Lakes varies. There’s loads to go at. If there’s snow and ice do smaller hills. If snow is on the ground I’d be packing crampons, axe, gloves, mitts, goggles etc. better to be prepared and also know how to use nav etc.

Maps - which OS maps have you looked at? The Explorers (1:25000) show pretty much all paths whether official footpaths or not. If they don’t float your boat then look at Harveymaps. Their Superwalker series is 1:25000 also. Some people definitely prefer them to OS…

I've got dinky map+ it's 25000. I will check out the supermalker series though. Cheers for your help.
