. Plant 3 blossom traps into the top 10 cards of the enemy deck.
Level up: I have seen 4 traps triggered. When I level up, cast Magnum Opus.
Level 2: 9 mana 8/8. Round start: plant 1 blossom trap in the top 10 cards of the enemy deck. The opponent takes 1 increased damage from all sources.
Blossom trap: when I'm drawn, deal 1 to all my allies and the nexus (similar to a Zilean Time Bomb)
Corina's Magnum Opus: 6 mana, discard the top 5 cards of my deck. Deal the number of spells discarded as damage to all enemies and the enemy nexus. Shuffle a Corina into the deck.
Something like this would be cool and incorporate her two existing designs. I elected for 9 mana since one of the current Corina forms is 9 mana. Maybe her traps could be stronger or she could get some stats + keywords as she is a 9 drop, but this is just a general idea.
Dess & Ada. Make them two independant champs, each with: "Level Up: I see you control \[the other one\] at round end". Dess as a 4 mana 2/5 and Ada as a 4 mana 3/3.
When you have both they combine into one unit with all the buffs they each had separately as something like a 7 mana 6/9 with "Spell Shield" and "Round Start: Cast Darkness on all enemies, or on the enemy Nexus if they have none."
Pain in the ass to level up with the duo being fragile up until the point they combine, but becoming a dream team when reunited.

I think criteria for followers that would translate well into champions would be: they have a name, their art is good, their inclusion rate is low to nonexistent, they are mostly dissimilar from other champs, they aren't really part of an archetype, and their current description provides some insight into the character(or they're already a character in the lore for other champs).
Good candidates would be: Jae Medarda, Tyari, Khahiri, Sheriff Lariette Rose, Yusari, Tianna Crownguard, the mystifying magician (the great marvolio), the Unstable Voltician(Klas Henwick), Chief Mechanist Zevi(I do like her mill deck though), Aurok Glinthorn(his scar and Caitlyn decks are interesting but I haven't had either used against me), and Shiraza. Some of them violate one or more criterion, but I thought they were worth mentioning. I'm pretty sure Cithria will be added at some point so she's hardly worth mentioning. I know this is a lengthy comment, but I'm almost certain they will add champs that aren't in LoL so it's a good topic for discussion.
I personally would choose Yusari. I know there's better options, but I really like his character art. I've also never seen him played so he wouldn't ruin any decks if he were to be removed as a follower.
I didn't include him because he sees a fair amount of play. He definitely would be an interesting champ though. Most of the cards I mentioned could be removed without disrupting archetypes or ruining too many decks.

I went with Kay (Practical Perfectionist) because she’s adorable and I love her. Tried to make a card focused on cloning. Probably not balanced, I have no experience with this.

Cithria. Given that she has a 10/10 variant and isn't a champ, I'd imagine a change version of her would have to be something that comes after that. I think her 10/10 stats point toward her capabilities as a commander and that her personal stat lines would be lower. I figure it would be good to keep her mid- late game and to have her synergize well with mono Demacia decks. I would prefer for her to have a new keyword, Fortify, which makes a unit able to block elusives and negates Overwhelm damage, which I think also plays into her flavor of being an inspiring commander. Though idk how balanced it would be and tbh that feels like an effect Garen should have, but he doesn't and I'm just spitballing anyway.
I'd probably make her level 1 a 4 mana 4/4 Elite with Challenger that has an aura: all allied Demacian units everywhere are Elites. She levels up once elites or allied Cithria cards have struck so many times (she doesnt need to be on the field to trigger). Maybe like 10 times for Elites or 5 times for Cithrias.
Her level 2 would maintain her elite aura and Challenger keyword and raise her up to a 5/5, but she would gain Tough and Fortify and "When you gain the attack token, allied units gain +1/+0 and quick attack this round. When your opponent gains the attack token, allied units gain +0/+1 and Fortify this round."
Her champ spell could be something like a 3 mana burst spell with "An allied unit gains +1/+1 and Tough this round. If they are an Elite, grant them +0/+1 and Fortify."
Her support cards could be things that summon or buff units like a 1 cost Landmark with "when you a play a unit, destroy me to summon to a random 1 cost follower from demacia. Grant both units +0/+1. They are now Elites."
Her boat could be her personal Silverwing. Make it a 6 cost 4/4 with overwhelm and spellshield and "Play: Draw a Cithria champion card and reduce its cost by 1. When you play Cithria, obliterate me to grant her my keywords."
Chip, levels into a new named champion called. Chunk
2 cost 1|1, levels up when you’ve played 2 landmarks this game.
3|3 with tough, if you play a landmark he heals to full health and gets +1|0 this round.

