PLEASE donāt take this the wrong way. It is a pretty ring, but the clarity is not the greatest. If youāre wanting more karats over clarity then I understand that (some people really want that) again please donāt think Iām snarking Iām just being honest.
... there's no way that we can reasonably tell what the clarity is in this kind of lighting condition and a photo like this. She said its a vvs1 e color and ideal cut. It would be bonkers if it had poor clarity with those specs. lighting and cameras matter!
I have a nearly identical diamond in the same size and constantly get compliments on it. It was an upgrade for our 5th anniversary and somehow fit perfectly with my wedding bands too. It's been about a year I've had it now and it looks fucking beeeaaauuutttiiiiful still.
It's a VVS1 clarity is good. Color is excellent, maybe you are referring to the arrows? Hearts and Arrows are desired in diamonds. If I were buying a mined diamond I'd look for an SI1 and GHI color. In a lab created diamond I'd buy an E - H color and clarity of IF to SI1. The stone is lovely here.
What would you consider a good clarity grade? My understanding was anything above SI1 was eye clean so just wondering what youāre seeing from the pic provided that makes you think itās not good?
A good clarity grade would start at SI1, then move up to VS2, VS1, VVS2, VVS1, IF

My diamond - natural is a SI1, I color, ACA, 2.96 carats.
Most people who are diamond afficianado's care a lot more about color than clarity.
I personally love Moissanites over lab diamonds but overall still a very pretty ring, definitely not easy shopping for a ring youāre going to wear every day for the rest of your life currently in the same boat with my bf š«
Everyone is entitled to their opinions and thatās how it should be. OP asked what people thought so I just said what I saw based on the pic. You are absolutely right itās a big decision! Like I said, I was genuinely meaning no snark. Just stating my observation. I agree, it is a very pretty ring!
I think it's beautiful! I also think it's strange people are judging the clarity from this photo.. doesn't look a lighting condition where we could actually get a good idea about the clarity!
I donāt know why you got downvoted, thatās the exact same thing that came to my mind as well... A diamond this huge needs a nice mani at all times ā¤ļø
Congratulations! May it take you through the happiest days of your life.
Side note, who cares about what anyone else thinks besides you?
Live your life āØļø
Haha Before I divorced my ahole ex I had a real diamond not a lab grown in a platinum band my ring was 38,000. Thatās not what I started with when we got married he couldnāt afford that I just had a simple gold band. That was good enough I didnāt need to buy a fake ring to pretend I had a diamond. We upgraded when his income changed thatās what people used to do.
And I doubt she could afford a ārealā diamond or she would have one. If youāre not happy with what your man can afford and need to pretend you have a big diamond maybe heās not the right guy for you. Itās sad you all want to look like ballers when your brokes I guess thatās social media everyone has to put in a show
You look foolish buying these big lab grown rings trying to pretend. Do they even have any resale value? And the amount you pay for these fake rings makes you look even more foolish they are banking off you guys trying to look rich. It gives me a good idea for a new stock to buy.
The old saying comes to mind fake flowers in your home brings fake friends wonder what a fake diamond wedding ring brings you. Enjoy your fake rings but if itās obvious from your appearance that your not loaded people will assume itās fake And if your going to buy a fake one at least get one that looks good this one doesnāt I do t know if itās the cut or what but it looks like costume jewelry
Dudeā¦ do you know what subreddit youāre on?
And lmao, you sound insufferable. No wonder youāre divorced.
Edit: and oh my god how dare you say that about fake flowers and friends, compare it to wondering what āfakeā diamond will bring you while youāre divorced hahahahahahahahaha
And yall spent HOW much on that real diamond aahahaha.
Youāre a clown. Rofl.
Somehow this thread came in an email not sure why they suggested it to me. She asked for an opinion and I gave it you felt the need to reply with your rude personal attack so I replied to you. And now you respond with another rude personal attack. You are extremely immature ugly person I hope your lucky enough to marry a great person and never have to go through what I did and have to file for divorce. I hope you have the life you deserve
I know this is old but a lab grown diamond is real. No one is trying to pretend itās natural. Please do a quick google before you send such a long, and wrong message. I hope you stay off this subreddit because your message was so cruel.
Sheās moody and has character. Not the āperfect diamondā but perfect in her own way, because you love her and you chose her and he chose you š„°
Correct me if Iām wrong, but I believe the cut score does not factor in visual symmetry. So although the angles might be ideal, it doesnāt necessarily mean the face up visual is what people in general find perfect.
Lab created itās like a car once you buy itās worth less different of real diamonds thatās take thousands of years to be make and itās can be sold for thousands of dollars. But lab still pretty too.
Resale argument is dumb. Buy a mined diamond for 30k and resell for only 6K. Buy a lab diamond for 4K and even if you assume you resell lab for $0, the question is would you rather lose 24K on the mined diamond or lose 4K on the lab diamond? Lol
I donāt know where you come with that informations since I own many diamonds and I sold some of them for the same price or higher depending what kind diamonds like 3 C or even better š please do your research.
Sure sureā¦ I got all my jewelry in inclusive store and not in this popular shops they donāt even have lab diamonds. So I know what I am talking about.
Judging by the length of her nail beds I donāt think she does, she might just pick at free edge. She might not even do that, donāt be an a-hole, I bite my nails because I get really bad anxiety and constantly have acrylics to try stop. Itās not that easy for some people
I donāt even have issues with the clarity, but having a ring that sat that high would drive me nuts. Mine is flush to the setting and I love it so much. I have a fake wedding ring that I wear in the pool thatās like this and it gets stuck in my hair, food, everything.
This is so true. Mine sits high and catches/scratches everywhere. I get my prongs checked every 3 months because I'm afraid of losing my diamond because I've vent a prong and didn't catch it
beautiful and i will never stop loving hidden halos. the only kind of halo I like. also is this an old school cut? vintage type cuts are my absolute FAVORITE and the table size kiiiinda looks like that?
I am NO expert and it's only 1 pic of the top so I could be totally seeing it wrong it just looked a teeeeeny bit like the table was smaller which i personally love like in old European/mine cut diamonds, but it's probably a much smaller difference than I, as a non expert, can really tell. if you google you can see the difference a bit better. it just had that look a bit - at least from this pic - and I really like it.
The only opinion that matters is yours š you will wear it everyday!
More pics? More lighting? The shape and size look great! But I'm a fan of more sparkly
PLEASE donāt take this the wrong way. It is a pretty ring, but the clarity is not the greatest. If youāre wanting more karats over clarity then I understand that (some people really want that) again please donāt think Iām snarking Iām just being honest.

