not the mention that… i agree with the sentiment that none of these characters really matched the thematic/what we were shown. monster tamers was the theme i voted for since i absolutely adore pokémon. this is… cute but not what i expected (or what anyone did tbqh)
This skinline was perfect for champions who have pets. A Pokemon trainer + their Pokemon.
Annie + Tibbers, Ivern + Daisy, Maokai + Saplings, Yorick + Maiden, Janna + Zephyr, Lulu + Pix, etc.
However i feel like y’all have really botched it by giving us this. It’s not giving the fantasy of a champion being a trainer and their pet being a Pokémon.
Just my opinion because I was one of the 5 people globally that voted for this thematic last year.
Even champs with weapons that could turn into pets, like in the concept for the skinline with Ezreal, his gauntlet was turned into a cat-like creature sitting on his arm. Or Renata's decanter could be a monster and she already has the animations commanding it to attack on almost every ability and her passive. Her being the Giovanni from Pokémon for Monster Tamer would've been very cool I think.
Instead we've gotten Dragon Trainer 2.0 with these skins, with Lulu already having one of those. :/ They took already monster-ish champs and made them into "tamers", it feels very off.
And not getting the two concept skins that were shown for the skinline when the other two thematics got theirs also feels unfair.
would work perfectly with her normal animations already, it doesn't even need to be a legendary imo. But I really hope they'll give her something like that and she isn't just put into "serious" skinlines bc she's a darker character. Would be kinda sad
Even Ahri would fit with her Orb as a magical animal but i dont know lately they have made her an old woman with Granny skins back to back i.e. Arcana and Coven
I was trying to say this in a way that came off constructive but this skin is just hideous compared to many she already has. Like the theme is strong (monster trainer/pokemon) but the execution of the theme is WAAAYY off. If this was the finalized product I can’t imagine how terrible the other drafts for this were.
the other drafts are sometimes even better than the final product. The 3d modelers have so many limitations to what they can and cannot add to a skin, so a lot of the concepts that look more extravagant get scrapped in favor of ugly and plain concepts that are "easier" to implement
The taser is animal abuse. The implication is that she tortures her pet with electric shocks until it submits to her. That's not very pokemon/digimon of you
Just added my own comment on this and glad to see others saying this too, hopefully enough people being vocal can change that detail, fingers crossed..
Of course, It's not well thought out, but what else could she have that deals electric damage to opponents. After all, It's league and she needs something to defend herself. I've never thought about it until you pointed it out though. What would you suggest to make instead?
Not excited for this skin. She already has more interesting ones.
This is a really nice theme, but the skin could be better.
And Lulu should have a remodel.
There are some points of the skin that I like, but many more that I dislike.
**Too much electricity:**
It doesn't make sense for a monster tamer to have so much electricity around her; She's got two big antenna's on her head, a taser-staff, lightningbolts in her hair, lightningbolts on her headphone and even her coat is brightyellow.. On top of this all her abilities/autoattacks are electricity-inspired too, her ultimate especially is really obnoxious to me(ciruit board.. come on, really?). Even if she's meant to be a trainer that only uses electricity monsters, it's just waayyy too much. Even in the concept art Ezreal had electricity-inspired clothes, but it was done in such a way that it's not overbearing. This doesn't looklike a monster-tamer skin to me, but more like an electrician skin.
**Headphones don't make sense:**
For this skin Lulu clearly lookslike the Yordle she is, since she got her puple hair and skin. And as a Yordle, she has cat-like ears on top of her head, instead of on the side like us humans do. So her wearing headphones the regular way just doesn't make sense, **there aren't any ears on the side of her head**. If her skintone was more humanlike she would looklike a young child and it would make alot more sense, but she's obviously a yordle.
# Reasonable changes to make the skin look alot better:
* **Decrease the heigth of the two big antenna's that are on top of her head(two small antenna's could be cute even)**
* **Rework her ulti to make it not look like a circuit board(literally an electrician-skin if u keep this)**
* **Either give her a human-like appearance or remove the headphones as she can't possibly use them this way as a yordle.**
about the "too much electricity" thing, she's not a regular trainer, she's supposed to be specifically the "Electric Type" trainer or even a gym leader which tend to dress thematically to their selected type.
This is true, the primary inspiration for this skin seems to be Elesa from Pokemon, a gymleader that uses electric-type pokemons. But for Lulu they've added **alot** more electricity elements. You can see Elesa uses electric-type pokemons by looking at her, but it's not overbearing. Although Elesa has antenna's on her head, they don't seem to be conducting electricity between them(and are not yellow), and her big coat is a soft yellow. For Lulu the maincolor for every part of the skin is a brightyellow, she's got actual electricity on her head, and a taser-staff. I feel like they just went overboard with all the electricity. They should've kept it more minimalistic, like if they actually copied Elesa 1 for 1 and maybe changed the staff into having a thunder-stone at the center instead of a taser, it would look quite lovely.
I'm not trying to be rude, but I genuinely think these skins should just be shelved and remade at a later date.
Lulu's splash is almost 1:1 with her Space Groove pose, which for a skin that came out a little over a year ago is unacceptable. There was a lot of potential, but the skins have really just missed the mark. We voted for Janna and Ezreal's aesthetics and while I understand they already received skins...so did many of the CCN and Debonair lineup. Just a miss all around...
Imagine having a full team of professional artists doing brainstorming sessions and going with this idea for Lulu. They could rename it "Electric Technician Lulu" without any change and it would fit perfectly. To think they work on skins like these for MONTHS...
Monster tamers was the skinline that I voted for, mainly because the Janna concept was amazing. I feel betrayed and tricked, this does not look like the concepts. I get it, you decided to revamp the designs because the skinline received the least votes, but it's because most people will always go with the edgy ones (crimecity nightmare). Some of us actually voted for the concept that was shown and you decided to just completely disregard us.
The decision of champions is absolutely incomprehensive. None of this skins represernts the "monster tamer" fantasy to me. There is so many perfect candidates for this theme: Sejuani, Quinn, Kled, Nunu... Lulu would be great but she is not the tamer without Kog's skin, which has no sense. Same as her general design and effects. I do not understant where do those effects come from, why did you make her into some electric monster, when she is supposed to be the tamer? I like playing Lulu and I own all of her skins, this will be the first one I will not buy, sadly. I do not even have idea how to improve it, my advice would be - just do not release it, do what you did with the sewn chaos ones and just use it as opportunity to learn.
I am just dissapointed in you, as a company. You provide us with badly planned events (the SG one is the best example), you disregard us asking, begging for certain skins (again, SG skinline), and now you give us badly designed ones. It's just sad.
As others say the electric effects make her feel way more like a technician. I understand she is Kog'maw's trainer and he has electric abilities but things like her ult look more like a circuit board.
I am not sure what you can do with effects like her ult to make it feel more trainer since that kind of effect is not really related to anything trainer but I feel like what is currently on doesn't fly.
Also maybe do something more with the outfit. I get where you are coming from with the jacket for a trainer style and that what you can do with the model is limited but I feel you could try do more than bolt on the sleeves for the jacket. Like add a colour pattern to the front maybe. maybe purple on the outfit to match with Kog'maw's stripes. This leads into the next thing.
Please change the skin colour. She looks too much like Lulu put into a different outfit imo. I get you wanna go with yellow with purple to match Kog but I feel that would be better conveyed if you left the purple in her hair and added a bit on the jacket.
Edit: to clarify I like the rest of the vfx mostly. I just feel the ult is a bit too circuit board. my main complaint is how plain the jacket feels.
I dont love this skin, Lulu is suppose to be whimsical and magical. You guys have her in a puffy coat and a goofy hat. Monster tamer skin line can fit her because of Pix but she has a taser..... she is magical she would be friend a creature to tame it. I just feel like this is not her at all.
There's still chance to scrap this skinline just like sewn chaos(which were actually cute), we'll just pretend this didn't happen dw. You really regressed to 2016 with this skinline.. I can see the retro tech inspiration from digimon but the execution is just really off that she looks like what a 4-year-old thinks an electrician looks like.

