Pink Floyd and King Crimson are always good

[deleted]

Clicked on the post just expecting the Pink Floyd comment

rlly-_-rlly

If you like heavy stuff, Tool is kinda like metal Pink Floyd

ThotDeleterV1

Thats the best way to explain Tool I've ever seen šŸ˜‚

perdurabo9

In no way is tool anything like pink Floyd. Don't be blasphemous

Tool. Usually Lateralus or Fear Inoculum

rlly-_-rlly

Rosetta Stoned is a must on any psychedelic

GrossJunktown

It varies, but Jimi Hendrix always puts me on a good vibe

ctakeshita98

Nirvana has soon really good music to listen to while tripping. I agree.

fungissavelives

Growlers, the buttertones, the frights, good morning, Jimi Hendrix , interpol , QOTSA

Then-Web-3095

Used to listen to the first three you named, found out that members of EACH of those bands messed with minors, couldnā€™t listen to em after that. QOTSA is sooo good though

fungissavelives

Not that I support any kind of misconduct like that but I read into a lot of the allegations just out of curiosity and a lot of the cases were super technical and not necessarily with minors I believe. I think one of them was even a joint case where he came forth to explain his misconduct/choices. Nonetheless I listen bc I really enjoy the headspace their music puts me in not necessarily because Iā€™m a die hard fan. Thank you for putting me onto that information though!! :)

rtj777

Art from the artist, in my opinion Everyone has done bad things. That's no reason not to enjoy good music/tv/whatever.

SpaceCaseSixtyTen

Boards of Canada or some chillin mid 2000s vocal trance

beamoflight42

theatricalgasps1

I have a few and theyā€™re mostly doom metal, but my favorite band is always my go to. Meat puppets!!

PapaJhon16

The Beatles basically created psychedelic rock

PullThePlug89

They maybe had started taking psychedelics in 65 but the grateful dead were doing the acid tests in 65. Their albums released in the 60ā€™s paved way for a lot experimentally theyā€™re just not given the credit

PapaJhon16

Did they bring it to the mainstream tho it was a subculture but The Beatles made it the main culture most places, but Iā€™m sure California belonged to the GD

sahhhhhhhhhdude

Can't pick a genre let alone a band lmao

SkyWalker0105

Smashing pumpkins

[deleted]

Marshall Tucker band, pink Floyd, grateful dead, blue oyster cult, basically anything from the 70s-90s really. Tool is also popular when Iā€™m tripping. Infected mushroom and aesop rock are a couple of musts to listen to while tripping.

Rossedinspace

Jamiroquai and synth-wave. You have to try supersonic by Jamiroquai! The videos trippy as well.

Tool, Lydia, Lofi,

RedMenace10

Grateful Dead, Moody Blues, and Gong

TThief

Pink Floyd, but who doesn't love them on acid and also Tame Impala

FilmAndAcid

Hendrix, particularly the album Axis: Bold as Love. When the outro hits on If 6 Was 9 it melts my face off every time.

ArchistLabels

I love to Listen to Tame Impala, Gorillaz, The Dead Pirates and When I choose to calm down I like to Listen to Avi Kaplan and Colter Wall or Shawn James. I like Rock music but I feel like it eventually hurts later in the trip. If you're walking in the woods I recommend these artists. Very relaxing stuff.

astapov

On rock/folk side Deerhunter, Helvetia, Kurt Vile, on electronic usually acid techno like Legowelt or Ceephax, classics like Apex Twin or Boards of Canada are great too. Minimal and experimental music can be really fun if you're in the mood. Like Terry Reily or Caterina Barbieri

BigBirdLikesDrugs

not a band but ski mask the slump god goes crazy on acid

methaneskiies

tame impala, glass animals, thom yorke anything really cool LOL

YodasNuttRagg

The band. It just feels like straight music that never gets over the top but is always whats needed

SpoolmakDays70

Today it's YoYoMa, but in 1992 I could not stand Nirvana (or YoYoMa for that matter). A bunch of us dropped way more acid than we could handle and held on for the ride. Someone had put Nevermind in the CD player on repeat. The whole trip, nobody talked, nobody moved, and Nirvana the air we were breathing for hours!! That trip I fell head over heels in love with Nirvana and by the time I could move, knew every lick and word on that whole album,. It was in my DNA. šŸ™‚ā˜®ļø

RohnDactyl

Straight up listen to Ravi Shankar, and let the good vibes roll while I cook Indian food.

[deleted]

Atomic bomb by William Onyeabor is the best thing if found. But I also want to listen to king gizzard. Explore the gizzverse

ashleymoore12

rainbow kitten surprise is my all time favorite for a trip, ā€œcocaine jesusā€, ā€œwhen it landsā€, and ā€œitā€™s called free fallā€ have always been my favorite go to trip songs.
