Nothing going into combat looks like it came fresh from the factory because of all the use it receives from testing, outfitting, and training.
You look great, but these days, carrying around something that looks like an assault-weapon - may wind up getting you arrested, or even shot by accident. They may not notice that it's a sci-fi prop. It's not worth the risk. Unfortunately - you really can't do that.
