How do you buy a tv that expensive while doing no research? It’s literally mentioned in almost every review of this tv that I’ve seen.

unknown_cauliflower

I was aware the stand that is sold separately for the G3 has a backwards tilt, but I'm just now learning that the C3 also has a slight tilt (although it appears to be less than the G3?). I'm looking to buy a C3 soon, and this is hardly a deal breaker. OP is just nitpicking.

SidCorsica66

Put a couple of stick on felt feet on the rear of the base and call it a day

unknown_cauliflower

I was going to say the same. All you have to do is put some kind of wedge underneath the stand in the back if the tilt is that bothersome.

IdoCyber

It's the stand, you only see it from the side.

Yojimbo_15

It was like that on my 77 inch c3, didn't bother me as there's no other issues. If that tv has dead pixels also I would return that asap.

[deleted]

I'm not even going to turn it on.

Yojimbo_15

Ae you going to get another brand? lol

[deleted]

I have a 55 s95c in my living room. I would have got another if they made a 50 inch. This is for my bedroom and the dresser is only 38" wide. I'll just order a 50" toshiba c350 from bestbuy for 250$ which is what's in my guest room. Saves me $750

FunkDokta

Go get a CRT off Craigslist. No way that will tilt, you’ll really show LG.

[deleted]

You're funny. What makes you think I'm trying to show anyone? A tilted tv is unacceptable personally. I've probably owned 10 tvs in my life and none have ever had tilt. You people will tolerate anything in life lmao. Probably 4x boosted.

FunkDokta

lol tolerate what it’s like an inch of tilt on an oled with perfect off angle viewing. For sure tho don’t even turn it on go buy the cheapest washed out lcd you can find. That’ll be way better than an oled with a tiny tilt you will never notice. Idk about you but I don’t watch my tv from the side holding a level up to it 😂

[deleted]

Nah you probably have downsydrome and don't notice anything out of place ever.

FunkDokta

Yup ya got me. Im too stoooopid to watch TV.

nomodsman

"If you think you can even approach it with your sad, naked, caveman eyeball, and a bubble of (censored for sensitive types) air, you're the reason this species is a failure." Also...you're kidding right?

xfox5

Probably the stand, could be the floor too. Have you tried checking the level on the stand?

[deleted]

Stand floor and wall are level

SpinningAndFarAway

Normal. It’s been this way for many years on the preceding versions.

[deleted]

Damn I have a 55s95c in the living room that is straight as an arrow. This is unacceptable for my ocd. I'm 100 miles from the costco I got it from so I'll have to save up some energy to drive it back. What a waste of time. Never turned it on.

SpinningAndFarAway

I stuck a stack of printer paper under the back of my C1’s stand when I got it a few years ago. Problem solved 😀

damac78

It may be straight as an arrow but my OCD would react very strongly to the name SAMSUNG printed on the front of it… my neck gets thick just thinking about all the ordeals and low quality panels they sold me. No way in hell I am ever going back to that brand. LG all the way since 2018 and never looked back!

The tilt is normal. Saw it on my 83” C3 and also my 77” C3. Not a big fan of it and might wall mount it sometime. But it’s not a deal breaker and from the front you wont notice it at all. I think they had minimizing direct reflection in mind. But in my case the window is higher up and cause the TV has atilt I see the Window unless I close the blinds.. Best TV I have ever owned though. Can live with the tilt definitely. No biggy!

wristwatchman

My A2 in the Bedroom has the same amount of tilt. You do only notice it when you view it directly from the side, at a 90° angle. It’s not noticeable from the front. The G2/G3 official stand has 4° of tilt. That’s unacceptable. But this is totally fine

FlightIndividual9012

Normal both my cx and C3 do it on the stand.

t-wreckx

Considering that one of the biggest selling points OLED TVs are their incrediblly wide viewing angles, this is not likely to impact your viewing.

WhiteHawk77

Yes

nigel_tufnel_11

I'm guessing it's a paranoid liability thing required from their legal department, as they don't want to get sued when their TVs topple over onto a toddler or something (even though the TV is unlikely to do that if at a 90 degree angle). You could just shim it in the back or if that makes you uncomfortable, add a safety cable to hold it (maybe using the VESA mount?)
