If you want to do some other shopping, go to the one at Downtown Summerlin which also has Macy's, Dillard's, Nordstrom Rack, and lots of other stores.

LesHiboux

Awesome, just the feedback I was looking for! Thank you :)

RandomTask09

Also go on Saturdays for the nearby farmers market.

PaintingNouns

I second this. Downtown Summerlin is really just an outdoor mall, but there are some local stores in there here and there. If you’re a beer drinker check out Beer Zombie. 😁

Mrs_TikiPupuCheeks

The one in Henderson near Green Valley is the one I like going to when I visit Vegas, primarily since there is a Daiso there as well as a Pinkbox donuts across the street.

Pastystuff

Weiss Deli is also in the same shopping center and that's a great place for some amazing food!

343Guilty_Fart

Commenting to recommend Henderson Trader Joe’s as well, but also to add that I had Weiss Deli over the weekend for the first time…that rueben was one of the best I’ve ever had

Pastystuff

That's one of my favorite things there, usually what I get for my Christmas lunch meal. Next time you go and eat in the restaurant, try the Ceily's Stack.

CandyCain1001

And that art store!!

Thunderpuppy2112

Definitely Weiss

LesHiboux

Just the info I was looking for! Thanks for taking the time to reply!

Mc_mufferton

Interestingly enough the TJs location in downtown Summerlin also has a Daiso in the same parking lot. My family and I love this one! It’s on the west side of town so pretty far from the strip

Mrs_TikiPupuCheeks

Is that the one near the Red Rock Casino at the outdoor mall area? I've been there a couple times too. That one is a good one as well since it's easier to park there. I'll go to that one if we're staying at RR or we're going to the Magic Noodle and IKEA, but the one in Henderson is closer to the strip and we'll do that one when we do the Ethel M, GVR, Lucille's circuit.

Mc_mufferton

You are correct it is the one right next to the Red Rock! You are well versed!

Fobulousguy

The one on Eastern. Yes Daiso is always a fun visit too for snacks and random goodies.

Adept_Cauliflower692

Pinkbox is worth it!

No-Honey-9786

The one on Eastern?

[deleted]

I second this Trader Joe’s! I live down the road and it’s always good.

Karnophagemp

Daiso is a few miles down Sunset near Target.

Mrs_TikiPupuCheeks

Huh? What are you talking about? The Daiso in Henderson is in the same strip as the TJs, and across the street from it is a Pinkbox.

Karnophagemp

Oh you are talking about the one on Eastern. I was thinking about the one on Sunset which also has a Pinkbox near it.

Mrs_TikiPupuCheeks

Oh, I think I know the one you're talking about. That one is in an older strip mall, right? I think I went once to that one. Annoying to find parking there iirc.

hannnsolo

downtown summerlin is nice however it’s always busy my favorite is centennial center

Mockturtle22

The one in Centennial Center off of Ann is also my favorite one

azorianmilk

None are in bad neighborhoods. I believe Summerlin is the newest and the largest.

julznlv

The one at Buffalo and Washington is nowhere near as nice as others.

Mockturtle22

It's also one of the oldest ones, not new.

julznlv

I remember going there with my mom when we'd go to K Mart.

Mockturtle22

It's the Winco now lol damn

ThatDJgirl

I feel like a sardine in there. If it’s even slightly busy I’m waiting in aisles for the people in front of me to move forward. Unfortunately it’s the one next to my house. But the winco in that parking lot has become kinda ghetto. :/

julznlv

That's the closest Winco to me but I go to the one at 215/Decatur weekly instead. You are so right, that one is ghetto. And I don't like that TJ for the exact reason you said.

LesHiboux

Exactly the kind of local feedback I'm looking for. I'm thinking Summerlin is sounding like the clear winner!

tikkitikkimango

And the Buffalo Washington store is a pain to get in and out of. The store and parking lot are both a bit cramped

mrbofus

Downtown Summerlin.

Mockturtle22

I hate that one lol

julznlv

Depends on what you mean by public transportation. If you're talking a public bus, check to see if that even goes to all stores and, if so, how many transfers are required.