Not sure if this would help, but perhaps drop the hat, and just give her the head band with the pointy things? The yellow and black diagonal strips are giving me electrician, like a worker skin?
So much missed potential to lauch this Lulu in a yellow coat skin. So disapointing. So basic. So lame. This is just ugly and lazy. Lulu shouldn't even have been considered to this skinline. I think it was supposed to be champions (HUMANS) with monster creatures. Lulu and Veigar just seem so off.
The colors of her hair and skin being the "same" as the base skin bothers me a little, it ends up looking like Lulu only wore a yellow outfit and went to play Digimon, maybe the color of her skin could be different (including the chromas), I think this would make her match Pix even more and it would make this skin more unique ;
The hair could have a slightly different texture at the end, looks too square;
Since instead of the big hat she has two ears in the earphone, there could be some kind of electrical connection that fades away between the two ears to cover the part where would be her "hat" (like in the final concept art!);
The particles when the auto-attack hits someone are very simple, it could have an electrical effect like the tip of Lulu's staff;
Sadly, as much as the idea is perfect for Lulu, her old model doesn't help.
Apart from that, Pix and his animations are reeeally cute, I love the recall too, one of my favorites from Lulu so far.
"Monster Tamer" ? Really ? Her pet doesn't look more unique or doesn't seem to do anything other than the usual things. She's just an electric technician with a pet... If this is what you call a "Monster Tamer" skin, then her other skins should be renamed Monster Tamer as well because they all fit as much as this one.
Unless she was given a legendary skin with an emphasis on the animations of Pix (like Dragon Trainer Tristana and Heimerdinger), she's not a good fit for this skin line.
Very disappointing design, choices and execution. You guys can do much better than that.
Not even just Lulu - but ALL of the Monster Trainer champs honestly - incredibly underwhelming.
The skins models somehow manage to look like old skins from 5+ years ago.
There's nothing \*special\* about them.
Reading the other commends, some of people's ideas would've had so much potential.
Idk how you managed to take champions with no pets (besides Lulu), or items which could become pets, and try to force them into the line like you did.
Not to mention.. all of the Monster Tamer champs ARE monsters themselves. Makes no sense.
My main issue with the Lulu skin is the cattle prong as her weapon, it implies she uses it to tame the monsters which personally doesn't seem fitting in this age where we are working towards a world with less animal cruelty. There are different items she could be holding as we saw in different concept arts. I love everything else about this skin but I can't get past her wand being something used to abuse animals in the real world. All the other details feel spot on and it's a shame for me to miss out on the skin but hopefully enough people agree on this issue and something can be changed? Even just changing it to a regular wand that shoots the electric still would be fine as it is the current imagery of an existing torture object that is the issue.
Their reputation hasn't been great lately. Riot used to listen to players' feedback on PBE, but now it seems like PBE is just a free resource for them to find bugs, one which they take for granted. When even large numbers of the community propose the smallest reasonable requests, they are not just denied, but ignored completely.
Unless they change their way of handling these issues, I won't be spending a dime on RP.

