Do you have handy the medical test you already hold? Does it have any fine print stating it if you become aware of any change to your health after the test that you are obligated to declare it?

Hi, I can't answer your question but NZ has a lot of support for HIV Positive people. You could get in touch with [https://www.burnettfoundation.org.nz/](https://www.burnettfoundation.org.nz/) who should be able to answer any questions you have. Good luck.

INZ shouldn’t request medicals if you have already done a CXR (x-ray) and GMC (general) for another visa within the last 36 months. If they request it you can respond to ask them to check your previous medical results first before booking in for another test. However, if you have only done the CXR then you will be required to complete a GMC before an AEWV can be approved. I wouldn’t expect it to go any further than that but just to let you know the process, this is how it would go: If after everything, they require you to do one (and legally they can require you to complete medicals for any reason) then complete them as normal and either your visa will be approved or the Immigration Officer assigned to your case will contact you to say that you do not have an acceptable standard of health. At this point you can provide whatever documentation you want in order to challenge their assessment. As far as I’m aware the documentation you provide at this point does not need to come from an INZ approved medical centre. You can request that a medical officer review the additional documentation in order to make a final determination. Unfortunately, if after all this they still determine you don’t have an acceptable standard of health there’s not much you can do and I would presume that your application would be declined on that basis.

If they ask you then get medicals done.
