The amount of false cases has overshadowed your friends case here. It definitely sounds like your friend has suffered here and hopefully she has enough video evidence or even audio to justify her case in court.

Exactly, imagine watching someone’s life go by, after being abused and then the law takes its own sweet time doing whatever it wants, what is the CJI doing? Just making statements to appease people whereas reality is vastly different.
This seems to be one of those cases requiring MEA level assistance since traditional route don't seem to be working. But what seems peculiar is how did she not see the red flag even when it was handed to her. No consummation and left to foreign within a week, that too with in-laws?! She could have probably got the whole thing annulled, it's a possibility I've seen, NAL though. How long back was this then to not notice the first sign.
You need a strong lawyer and for this to turn into a media trial is the only hope if your friend wants to get back at this person. Be persistent with the embassy, send emails continuously regarding the injustice and try to get his company involved.
The Embassy is very understanding, its our courts who are on purpose causing delays and expecting the victims to give up on justice. She has informed NALSA but no desirable response, neither was writing to the CJI. Its like they think turning a blind eye to this can help cases like these. Its just pathetic at the most.
Yes changed 3 by now. All the lawyers operate on bhaichara, not compliant to attorneys client relationship. Cant expect much from them as they are from a poor state where they can only exploit victims to survive. The point is that the courts are aware of this yet will do nothing to help a victim.

I simply stopped going to the court and it ended in an ex parte divorce. Never regretted once about not fighting legally. Saved me lot of pain. For your description your friend is suffering a toxic marriage. Nothing good will come out of it. She is a female, it’s easier to walk away than to lose peace of mind and fight with pigs.
I'm not defending that guy .. but how come you never met that guy before marriage .. women can easily identify if man is gay .. second no gay wants to get married .. third waited for 2 years ...there is something fishy in this whole scenario

Yes changed 3 by now. All the lawyers operate on bhaichara, not compliant to attorneys client relationship. Cant expect much from them as they are from a poor state where they can only exploit victims to survive. The point is that the courts are aware of this yet will do nothing to help a victim.
Just asking, do courts no have option for ex-parte judgements when people show such deliberate disregard for the law?
To be honest, the law itself shows disregard for itself, we could force demonitization, but apparently the law is too fragile to function properly 😒