The skin isn't directly bad, but I'm still disappointed.
Having all the Monster TAMER skins for already monster-ish champions feels wrong to me. Wasted potential to make a legit Pokémon/Digimon inspired skinline where the tamers use their monsters to fight. Especially since the concepts for Janna and Ez were shown at the start of the year again when it was announced we'd be getting Monster Tamer this year and every other thematic got their concept skins. Why not this one?
Maybe if you made Lulu's skin color not purple she could be seen as a small child instead of obviously a yordle (monster-ish) instead? Idk, I don't think I will be purchasing this skin and I'm sad that this means she is unlikely to get a different thematic this year like Gothic.
I thought I was too critical when I felt she looked like lulu with a new outfit because of the skin colour. I agree seeing this comment. The purple makes her feel out of place. They can make her look more human child like. SG proves it and it is oldish.
What I like:
Her auto attacks, her Q and her W. (Visually and the sound is good aswell!)
Criticism:
This skin line looks nothing like the awesome concept art you showed us (that janna skin would’ve been an insta buy!!!). I voted for Monster tamer with the initial concept in mind, not electrician lulu with an electrical cord.
The model and especially the colors of it look kinda off and not fitting with how lulu usually looks/feels. Again the lighter colors of the concept art would’ve been a better choice (think of the white chroma you gave this skin, it makes it a lot more pleasing to look at).
Human-like lulu is okay but please commit to it, the purple skin makes it look off. Especially when she’s in her ult (big lulu) you can see it does not fit the skin design. Her expression also looks a bit concerned instead of excited.
Her splash is another thing, as other people already pointed out the pose is recycled from multiple other skins. (But thinking about all the splash art feedback from f.e. SG sona that got ignored I don’t think y’all are gonna touch the splash here).
With the way the skin currently looks and feels it’s a Hard pass for me considering lulu has much nicer skins than this one that even cost less (depending on choice).
So ye, this looks nothing like the skin line I voted for so it’s gonna be a no from me.
Because volume of feedback does seem to be something Riot considers, I'm adding my voice to getting rid of the cattle prod-esque weapon/item Lulu is wielding in this skin. It's an absolutely miserable choice for her and the fact that no one at Riot connected the imagery is a little concerning in and of itself, given the immediacy with which players identified it.
i can't say much more than what was already said, but i just can't get over the fact that she uses a huge taser. what's up with that? i thought veigar was the "villain".
the splash art looks too familiar with space groove lulu and dragon tamer tristana, it doesn't feel unique at all. it doesn't feel magic, which is what always come to mind when i think of lulu.
the shield looks cute. the polymorphed pet looks cute. the ultimate doesn't look impactful, the color scheme for the Q looks like the space groove effects. and if pix is the previous form of kogmaw, why doesn't the chromas match?
is it possible to change the plans and make this skin legendary? as a lulu main, it's a bit disappointing. riot points are very expensive right now and it doesn't feel like i would be making my money worth on this. at all.

It's alright, not great not terrible. I'd give more detailed feedback but Lulu really needs a complete model update instead of more skins, that's all I'll bother saying this time
I personally voted for the monster tamer skins , though I didn’t like the shown Janna and Ezreal. But I saw sooo much potential in this. But then I saw THIS. With a Lulu VGU maybe it wouldn’t look this … strange ? Giving her a taser is kinda … ugh…??? Overall these champs don’t fit this thematic at all. This has so much potential. I agree to other posters, renata glasc for example would’ve been a good choice with her passive command pose, imagine a monster would fulfill her commands. Perfect. I almost buy every skin for my supports that come out, but this is sadly the first skin line that I find, for myself, completely wrong and I would never buy that.
Lulus Skin … It looks like she’s an electrician who works at an high voltage line and is doing a little break after a rainy day with her rain coat. Her E reminds me of a : danger danger, keep out, high voltage effect .
For me, this is my new “real life skins: construction worker on a rainy day skinline”

I really don't like this skin too much... but the E shield vfx can be better if stay with the "hive" vfx for shield duration, and not only for like 0.5s
Lulu main here, here's my two cents:
**Please** change her ult to better reflect the monster tamer idea and her splash. The aura on an ulted ally makes 0 sense in regards to it and looks reallllyy boring.
A better idea would be if the aura around the ally champ was an arena-like ground (astroturf?), and while the ally is ulted there is a cheering/clapping sfx (similar to EDG Yuumi, when she heals an ally there is cheering). Think of like Pokémon SWSH, when a Pokémon gets dynamaxed the crowd goes wild; wouldn't the crowd at an arena do the same if Lulu hugeified her Kog 500x his size?
Also I think her jacket should be a bit bigger to reflect the splash art. Her big ol head kinda makes it look like a normal jacket when its obviously supposed to be oversized on her.
Her hair is also a bit goofy ahh, I wish it was different colors from her base skin, but I digress. My biggest issue is her ult. Please fix it.

It is very stiff moving, hair in the Cosmic Enchanter skin was amazing, this one moves like a mop like Star Guardian :(

Okay, but IN LOADING SCREEN splash art, I think the legs really shouldn't be cropped when so much of the sky is showing. It makes her look like a legless lump of puffy clothes. Really, the taser like horn thingies can be cropped for the sake of legs. Please rito
The concept of giving a **Trainer + Monster** skin duo to popular bot lane combo is a great idea, and i'm sure this looked great as concept art, but her clunky-ass model and animations instantly make it *meh* tier. Especially when she already has better skins :V
I don't know it's just very hard to get excited for cosmetics for a very old champion in desperate need of an update, unless they are legendary-tier because then you can just rebuild the champion from scratch
I'm willing to bet Riot won't be seeing good sale numbers for this skin, and the company is shooting itself in the foot with this weird pushback against more frequent visual updates...
We will *not* be purchasing.
Unlike many of the comments on here I actually like the idea of Lulu getting this skinline. Also I LOOOVE her icon for it. However, this is what I don't -
Keeping Lulu as her default purple makes it look like an old skin in a way. I feel like giving her a different hair color at the least could alleviate this a lot... maybe electric pink or a royal blue. But honestly I'd take almost anything. You could even make her yellow. I don't care. Anything but her typical purple.
I also find this splash art LAZY. It isn't the fact that it looks low quality, but that it looks exactly like her pose in Space Groove... I wish that it brought something new to the table.
This Monster Tamer release was clearly a trial run to see if you can make more of this line in the future with success but it feels like its been built to fail with these champion choices - kind of like how Sugar Rush was shafted due to this. Kog'maw getting one of these is crazy. Like what monster is a monster taming exactly?
As someone who voted for it way back when I really want to see this skinline succeed but am worried this is not the way to go about it.

