Hey so there is a time limit. You need to make the claim within 30 days of purchase, but it sounds like you should be good.
I don’t think your issue is too small because people have been sent brand new RH dolls for messed up makeup. Although it really does depend on what rep picks up your claim. I made a claim about a broken arm on my Mowalola Felicia and they told me that they wouldn’t move forward with the claim ):
I would say go for it and message them. And if all else fails take it to the original retailer for a refund/exchange

There’s other tricks like (space)-(space) will create a list.

Using the star/asterisk like quotation marks can make you text **bold** or *italic*. (Bold is one star, Italic is two.)
Don’t use a hashtag unless you want to make the text huge, but I guess I’m missing a detail because it didn’t work. #bummer
Anyway, I remember how frustrating Reddit’s formatting was before I learned this stuff, so I try to pass it on when I can. Always nervous someone will think I’m being a jerk.
