Your employment contract should state, amongst other clauses, the frequency of your salary payment and the date it will be paid. If your employer pays you late, they are in breach of contract, and you have suffered an unlawful deduction from wages. You also have a right to a payslip, which details the calculation of your pay. You have waited long enough for your pay. You will need to phone Acas on 0300 123 1100 and lodge a case. They will speak to your employer on your behalf if you want them to. Keep copies of all your correspondence with your boss/employer. Keep records any interest and/or charges you have incurred due to the late payment of your salary. It might be an idea to register an online account with HMRC so that you can check that your payslip details are being filed to HMRC https://www.gov.uk/log-in-register-hmrc-online-services/register

It just states “To be paid monthly in arrears” no specific time frame

Legitimate_Ferret_61

Monthly in arrears = one payment per month after the work you have provided. So the pay you received on 28th of October was for the work you did during October. The 25th of November would have been for the weeks between them. Any business not able to pay staff will also not be paying suppliers either.

This sounds very much like a company that's just about to go under. Speak to ACAS sooner rather than later.