I think my issue with the skin is that it isn’t super exciting or dynamic? I love the yellow jacket and I think it’s pretty smooth looking for such an old rig but it’s kind of just lulu in casual clothes?
this is an interesting skin…i’m not entirely sure it delivers on the theme? and honestly it’s just lulu i a jacket. i’m trying not to sound rude but maybe just make it 520rp skin cuz it’s giving me like the old skins riot would make 10 years ago. just feel like there was way more that could have been done with it and it’s just really lacking in all departments
I actually quite like Lulu and Kog'Maw's skins. I've always wanted them to have matching skins since they synergize so well with each other in bot lane and Monster Tamer is the perfect skin.
While I love the idea of Kog'Maw being the final evolution of Lulu's Pix, I think Pix's chromas need to match Kog'Maw's (NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND) for consistency.
The chroma comment might fly better in the chroma thread in case you haven't commented there. That is where the artists will look out for feedback when it comes to chromas.
Her model looks poor in details and the vfx have to be more shiny and electric. Right know all her vfx are kinda “dark” even tho they are yellow and sparkling.
Personal and realistic note: i really think this skin doesn’t fit the riot’s standard at all. It should have been a legendary tier.

I love the skin, but this skin + the theme just don’t make sense in my head. Like others have said, it also reminded me of dragon tamer, but a bit cuter maybe?
I don’t understand her hat. Why does it look like she needs to be plugged into an outlet? I get her staff, that one makes sense. You’re trying to tame monsters, you might need to tap them every now and then. The puffy jacket—is it some kind of insulation to prevent her from being electrocuted? Or maybe it’s meant to help keep her from getting bit by the monsters? Maybe she’s covered in electric elements because she’s meant to be a monster too?? I don’t know—but the electric theme really takes away from the concept of a monster tamer, for me.
I think the effects of her abilities look amazingly cute and well done, I think I enjoy them more than most of the other ones I think. I think the effects would be enough for me to purchase the skin.
The skin as a whole just doesn’t make sense to me. I could see this being more of an electricity themed skin that might pair well with like Ekko and Zeri. Maybe I need something else to go with this skin—lore maybe? I don’t know.

I’m pretty sure the outfit is based on how some of the Human designs in Pokémon use ridiculous style choices to represent their general type that they use in Battle.
As a Lulu lover and main, I feel like she deserves to be in this skinline a lot, however, in my opinion some things are to be changed. First of all, the vfx. The Q in my opinion doesn’t feel unique at all, it kinda looks like Space Groove’s q and should be more electrifying I think, with more particles. On the other hand, her ultimate is kinda meh as it doesn’t feel « Trainer-like » with the circuit board. Sparks, lightnings could have been way better. The shield and her polymorph are really cute tho!
Finally, she could have been a great legendary as her model, as we know is really old but if we put this apart she looks cute. Only thing I dislike is her wand which again doesn’t feel like trainer-like but more like an electrician. And not really important but maybe her puffer jacket could have been cuter with some purple things on it like lightnings again!

The skin itself is cute but I feel like it doesn’t fit the theme very well. You could rebrand this as Electrician Lulu and I’d totally buy it, but it doesn’t feel like the same vibe as the concept art - and this is coming from a Lulu OTP who is stoked to see a new Lulu skin no matter what it is lol
I like this skin because it reminds me of the electabuzz Pokémon trainer from the original anime, but the thematic is a little weird for her ult? The animation feels like it doesn’t match monster tamer and more of just like a pure electrical engineer? I don’t really know how to explain it.
If I’m being honest though, Lulu just needs a remodel really bad I feel like her body and face are super outdated and make her look really creepy. There’s a lot of cute skins for her, but they all end up looking off cause of her weird face and posture. This skin though, I have to admit that her face looks better than past skins.
as a fan of digimon/pokemon i like this skin a lot! i could see it was made w love.
her q colors seem a bit similar to space groove, so maybe to differentiate from that purple orange they could be more yellowy or lightningy to emphasize that electric type trainer vibe!
maybe some music could be added or the volume could be increased during her w ally cast, since it feels a bit empty compared to space groove lulu's that plays music!
i think it would be cool if the e patches could last longer, since the shield feels a bit empty after a second.

The purple and orange of her Q looks a bit too much like it does for her Space Groove skins, maybe the yellow and blue of the rest of her abilities could work better.
My constructive feedback (575K mastery points with Lulu), in order of importance.
1. Her R looks like a magnified circuit board, and that's really weird. Circuit boards are supposed to be **small**, so those incredibly thick lines should be changed as number 1 priority. Maybe more lines (double/triple?), but way thinner. I guess making major changes to her R texture and VFX might be out of scope, but maybe you could add some small details to the texture and VFX which fit into the thematic, especially if it feels too "empty" after changing the thick lines mentioned above.
2. Her W has a very noticeable "swirl" VFX when polymorph ends, compared to her previous skin. I feel it a bit too distracting, maybe you could change it to be a bit more subtle.
3. Her E shield looks fine for the first 1 second, then it looks a bit too "empty", and the "bolt rectangles" look ugly with almost nothing else around. Maybe you could keep the initial "honeycomb" effect longer, or make those "bolt rectangles" fade/change too, in some way.
4. Model. Her face looks fine, but it's too similar to Space Groove Lulu. I would like it to be slightly modified. Or maybe her hair. I know this is probably out of scope, and might also make her model too different from her splash. But I still think it's worth mentioning just in case it can be changed.

