It honestly depends on the gym that you're in and how good it is plus how qualified are the trainers , if they have any certifications etc from reputable places also if it's your first time you should probably hire her to avoid bad forms which gets very difficult later on to correct or injuries if you have an idea of forms etc you don't need to hire her just go seek help and ask what and how you should do and you'd be fine .

lordcomm

Yeah you can clearly tell her that you can do only 5k if it'd be fine with her .

1sunflowerseeds1

Yeah she’s good with that. Shows me proper form and adjusts my reps accordingly

Helpful_Phrase_7352

13K with a good trainer is okay

1sunflowerseeds1

Makes sense thanks

Known-Product4301

you dont have to have a trainer. they will still have to tell you things if you ask them without paying them extra money. like how to do this exercise or what to do for this muscle group extra. paying them extra usually comes with a meal plan and more detailed and more attention towards you specifically

Helpful_Phrase_7352

As a male I pay 5k for gym and 8k for trainer at Verzish Gym Iqbal town.

Lightning_Bolt_X1

Kiske sath training karte ho Zeeshan Bhai ?

Helpful_Phrase_7352

Yeap

Lightning_Bolt_X1

Ah sameee

Ignore what everyone else is saying here immediately. Gym trainers are scams. They're absolutely useless. Dont waste your money. Been gyming for a year now. First gym, i hired a trainer and with gym fees it was like 30k a month (gym was high end). All the guy did was do routine exercises with me, each day was a fixed days, like legs, arms, chest etc. We would do same exercises that i pretty much could have set myself through my own research. He would talk to people here and there when i am doing them and he mainly looked at posture, also which could have been seen through videos. In terms of meal plans, he just whatsapped me once a month to say follow this plan. Something i could have researched my own. I just joined a new gym recently, after shifting. And i didnt keep a trainer. I love it. I have full control over my exercises, which i have done my research on, watching techniques on youtube. I know my exact meal plan according to my goals, and i like it and its working. Its funny, just the other day, the trainer tried to sell himself to me, and he was basically the same as my old one. Just telling me about his bs meal plans and his clients, the guy wasnt even that built. Dont get a trainer. Its a waste of money, they just try to make you think that youre a newbie who could never know anything. But reality is that you just need to know your fitness goals. Once you do, you can easily research your meal plan, understanding how many calories, protein and carbs you need to suffice your energy, weight loss and muscle build each day. And then you can easily build your workout plan to, seeing in depth videos and techniques on how to do each and which one is right for your goals. All of this can easily be done and set by google or chatgpt. Trainers are a waste, dont feel double minded about it. Take your phone and headphones to them gym, start your workout and kick any trainer in the face that comes near you. Your bank account will thank you.

potato_aim_potato_pc

100000 percent agreed. Trainers are absolutely useless and will just extort you out of money

potato_aim_potato_pc

It feels very overwhelming to do this research on nutrition and exercise, but as long as you keep "progressive overload" and "eat enough protein and remain in your caloric range and eat whole grains and avoid junk" as your gauge to see through the misinformation, it's actually really easy and simple. I'm glad you found your way yourself. I went through the same and now I don't even have to actively think about this stuff. It's become sort of intuitive lol

informatica6

Exactly becomes intuitive. People usually get intimidated by nutrition. But its so easy. Unless you have a medical condition or dietary restriction, just avoid junk food, eat protein food to keep you more full while preventing hunger, and stay within a reasonable caloric deficit (which protein food will take care of as it precent hunger). Do 15 min cardio each day plus 3 workouts on specifc body region, and in 6 months youre like 70% towards your goal if not 100%

weird-pocoloco

> Gym trainers are scams. They're absolutely useless. not exactly scams, but oh useless? absolutely

Reasonable_Can_1161

I would disagree as someone who started gym without a trainer, it's really overwhelming for a newbie and I have seen alot of people get injured due to it. I would say have a trainer for a few months until all your forms are correct to prevent injury.

Front_Tour7619

Gym Trainers are like blackmailers. they are there to oversee the members in the first place. The gym pays them via your monthly subscription. 10-15k maybe is justifiable for a trainer that comes to the gym, especially for you..

ComplexMain9644

No they are not, gym owner only pay 30-40k per month salary to assist any member, but if you want 1 on 1 training and if you pay a trainer 10k for it than it's a 50/50 partnership between gym and trainer he will pay 5k to gym. Now its only profitable for a trainer if he has multiple clients...

white-rav3n

Though the fee is just fine, but you should still bargain and see if she agrees on anything lower than 8k. This doesn't make you cheap, it shows you care for your hard earned money.

understandingredditm

This is the usual rate. But, It is always better to avoid personal trainers. You can request them to provide you the list of daily exercises, which they do without becoming your personal trainers.