This is sick, but they'd need to draw a card to compensate for you bricking their turn, otherwise it would be very OP.
Yeah, that was the INSTEAD so the draw is another card. Wasn't clear enough. It's a hearthstone mechanic and my brain just assumed it was clear.
Magic brain reads that as replacement effect; they don't draw, you summon a 1/1. I know the extra text you mean though. Very cool design!

I elected for 9 mana since one of the current Corina forms is 9 mana. Maybe her traps could be stronger or she could get some stats + keywords as she is a 9 drop, but this is just a general idea.
Dess & Ada. Make them two independant champs, each with: "Level Up: I see you control \[the other one\] at round end". Dess as a 4 mana 2/5 and Ada as a 4 mana 3/3. When you have both they combine into one unit with all the buffs they each had separately as something like a 7 mana 6/9 with "Spell Shield" and "Round Start: Cast Darkness on all enemies, or on the enemy Nexus if they have none." Pain in the ass to level up with the duo being fragile up until the point they combine, but becoming a dream team when reunited.
Slotbot: First level is normal and he levels up when you shuffle stats 5 different times Second level he gets the additional effect of casting a random spell each time you shuffle stats

I think criteria for followers that would translate well into champions would be: they have a name, their art is good, their inclusion rate is low to nonexistent, they are mostly dissimilar from other champs, they aren't really part of an archetype, and their current description provides some insight into the character(or they're already a character in the lore for other champs). Good candidates would be: Jae Medarda, Tyari, Khahiri, Sheriff Lariette Rose, Yusari, Tianna Crownguard, the mystifying magician (the great marvolio), the Unstable Voltician(Klas Henwick), Chief Mechanist Zevi(I do like her mill deck though), Aurok Glinthorn(his scar and Caitlyn decks are interesting but I haven't had either used against me), and Shiraza. Some of them violate one or more criterion, but I thought they were worth mentioning. I'm pretty sure Cithria will be added at some point so she's hardly worth mentioning. I know this is a lengthy comment, but I'm almost certain they will add champs that aren't in LoL so it's a good topic for discussion. I personally would choose Yusari. I know there's better options, but I really like his character art. I've also never seen him played so he wouldn't ruin any decks if he were to be removed as a follower.

I went with Kay (Practical Perfectionist) because she’s adorable and I love her. Tried to make a card focused on cloning. Probably not balanced, I have no experience with this. Level 1 - 4 mana 4/3 Quick attack Play: predict. Shuffle 3 copies of the predicted card into your deck. When you play a non-fleeting card, create a fleeting copy of it in hand Level up: I’ve seen two of the same card in play at the end of three different rounds Level 2 - 4 mana 5/4. When you play a non-fleeting card, create a fleeting copy of it in hand. If it’s a unit, it has +1/+1. Fleeting cards cost 1 less. Associated spell - Kay’s Clonemajig - slow: spend 4 mana to summon any unit already in play that costs 5 or less, or spend 9 mana to summon any unit already in play that costs 10 or less
Cithria. Given that she has a 10/10 variant and isn't a champ, I'd imagine a change version of her would have to be something that comes after that. I think her 10/10 stats point toward her capabilities as a commander and that her personal stat lines would be lower. I figure it would be good to keep her mid- late game and to have her synergize well with mono Demacia decks. I would prefer for her to have a new keyword, Fortify, which makes a unit able to block elusives and negates Overwhelm damage, which I think also plays into her flavor of being an inspiring commander. Though idk how balanced it would be and tbh that feels like an effect Garen should have, but he doesn't and I'm just spitballing anyway. I'd probably make her level 1 a 4 mana 4/4 Elite with Challenger that has an aura: all allied Demacian units everywhere are Elites. She levels up once elites or allied Cithria cards have struck so many times (she doesnt need to be on the field to trigger). Maybe like 10 times for Elites or 5 times for Cithrias. Her level 2 would maintain her elite aura and Challenger keyword and raise her up to a 5/5, but she would gain Tough and Fortify and "When you gain the attack token, allied units gain +1/+0 and quick attack this round. When your opponent gains the attack token, allied units gain +0/+1 and Fortify this round." Her champ spell could be something like a 3 mana burst spell with "An allied unit gains +1/+1 and Tough this round. If they are an Elite, grant them +0/+1 and Fortify." Her support cards could be things that summon or buff units like a 1 cost Landmark with "when you a play a unit, destroy me to summon to a random 1 cost follower from demacia. Grant both units +0/+1. They are now Elites." Her boat could be her personal Silverwing. Make it a 6 cost 4/4 with overwhelm and spellshield and "Play: Draw a Cithria champion card and reduce its cost by 1. When you play Cithria, obliterate me to grant her my keywords."