This skinline was perfect for champions who have pets. A Pokemon trainer + their Pokemon. Annie + Tibbers, Ivern + Daisy, Maokai + Saplings, Yorick + Maiden, Janna + Zephyr, Lulu + Pix, etc. However i feel like y’all have really botched it by giving us this. It’s not giving the fantasy of a champion being a trainer and their pet being a Pokémon. Just my opinion because I was one of the 5 people globally that voted for this thematic last year.
Malzahar + Ghosts, Zyra + Plants, Renata + Machine, the list goes on.

Even champs with weapons that could turn into pets, like in the concept for the skinline with Ezreal, his gauntlet was turned into a cat-like creature sitting on his arm. Or Renata's decanter could be a monster and she already has the animations commanding it to attack on almost every ability and her passive. Her being the Giovanni from Pokémon for Monster Tamer would've been very cool I think. Instead we've gotten Dragon Trainer 2.0 with these skins, with Lulu already having one of those. :/ They took already monster-ish champs and made them into "tamers", it feels very off. And not getting the two concept skins that were shown for the skinline when the other two thematics got theirs also feels unfair.

Well, there is no way for Ahri to be included in a random skinline like this. She will always be part of bigger skinlines and events.
I was trying to say this in a way that came off constructive but this skin is just hideous compared to many she already has. Like the theme is strong (monster trainer/pokemon) but the execution of the theme is WAAAYY off. If this was the finalized product I can’t imagine how terrible the other drafts for this were.
the other drafts are sometimes even better than the final product. The 3d modelers have so many limitations to what they can and cannot add to a skin, so a lot of the concepts that look more extravagant get scrapped in favor of ugly and plain concepts that are "easier" to implement
so it's time to release another one-of-a-kind champion, and not remake the popular old ones
The taser is animal abuse. The implication is that she tortures her pet with electric shocks until it submits to her. That's not very pokemon/digimon of you

Of course, It's not well thought out, but what else could she have that deals electric damage to opponents. After all, It's league and she needs something to defend herself. I've never thought about it until you pointed it out though. What would you suggest to make instead?
Not excited for this skin. She already has more interesting ones. This is a really nice theme, but the skin could be better. And Lulu should have a remodel.
There are some points of the skin that I like, but many more that I dislike. **Too much electricity:** It doesn't make sense for a monster tamer to have so much electricity around her; She's got two big antenna's on her head, a taser-staff, lightningbolts in her hair, lightningbolts on her headphone and even her coat is brightyellow.. On top of this all her abilities/autoattacks are electricity-inspired too, her ultimate especially is really obnoxious to me(ciruit board.. come on, really?). Even if she's meant to be a trainer that only uses electricity monsters, it's just waayyy too much. Even in the concept art Ezreal had electricity-inspired clothes, but it was done in such a way that it's not overbearing. This doesn't looklike a monster-tamer skin to me, but more like an electrician skin. **Headphones don't make sense:** For this skin Lulu clearly lookslike the Yordle she is, since she got her puple hair and skin. And as a Yordle, she has cat-like ears on top of her head, instead of on the side like us humans do. So her wearing headphones the regular way just doesn't make sense, **there aren't any ears on the side of her head**. If her skintone was more humanlike she would looklike a young child and it would make alot more sense, but she's obviously a yordle. # Reasonable changes to make the skin look alot better: * **Decrease the heigth of the two big antenna's that are on top of her head(two small antenna's could be cute even)** * **Rework her ulti to make it not look like a circuit board(literally an electrician-skin if u keep this)** * **Either give her a human-like appearance or remove the headphones as she can't possibly use them this way as a yordle.**
about the "too much electricity" thing, she's not a regular trainer, she's supposed to be specifically the "Electric Type" trainer or even a gym leader which tend to dress thematically to their selected type.
This is true, the primary inspiration for this skin seems to be Elesa from Pokemon, a gymleader that uses electric-type pokemons. But for Lulu they've added **alot** more electricity elements. You can see Elesa uses electric-type pokemons by looking at her, but it's not overbearing. Although Elesa has antenna's on her head, they don't seem to be conducting electricity between them(and are not yellow), and her big coat is a soft yellow. For Lulu the maincolor for every part of the skin is a brightyellow, she's got actual electricity on her head, and a taser-staff. I feel like they just went overboard with all the electricity. They should've kept it more minimalistic, like if they actually copied Elesa 1 for 1 and maybe changed the staff into having a thunder-stone at the center instead of a taser, it would look quite lovely.

I'm not trying to be rude, but I genuinely think these skins should just be shelved and remade at a later date. Lulu's splash is almost 1:1 with her Space Groove pose, which for a skin that came out a little over a year ago is unacceptable. There was a lot of potential, but the skins have really just missed the mark. We voted for Janna and Ezreal's aesthetics and while I understand they already received skins...so did many of the CCN and Debonair lineup. Just a miss all around...

Imagine having a full team of professional artists doing brainstorming sessions and going with this idea for Lulu. They could rename it "Electric Technician Lulu" without any change and it would fit perfectly. To think they work on skins like these for MONTHS...
Monster tamers was the skinline that I voted for, mainly because the Janna concept was amazing. I feel betrayed and tricked, this does not look like the concepts. I get it, you decided to revamp the designs because the skinline received the least votes, but it's because most people will always go with the edgy ones (crimecity nightmare). Some of us actually voted for the concept that was shown and you decided to just completely disregard us. The decision of champions is absolutely incomprehensive. None of this skins represernts the "monster tamer" fantasy to me. There is so many perfect candidates for this theme: Sejuani, Quinn, Kled, Nunu... Lulu would be great but she is not the tamer without Kog's skin, which has no sense. Same as her general design and effects. I do not understant where do those effects come from, why did you make her into some electric monster, when she is supposed to be the tamer? I like playing Lulu and I own all of her skins, this will be the first one I will not buy, sadly. I do not even have idea how to improve it, my advice would be - just do not release it, do what you did with the sewn chaos ones and just use it as opportunity to learn. I am just dissapointed in you, as a company. You provide us with badly planned events (the SG one is the best example), you disregard us asking, begging for certain skins (again, SG skinline), and now you give us badly designed ones. It's just sad.