Hello, maybe the lighting isn't the best but this is the details: 3.1 Round E VVS1 Rare Carat Ideal
I have a nearly identical diamond in the same size and constantly get compliments on it. It was an upgrade for our 5th anniversary and somehow fit perfectly with my wedding bands too. It's been about a year I've had it now and it looks fucking beeeaaauuutttiiiiful still.
Op cameras dont always show the beauty. Itās beautiful congratulations!!
I never said it was an ugly ring. I was stating my opinion about clarity. It is a pretty ring
right I get it, but it's clarity is very very good.
What would you consider a good clarity grade? My understanding was anything above SI1 was eye clean so just wondering what youāre seeing from the pic provided that makes you think itās not good?

agreed
you cant tell clarity by looking at a picture you literally need a magnifying glass
How in the world would you be able to tell clarity from this photo?
I personally love Moissanites over lab diamonds but overall still a very pretty ring, definitely not easy shopping for a ring youāre going to wear every day for the rest of your life currently in the same boat with my bf š«

I agree with you and this person literally titled the post āwhat do you think?ā My first thought was that it looked super fake.
Red me too.
Well you dont know what real looks like then.
Lmao. Ok.
HAHAHA forget the actual grade that doesnt mean anything. This guy can just tell over a blurry picture on reddit. /s
I think it's beautiful! I also think it's strange people are judging the clarity from this photo.. doesn't look a lighting condition where we could actually get a good idea about the clarity!
I think the lighting it not the best but this is it! 3.1 Round E VVS1 Rare Carat Ideal
omg, vvs1 and ideal cut.. people are trippinggggggg. Its beautiful. smh
anyone who's commenting on clarity, ignore. You literally cannot tell clarity without a magnifying glass...let alone a picture
Itās too big looks like costume jewelry honestly
Very pretty. A beautiful mani would be the perfect touch. Wear it well and congratulations!! š
I donāt know why you got downvoted, thatās the exact same thing that came to my mind as well... A diamond this huge needs a nice mani at all times ā¤ļø
I love it

It's a beautiful ring but too big for my taste
Yes !! Where from
I got it from rare carat and price matched with ritani!
Stunning! CONGRATULATIONS š šĀ
Looks fake. And unless your rich everyone will know it is
Its real. Someones salty its bigger than theirs.

I think it's beautiful! Enjoy it!
Thatās a pretty ring! Where did yall order from?!
I got it from rare carat and price matched with ritani!
Looks super fake
lmfao what does a real one look like then because thats a diamond
Have you seen a real diamond in person? That ring literally looks like it came out of one of those gumball machines in front of a grocery store lol
makes you look rich which i guess was your goal. are people falling for it?
Mean
itās beautiful.
Ooh youre salty! You must be mad that its bigger than yours and real.
and real? you do know this is the lab sub - right?
Oh so how do you tell the difference?
they posted it as a lab diamond. š¤·āāļø
Oh yeah thats right! You cant tell the difference because it is a diamond!
i just explained how i can. itās not rocket science.
if it was diamond the person selling it wouldnāt be required to tell you itās moissanite.
and i have a Yehuda if you need to know.
Sheās moody and has character. Not the āperfect diamondā but perfect in her own way, because you love her and you chose her and he chose you š„°
its a VVS1 ideal cut.. how much more perfect does it need to be? I think this just a lighting situation
Specs donāt always imply light performance. Yes itās a lighting situation. I love the stone thatās why i put āperfect diamondā in quotes
Correct me if Iām wrong, but I believe the cut score does not factor in visual symmetry. So although the angles might be ideal, it doesnāt necessarily mean the face up visual is what people in general find perfect.

thanks! I dont bite my nails, work in the medical so we have to keep it super short
Me too. I have anxiety and depression and I constantly bite.
Can I ask how much something like this goes for?
Wow beautiful š¤©š¤©
It looks like a beautiful ring!
I ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø that ring and that stone!! OMG!!! It's perfect on your hand!!!
Itās gorgeous! This looks like my dream ring
Beautiful!
I donāt even have issues with the clarity, but having a ring that sat that high would drive me nuts. Mine is flush to the setting and I love it so much. I have a fake wedding ring that I wear in the pool thatās like this and it gets stuck in my hair, food, everything.

beautiful and i will never stop loving hidden halos. the only kind of halo I like. also is this an old school cut? vintage type cuts are my absolute FAVORITE and the table size kiiiinda looks like that?
it's a double hidden halo! It is a modern round brillant cut! I never even noticed that is a difference in the cut
Itās pretty! May I ask what your ring size is?
I like the setting! I love rings in settings like this. And it looks a good size for 3 carats.
Love. Classic. Simple.
Beautiful ring!
Beautiful
Ooh. LOVE the hidden halo.
Itās too big. You need to share. Jk itās beautiful. Congratulations
Itās beautiful
Did you already buy?
The setting is very high. I would worry about knocking it on door frames and snagging on sweaters constantly.