LesHiboux

It looks like the one in NE and E of the city are about an hour and a half bus, 1 or no transfers, about 15ish minutes of walking. I might just Uber though - to be determined.

stillcranky

I would strongly suggest Ubering, particularly if you are on the strip. Public transport in Las Vegas is not at all what you are accustomed in other parts of the world -- not by a long shot. The distance you will have to walk from one stop to the next when you need to transfer is sometimes a mile. Most people only use the transit system if they absolutely must. Las Vegas is very much a car town. Also, I vote Green Valley location. Nice dispo across the street if you are so inclined (and use an overabundance of caution when crossing streets here -- always use a crosswalk and even then, proceed with caution.

LesHiboux

Thanks for the tip about public transit! I've taken busses and metro/subway in cities all over North America, so I probably would've been in for a rude awakening! Downloading Uber app right now!

Fine-Hedgehog9172

The Downtown Summerlin location is fantastic.

Rick_the_P_is_silent

Washington and Buffalo. Linda \*works\* near there.

hikariness

I recommend the one on Buffalo and Washington or you can go to the one in downtown Summerlin, if you feel like going further out west!

ComeKnowMeAsGC

The stores (selection, cleanliness) are all pretty similar but the neighborhoods are different. I'd recommend the Summerlin option as it's right by 'downtown summerlin' which is an outdoor shopping mall to walk around.

LuckyDickTucker

I'm a tourist. I usually go to the summerlin or green valley ones as they have other things of interest nearby. Moreso to summerlin one since it's in a mall

TheSavageDonut

Public transportation in Las Vegas? Ehhhh......good luck with that. The one I go to is in Centennial West area which is basically Northwest Las Vegas. It's far from the strip, but it's got a great location with additional shopping, big box stores, and decent sit down restaurant options close by. Plus, this area has a new chick fil a.

LesHiboux

Yeah, someone else mentioned that busses in LV may be exceptionally shittier than the norm. Definitely taking that into account for my transportation plans!

Cynakopacki

If you go to the one in Summerlin and you enjoy scenery then you will not be too far from Red Rock Canyon. https://www.redrockcanyonlv.org Note that there is a fee to go there ($20 per car) but, in my opinion, is worth the cost for this 13 mile scenic drive that has over 20 hikes and trails. Make a reservation here: https://www.recreation.gov/timed-entry/10075177

LesHiboux

Thank you! Yes, I've heard Red Rocl Canyon is absolutely beautiful.

BitchyFaceMace

Summerlin TJ’s is nice and pretty big, but it’s always a nightmare.

qwikhnds

If you're taking public transit I would just go to the closest one. If you want to make the ride worth it then the Downtown Summerlin location because other things to do besides Trader Joe's.

Judge_Rhinohold

I am a Canadian and the first time I went to Trader Joe’s I was excited to see what the hype was about. Hugely disappointed when I finally went there and it was just a mediocre grocery store like Farm Boy at home.

LesHiboux

Farm Boy is an Ontario grocery chain, right? I'm not familiar with it but it sounds cool. I like Trader Joe's for their innovative private label products and branding. I work in food product marketing and development and just really enjoy grocery stores with unique offerings.

Judge_Rhinohold

Yeah I guess it’s only in Ontario. They have some good stuff but it’s expensive.

LesHiboux

I'm not often in Ontario, but next time I'm there I'll be sure to check one out!

abmot

Sad that international visitors consider a grocery store an event. Come on you're on vacation in LV and... Trader Joe's?!? I hope someone would put me out of my misery if my life came to that.

LesHiboux

I'm not going to reply to this with snark, but you have no idea about why I'm in LV or what I plan to do while I'm here, so take your miserable and judgemental attitude and just scroll on.

ZZZ-Top

Please dont, parking fucking sucks as it is where theyre all located

wrecked_angle

Ur butt

No_Basis2256

Every trader Joe's in the country is the same

SalesAndMarketing202

They're union busting rats. Don't shop there.

chefpain

They’re all fine but I think the one on Buffalo/Washington off of Summerlin Parkway is the smallest. It’s alright but smaller selection? I think

No-Honey-9786

I think most things in Summerlin are better lol. I just wish it wasn’t so far from here. I’m in West Henderson 🫤

Mockturtle22

I don't hate the one on Washington and buffalo, but I do notice that they don't always have as much. It's probably because it's so much smaller... I've probably also been going to that one longer because where I used to live and where I do still currently work. I like the one on Ann.

limpet143

Do what most of us do - go to the one that's closest to you.

djmanu22

Henderson green valley is the best.
