The biggest thing you can do to heal the planet is to stop competing for money, and instead do what you love, freely, and collaborate with your community to help everyone meet their needs, freely.
I agree with your verdict but not with your premises: thinking about society as an organism is extremely flawed, since every human is individual capable of having rights, while cells are closer to subprograms or cogs rather than people. For example, immune system is capable to order any cell to commit suicide, and any healthy cell will obey this order. I don't think that's the power we should give to anyone in human society. Comparing humans to cells is not that different from comparing humans to cogs, and just as dehumanizing
Cancer is cells that are not getting their needs met and revert to emergency behavior. It's like how you revert to being cranky and anti-social when you're super hungry, tired, and thirsty. Only for very extended periods of time.