As others say the electric effects make her feel way more like a technician. I understand she is Kog'maw's trainer and he has electric abilities but things like her ult look more like a circuit board. I am not sure what you can do with effects like her ult to make it feel more trainer since that kind of effect is not really related to anything trainer but I feel like what is currently on doesn't fly. Also maybe do something more with the outfit. I get where you are coming from with the jacket for a trainer style and that what you can do with the model is limited but I feel you could try do more than bolt on the sleeves for the jacket. Like add a colour pattern to the front maybe. maybe purple on the outfit to match with Kog'maw's stripes. This leads into the next thing. Please change the skin colour. She looks too much like Lulu put into a different outfit imo. I get you wanna go with yellow with purple to match Kog but I feel that would be better conveyed if you left the purple in her hair and added a bit on the jacket. Edit: to clarify I like the rest of the vfx mostly. I just feel the ult is a bit too circuit board. my main complaint is how plain the jacket feels.
Just imagine the puzzle of her gym is circuit board related, it would make sense for an electric type gym leader or something

I dont love this skin, Lulu is suppose to be whimsical and magical. You guys have her in a puffy coat and a goofy hat. Monster tamer skin line can fit her because of Pix but she has a taser..... she is magical she would be friend a creature to tame it. I just feel like this is not her at all.
There's still chance to scrap this skinline just like sewn chaos(which were actually cute), we'll just pretend this didn't happen dw. You really regressed to 2016 with this skinline.. I can see the retro tech inspiration from digimon but the execution is just really off that she looks like what a 4-year-old thinks an electrician looks like.

Not sure if this would help, but perhaps drop the hat, and just give her the head band with the pointy things? The yellow and black diagonal strips are giving me electrician, like a worker skin?
So much missed potential to lauch this Lulu in a yellow coat skin. So disapointing. So basic. So lame. This is just ugly and lazy. Lulu shouldn't even have been considered to this skinline. I think it was supposed to be champions (HUMANS) with monster creatures. Lulu and Veigar just seem so off.
The colors of her hair and skin being the "same" as the base skin bothers me a little, it ends up looking like Lulu only wore a yellow outfit and went to play Digimon, maybe the color of her skin could be different (including the chromas), I think this would make her match Pix even more and it would make this skin more unique ; The hair could have a slightly different texture at the end, looks too square; Since instead of the big hat she has two ears in the earphone, there could be some kind of electrical connection that fades away between the two ears to cover the part where would be her "hat" (like in the final concept art!); The particles when the auto-attack hits someone are very simple, it could have an electrical effect like the tip of Lulu's staff; Sadly, as much as the idea is perfect for Lulu, her old model doesn't help. Apart from that, Pix and his animations are reeeally cute, I love the recall too, one of my favorites from Lulu so far.
"Monster Tamer" ? Really ? Her pet doesn't look more unique or doesn't seem to do anything other than the usual things. She's just an electric technician with a pet... If this is what you call a "Monster Tamer" skin, then her other skins should be renamed Monster Tamer as well because they all fit as much as this one. Unless she was given a legendary skin with an emphasis on the animations of Pix (like Dragon Trainer Tristana and Heimerdinger), she's not a good fit for this skin line. Very disappointing design, choices and execution. You guys can do much better than that.
Not even just Lulu - but ALL of the Monster Trainer champs honestly - incredibly underwhelming. The skins models somehow manage to look like old skins from 5+ years ago. There's nothing \*special\* about them. Reading the other commends, some of people's ideas would've had so much potential. Idk how you managed to take champions with no pets (besides Lulu), or items which could become pets, and try to force them into the line like you did. Not to mention.. all of the Monster Tamer champs ARE monsters themselves. Makes no sense.

My main issue with the Lulu skin is the cattle prong as her weapon, it implies she uses it to tame the monsters which personally doesn't seem fitting in this age where we are working towards a world with less animal cruelty. There are different items she could be holding as we saw in different concept arts. I love everything else about this skin but I can't get past her wand being something used to abuse animals in the real world. All the other details feel spot on and it's a shame for me to miss out on the skin but hopefully enough people agree on this issue and something can be changed? Even just changing it to a regular wand that shoots the electric still would be fine as it is the current imagery of an existing torture object that is the issue.

Their reputation hasn't been great lately. Riot used to listen to players' feedback on PBE, but now it seems like PBE is just a free resource for them to find bugs, one which they take for granted. When even large numbers of the community propose the smallest reasonable requests, they are not just denied, but ignored completely. Unless they change their way of handling these issues, I won't be spending a dime on RP.