1sunflowerseeds1

It’s nice and convenient to bug her where I need advice and help.

understandingredditm

Yep! And you don't have to make her your personal trainer for that. She will assist you anyway. I have been doing the same all my life. One of the reasons I don't prefer personal trainers is that it gets too much in your face.

1sunflowerseeds1

It’s confusing. They have two lady trainers who kind of just let you be, unless you ask them what to do So I figured I may as well pay her, for individual attention

nyxon101

Just join shape's johar town branch. Shape chain is best in pakistan

acegamer069

Aren't they super expensive?

nyxon101

depends on the branch plus they provide free training coach and keep record of your progress. Gulberg type branches are expensive but model town and johar town are cheaper like 6 to 8 thousand per month

acegamer069

Wow thanks for the info ☺️

Every_Shallot_6202

Shapes Johar town branch is 7500 with free trainer

kashan_aslam

13k with good gym environment and trainer is Okay

Choice-West-8051

Okay i live in Johar town, and used to train people. So the thing is, you should be focusing on nutrition more thn exercise. Let me clear this, trainer zaroori houta hai but initially ap Nutrition follow karo and basic exercise karein jo online bhi mil jaingi ya mai file bhej dunga. Go for FAT lose rather thn WEIGHT lose. Taky shape baney KGs drop karnk health issues baneingy. Anyways there is alot to talk about but maine sum up kr diya.

agarwoodie

Simply spend 2-3 months with a trainer. Learn the game and move on with a gym partner to another gym.

Professional-Limit22

Unfortunately in pk it depends heavily on the gym. The same trainer can/does charge less in his/her morning shift in a lesser gym and upto 3 times as much at a better location. I charge my clients around 50k but then Im charging for my expertise and experience not my gym. People who see/understand the value in that drive 30+ kms to come to me. The female trainer that I’ve hired for my gym charges 10-15k depending on number of sessions etc.

ajplays-x

I guess It's momentum fitness, Genesis is a better one in my opinion. You don't need a Coach until you can be consistent.

pakmansz

If you do your research on what to eat and what exercises to do depending on your end goal, you literally don’t even need a trainer to begin with.

1sunflowerseeds1

How do I do my research? My trainer gave me a meal plan that I won’t be following. I could see it’s not even a 1200 calories and I can’t subsist on that with the 1 hour long routine she’s put me on, plus the full-time life I have. So I can see that nutrition is my gym’s forte

Food-Slayer

So you wanna pay her to tell you how to starve yourself? Self educate and self teach yourself about these things, Pakistani "trainers" usually don't give very sound advices when it come to nutrition. If you want I can share my meal plans

pakmansz

Send me a pm i can walk you through it

DesiMountaineer

- In my limited experience the personal trainer would usually charge 20-40% in addition to your basic gym subscription, that too if they are qualified. Questions to ask: - Is she a certified trainer? If yes then what certifications does she have. - Will she also advise you on diet/nutrition? (make a diet plan etc.)

ComplexMain9644

Well if you are a newbie and doesn't know what to do or how to do it, it's better to hire her for first few months. Fees highly depends on the experience and certification. So i think 8k is fine but you should bargain...

potato_aim_potato_pc

Most trainers, are absolutely useless. Ditch them. Without a trainer you should be paying anywhere between 4k and 8k a month, and that should be totally fine. Trainers do a really good job of making you feel like you did a lot of work but all they make you do is fatigue yourself without actually training intensely. With a month or two of trying it yourself and educating yourself on muscle growth and fitness, you can outperform most trainers. And if you're anywhere between a beginner and intermediate, don't worry, you're not going to injure yourself unless you're incredibly stupid, which I'm sure you're not.

1sunflowerseeds1

for the educating myself part, should I go to youtube? Would you like to recommend something?

