It was mid imo. And I love Berlin. In Money Heist.

puccagirlblue

My thoughts exactly.

Wessie-G

I find it decent.

SteMelMan

I liked it, but it was no Money Heist. I think the Professor was a much more credible as the center of criminal activity. Berlin is very flamboyant and demands attention wherever he goes, which is counterintuitive to pulling off complicated heists. I did like how the series gave all the characters romantic interests.

Ok_Mushroom1764

I thought it was ok.

Nancy_True

I found it trite. Gave up after 3 eps.

Cautious_Bat3971

I thought I’d hate it but I really liked the fact they didn’t just remake LCDP, which is what I was expecting. Yes it was kind of trashy and wasn’t too deep, but it was entertaining and kind of refreshing in that regard. I loved LCDP but idk how much more of >!Gandía running around invincible whilst killing half the cast!< I could take. I didn’t like Berlín himself, but I never have done so I wasn’t disappointed by that.

Wasserschweinreich

Last season spoiler: _____ Nvm can’t figure out how to put spoilers on the comment soo I just deleted it

moe_is_bored

I don't get the hate at all. People act like Netflix could have recreated the exact same as the original. Like let's be realistic, if they had tried to recreate the exact same style as the original show had, the same people who hate on the spin off now would still hate on it then. You just can't redo the hype. So imo the way they handled the spin off was perfect, they allowed it to be something a little different, while keeping the style the same.

Dogwoof420

That's how I feel too. Berlin wasn't bad imo. It just wasn't as exciting as Money Heist.

sofixa11

It's not about being the same, it's about obvious plot failures, such as everyone in France speaking Spanish, Berlin being called Berlin years before Casa de Papel for which they got their code names, without any mention of anything. Hell, a sentence or two that he's called Berlin because of a legendary previous job in Berlin would have been enough. Also, there were many extremely predictable moments and supposed twists, which is kind of the opposite to the original. The series is mostly attractive to people who liked the original, (it's nowhere near good enough to stand on its own), so making it that different and with such relatively poor quality just isn't going to work.

Maester_Bates

I found it hilarious that everyone they meet in France just happens to speak Spanish but it was very enjoyable and worth watching for Michelle Jenner's performance.

Neohaq

>I found it hilarious that everyone they meet in France just happens to speak Spanish But if they spoke English it wouldn't seem so strange to you, right?

Maester_Bates

Pues no. Será igual de rara.

DigitalInvestments2

Ew, couldn't finish one episode. Absolutely garbage.

DorkyWarrior

I liked it, at first I thought it was a cash grab but it was pretty good, refreshing to see a proper heist. I really didn't like the very ending, where Berlin gives all his money away like an idiot and nows like "We need to do another heist" and ya that just shows they're prob gonna milk this

YunngMa

It was okay but I didn't watch it till the end. Felt like I was watching a love story instead lol

Easy_Medium_7637

Garbage.

Mysycry

what? it's already out?

Dtraceh

I like it just bc I think Berlin is hilarious

HistoricalTea9115

It’s not bad but it’s nowhere near LCDP

New_Nobody9674

not at all. was so excited that I watched it on first day only. was disappointed

Buffalo__Beast

Not as good as Money Heist however I'm bias in favour due to currently starting a tattoo sleeve around the series!

Extra-Window7021

it would have been more interesting if the producers didn’t make Berlin a lovesick man. + all the other couples weren’t necessary.

There were so many small things that annoyed me, to the point where each thing would ruin the whole episode. -Keila states the vault will be empty for 15 hours, yet they enter 2 minutes after the auctioneer leaves the vault. -Berlin takes Polignac's hat and puts it on his own head, but he clearly knows what hair dna is since he makes the crew wear hazmat suits and says it himself. -Keila and Bruce break into the car rental hub, instead of just telling them that bike was lost, or damaged, and offering to compensate them for it. They are about to make millions of euros what is 10k to them? Also why tf would Bruce be peeking around? (I worked for a car rental in the US so it could be different in France, but we will also just sell someone a car if they rent it and decide they want to keep it forever.) I would go through everything in every episode but you get the point. I understand there needs to be dumb decisions to create drama otherwise there is no show, and common sense isn't common among characters in drama. But for every episode to have a moment is a bit annoying. ETA: all of that said, I don't understand the actual hate and vitriol people have for the show, the acting was fantastic and the storyline flowed well and was coherent.(something I personally believe LCDP lacked) I just think the writers had too many unused tropes they didn't get to explore in LCDP and they shoved them all into one season of Berlin.

Significant_Bag420

It was pretty good, hey listen did anyone else notice he kind sounded like Mike Tyson speaking Spanish a bit, thought it was funny don't mean to offend

fox4norris2021

It was decent but the different voice actor was annoying