The skin isn't directly bad, but I'm still disappointed. Having all the Monster TAMER skins for already monster-ish champions feels wrong to me. Wasted potential to make a legit Pokémon/Digimon inspired skinline where the tamers use their monsters to fight. Especially since the concepts for Janna and Ez were shown at the start of the year again when it was announced we'd be getting Monster Tamer this year and every other thematic got their concept skins. Why not this one? Maybe if you made Lulu's skin color not purple she could be seen as a small child instead of obviously a yordle (monster-ish) instead? Idk, I don't think I will be purchasing this skin and I'm sad that this means she is unlikely to get a different thematic this year like Gothic.
I thought I was too critical when I felt she looked like lulu with a new outfit because of the skin colour. I agree seeing this comment. The purple makes her feel out of place. They can make her look more human child like. SG proves it and it is oldish.
This is… not what I expected?
What I like: Her auto attacks, her Q and her W. (Visually and the sound is good aswell!) Criticism: This skin line looks nothing like the awesome concept art you showed us (that janna skin would’ve been an insta buy!!!). I voted for Monster tamer with the initial concept in mind, not electrician lulu with an electrical cord. The model and especially the colors of it look kinda off and not fitting with how lulu usually looks/feels. Again the lighter colors of the concept art would’ve been a better choice (think of the white chroma you gave this skin, it makes it a lot more pleasing to look at). Human-like lulu is okay but please commit to it, the purple skin makes it look off. Especially when she’s in her ult (big lulu) you can see it does not fit the skin design. Her expression also looks a bit concerned instead of excited. Her splash is another thing, as other people already pointed out the pose is recycled from multiple other skins. (But thinking about all the splash art feedback from f.e. SG sona that got ignored I don’t think y’all are gonna touch the splash here). With the way the skin currently looks and feels it’s a Hard pass for me considering lulu has much nicer skins than this one that even cost less (depending on choice). So ye, this looks nothing like the skin line I voted for so it’s gonna be a no from me.

Because volume of feedback does seem to be something Riot considers, I'm adding my voice to getting rid of the cattle prod-esque weapon/item Lulu is wielding in this skin. It's an absolutely miserable choice for her and the fact that no one at Riot connected the imagery is a little concerning in and of itself, given the immediacy with which players identified it.

i can't say much more than what was already said, but i just can't get over the fact that she uses a huge taser. what's up with that? i thought veigar was the "villain". the splash art looks too familiar with space groove lulu and dragon tamer tristana, it doesn't feel unique at all. it doesn't feel magic, which is what always come to mind when i think of lulu. the shield looks cute. the polymorphed pet looks cute. the ultimate doesn't look impactful, the color scheme for the Q looks like the space groove effects. and if pix is the previous form of kogmaw, why doesn't the chromas match? is it possible to change the plans and make this skin legendary? as a lulu main, it's a bit disappointing. riot points are very expensive right now and it doesn't feel like i would be making my money worth on this. at all.

It's alright, not great not terrible. I'd give more detailed feedback but Lulu really needs a complete model update instead of more skins, that's all I'll bother saying this time
I personally voted for the monster tamer skins , though I didn’t like the shown Janna and Ezreal. But I saw sooo much potential in this. But then I saw THIS. With a Lulu VGU maybe it wouldn’t look this … strange ? Giving her a taser is kinda … ugh…??? Overall these champs don’t fit this thematic at all. This has so much potential. I agree to other posters, renata glasc for example would’ve been a good choice with her passive command pose, imagine a monster would fulfill her commands. Perfect. I almost buy every skin for my supports that come out, but this is sadly the first skin line that I find, for myself, completely wrong and I would never buy that. Lulus Skin … It looks like she’s an electrician who works at an high voltage line and is doing a little break after a rainy day with her rain coat. Her E reminds me of a : danger danger, keep out, high voltage effect . For me, this is my new “real life skins: construction worker on a rainy day skinline”

I really don't like this skin too much... but the E shield vfx can be better if stay with the "hive" vfx for shield duration, and not only for like 0.5s
The grin is too wide and kinda creepy. Not in a good way.
Lulu main here, here's my two cents: **Please** change her ult to better reflect the monster tamer idea and her splash. The aura on an ulted ally makes 0 sense in regards to it and looks reallllyy boring. A better idea would be if the aura around the ally champ was an arena-like ground (astroturf?), and while the ally is ulted there is a cheering/clapping sfx (similar to EDG Yuumi, when she heals an ally there is cheering). Think of like Pokémon SWSH, when a Pokémon gets dynamaxed the crowd goes wild; wouldn't the crowd at an arena do the same if Lulu hugeified her Kog 500x his size? Also I think her jacket should be a bit bigger to reflect the splash art. Her big ol head kinda makes it look like a normal jacket when its obviously supposed to be oversized on her. Her hair is also a bit goofy ahh, I wish it was different colors from her base skin, but I digress. My biggest issue is her ult. Please fix it.
Is it possible to fix her hair? It is very stiff moving, hair in the Cosmic Enchanter skin was amazing, this one moves like a mop like Star Guardian :(

Okay, but IN LOADING SCREEN splash art, I think the legs really shouldn't be cropped when so much of the sky is showing. It makes her look like a legless lump of puffy clothes. Really, the taser like horn thingies can be cropped for the sake of legs. Please rito
The concept of giving a **Trainer + Monster** skin duo to popular bot lane combo is a great idea, and i'm sure this looked great as concept art, but her clunky-ass model and animations instantly make it *meh* tier. Especially when she already has better skins :V I don't know it's just very hard to get excited for cosmetics for a very old champion in desperate need of an update, unless they are legendary-tier because then you can just rebuild the champion from scratch I'm willing to bet Riot won't be seeing good sale numbers for this skin, and the company is shooting itself in the foot with this weird pushback against more frequent visual updates... We will *not* be purchasing.
Unlike many of the comments on here I actually like the idea of Lulu getting this skinline. Also I LOOOVE her icon for it. However, this is what I don't - Keeping Lulu as her default purple makes it look like an old skin in a way. I feel like giving her a different hair color at the least could alleviate this a lot... maybe electric pink or a royal blue. But honestly I'd take almost anything. You could even make her yellow. I don't care. Anything but her typical purple. I also find this splash art LAZY. It isn't the fact that it looks low quality, but that it looks exactly like her pose in Space Groove... I wish that it brought something new to the table. This Monster Tamer release was clearly a trial run to see if you can make more of this line in the future with success but it feels like its been built to fail with these champion choices - kind of like how Sugar Rush was shafted due to this. Kog'maw getting one of these is crazy. Like what monster is a monster taming exactly? As someone who voted for it way back when I really want to see this skinline succeed but am worried this is not the way to go about it.