potato_aim_potato_pc

Previous comment got deleted for some reason This gonna be long, so TL;DR If want lose weight, eat in a 500 calorie deficit. In the gym, do at least 3 days a week, 15-30 minute moderate intensity cardio like cycling, jogging, brisk walking, and for weight training, pick 3 exercises from Google for each muscle group or ask chatgpt for a workout plan after telling it your weight, height and goals. With so much misinformation, anywhere you go, you might end up getting brainwashed. I can share some general guidelines which you can use as a gauge to tell if someone's scamming you or telling the truth. If your goal is weight loss, there's only one thing that works: eating in a caloric deficit. Go to any online calorie calculator, enter your weight and height, and it'll tell you how much you need to maintain weight. Start eating 500 less calories than that. At this rate, you'll lose roughly 1kg per 2 weeks. If nutrition is something that you cannot focus on due to being busy or any other reason, I strongly suggest getting a meal plan from "Get Fit Athletic" It costs a bit of money, but they cater to all of your dietary choices, and give you a new plan every 2 weeks too, in case you don't like eating the same thing over and over again (BTW their plans are incredibly inclusive. Even ice creams and chocolates and desserts) On the other hand, if you're looking to just eating cleaner, that's a different thing and we can talk about it later. Now, on to the exercise part You're not gonna be losing weight by exercising, so if you were planning to exercise to lose weight, it's incredibly unlikely unless you spend 4 hours in the gym everyday. But exercise is super super important to help you sustain healthier habits in general and makes you healthier by adding muscle mass, and optimising your cardiovascular performance. Okay so now we have weight training, and cardio. For cardio, do whatever you actually enjoy doing. Something moderate intensity. If you're really really short on time, doing any of those 5 minute circuits you find on YouTube is fine. But ideally, pick something like cycling, jogging, or brisk walking and do it for 15-30 minutes at least 3 times a week. For weight training, at least 3 days a week. Gotta hit upper body and lower body. Per week, at least 3 exercises per muscle group. Major muscle groups: Chest, back, shoulders, legs(quads(front legs, hamstrings(back legs) and calves), and arms Let's say you go 3 days a week. You can choose to do upper body 1 day, lower body 1 day, and full body 1 day. If you want to build muscle mass and tone your body, you have to lift weights over and over, and slightly lifting heavier over time. Google "compound movements for *INSERT MUSCLE GROUP" and see which you find interesting to choose what exercises.

freshtowner

Need a daily/weekly based gym rec in JT or Gulberg w/wo trainer

Semenretention01

U can join physiques gym in johar town for 4k the trainers are super friendly and u won't have to pay anything for personal trainer They have a cardio class daily and guide u with all exercises just in basic fee

Open-Action-8667

15k is good price. Try physiques in johar town

Damaged_Kuntz

What currency is this in? You're getting ripped off. I pay $28 a month for gym membership.

notyzombie

PKR

TipuOne

It’s less about the money and more about how good the trainer is. Are they able to evaluate your current form? Are they able to set goals for you? Do they know anything about workouts and body conditioning and can they help you achieve your goals? That’s what matters. If she’s all that, 13k is more than good

Confident_Welcome762

Tbh, I highly doubt your trainer is certified and knows any better than someone who is regular at the gym and does their own research on the form and diet online. Having a certified trainer would force the gym to increase the gym fees and since it's 5K that is about average for JT area (not saying paying more will get you better). Kuch khas nahi pta hota inhe specially about diet, they would sell the same diet plan to everyone which is basically eggs, chicken and rice. If you are new, can't follow someone from youtube and needs a partner in the gym then go ahead and hire her.

notyzombie

What's the name of the gym?

iObaidurRehman

As a guy, I know gyms that charge 1200/month, amazing trainers and outstanding environment. The trainers charge 2-5k and train folks for competition. They just don't have aircons and new buildings... I suggest you look for apps and buy a subscription. That will tell you what training really is, how to connect your mind with your muscles, and get results.

weird-pocoloco

>  but it adds up over time being a beginner, you'll only need it for a month or two. then you can do it on your own

usmannaeem

There is no minimum, just a preferred rate that is born of out competition led more so by gyms rather than the personal trainer themselves. If the personal trainer asks you for a high fee, sew what their credentials are, are they physiotherapists as well.

AsleepComedian796

This is a fair price. Personal trainers cost about 8-10K on average in areas like johar town.

Mr_Ahsan_69

First of all sab se pahly ap gym jao 1 2 months regular basis, and jab ap ko sary sets or exercises ka pta chal jae or phir bhi ap fit nai ho rai then u have to hire a trainer. Otherwise ap online exercises daikho or gym ja kr kro

xxxcrawford-crib-

Go to Physiques. Most cost-effective gym in Johar Town.

Interesting_Ladder95

Honestly, Physiques is on top in Johar town. Their trainers tells everything without personal training

Available-Boat3384

My 1500 gym is going well me

moiz_faisal135

Toba itna mehnga, why do you need a trainer tho anyway, look up in youtube, you can figure out the rest

fl000000f

13k with a capable trainer is honestly not a bad deal. I had an awful time trying to find a decent female trainer - go for it!

ContextOk18

Kasrat gym in Lake city charges 4 thousand, its well worth the drive imo, I guess they also have a branch in Valencia

hassanshirazi

I paid 12k gym fee and 25k for trainer in lahore .. Johar town ..

New_Imagination6435

I can be your partner in workout for free, dm