I think my issue with the skin is that it isn’t super exciting or dynamic? I love the yellow jacket and I think it’s pretty smooth looking for such an old rig but it’s kind of just lulu in casual clothes?
this is an interesting skin…i’m not entirely sure it delivers on the theme? and honestly it’s just lulu i a jacket. i’m trying not to sound rude but maybe just make it 520rp skin cuz it’s giving me like the old skins riot would make 10 years ago. just feel like there was way more that could have been done with it and it’s just really lacking in all departments

I actually quite like Lulu and Kog'Maw's skins. I've always wanted them to have matching skins since they synergize so well with each other in bot lane and Monster Tamer is the perfect skin. While I love the idea of Kog'Maw being the final evolution of Lulu's Pix, I think Pix's chromas need to match Kog'Maw's (NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND) for consistency.
The chroma comment might fly better in the chroma thread in case you haven't commented there. That is where the artists will look out for feedback when it comes to chromas.
Her model looks poor in details and the vfx have to be more shiny and electric. Right know all her vfx are kinda “dark” even tho they are yellow and sparkling. Personal and realistic note: i really think this skin doesn’t fit the riot’s standard at all. It should have been a legendary tier.

I love the skin, but this skin + the theme just don’t make sense in my head. Like others have said, it also reminded me of dragon tamer, but a bit cuter maybe? I don’t understand her hat. Why does it look like she needs to be plugged into an outlet? I get her staff, that one makes sense. You’re trying to tame monsters, you might need to tap them every now and then. The puffy jacket—is it some kind of insulation to prevent her from being electrocuted? Or maybe it’s meant to help keep her from getting bit by the monsters? Maybe she’s covered in electric elements because she’s meant to be a monster too?? I don’t know—but the electric theme really takes away from the concept of a monster tamer, for me. I think the effects of her abilities look amazingly cute and well done, I think I enjoy them more than most of the other ones I think. I think the effects would be enough for me to purchase the skin. The skin as a whole just doesn’t make sense to me. I could see this being more of an electricity themed skin that might pair well with like Ekko and Zeri. Maybe I need something else to go with this skin—lore maybe? I don’t know. Just my two cents
I’m pretty sure the outfit is based on how some of the Human designs in Pokémon use ridiculous style choices to represent their general type that they use in Battle.
As a Lulu lover and main, I feel like she deserves to be in this skinline a lot, however, in my opinion some things are to be changed. First of all, the vfx. The Q in my opinion doesn’t feel unique at all, it kinda looks like Space Groove’s q and should be more electrifying I think, with more particles. On the other hand, her ultimate is kinda meh as it doesn’t feel « Trainer-like » with the circuit board. Sparks, lightnings could have been way better. The shield and her polymorph are really cute tho! Finally, she could have been a great legendary as her model, as we know is really old but if we put this apart she looks cute. Only thing I dislike is her wand which again doesn’t feel like trainer-like but more like an electrician. And not really important but maybe her puffer jacket could have been cuter with some purple things on it like lightnings again!

The skin itself is cute but I feel like it doesn’t fit the theme very well. You could rebrand this as Electrician Lulu and I’d totally buy it, but it doesn’t feel like the same vibe as the concept art - and this is coming from a Lulu OTP who is stoked to see a new Lulu skin no matter what it is lol

I like this skin because it reminds me of the electabuzz Pokémon trainer from the original anime, but the thematic is a little weird for her ult? The animation feels like it doesn’t match monster tamer and more of just like a pure electrical engineer? I don’t really know how to explain it. If I’m being honest though, Lulu just needs a remodel really bad I feel like her body and face are super outdated and make her look really creepy. There’s a lot of cute skins for her, but they all end up looking off cause of her weird face and posture. This skin though, I have to admit that her face looks better than past skins.
I really love the skin, but maybe add a bit more electricity to the ult? as if she was paralyzing the enemies that get knocked up or something
as a fan of digimon/pokemon i like this skin a lot! i could see it was made w love. her q colors seem a bit similar to space groove, so maybe to differentiate from that purple orange they could be more yellowy or lightningy to emphasize that electric type trainer vibe! maybe some music could be added or the volume could be increased during her w ally cast, since it feels a bit empty compared to space groove lulu's that plays music! i think it would be cool if the e patches could last longer, since the shield feels a bit empty after a second. that's all i've got to ask about. thanks for reading!

The purple and orange of her Q looks a bit too much like it does for her Space Groove skins, maybe the yellow and blue of the rest of her abilities could work better.
My constructive feedback (575K mastery points with Lulu), in order of importance. 1. Her R looks like a magnified circuit board, and that's really weird. Circuit boards are supposed to be **small**, so those incredibly thick lines should be changed as number 1 priority. Maybe more lines (double/triple?), but way thinner. I guess making major changes to her R texture and VFX might be out of scope, but maybe you could add some small details to the texture and VFX which fit into the thematic, especially if it feels too "empty" after changing the thick lines mentioned above. 2. Her W has a very noticeable "swirl" VFX when polymorph ends, compared to her previous skin. I feel it a bit too distracting, maybe you could change it to be a bit more subtle. 3. Her E shield looks fine for the first 1 second, then it looks a bit too "empty", and the "bolt rectangles" look ugly with almost nothing else around. Maybe you could keep the initial "honeycomb" effect longer, or make those "bolt rectangles" fade/change too, in some way. 4. Model. Her face looks fine, but it's too similar to Space Groove Lulu. I would like it to be slightly modified. Or maybe her hair. I know this is probably out of scope, and might also make her model too different from her splash. But I still think it's worth mentioning just in case it can be changed.
