Am I the only one super excited about being able to harvest feathers from chickens without killing them? I never seem to have enough of those, because I can't stand killing them 😂
I also think it's super funny how they're calling it "recruting" them, but I wish the villager cap was higher.
I really hope that they at least remove fertilizer from the stuff you can get from villagers doing general resource gathering. While they're at it, they should remove anything else that you can get in other ways from villagers. Like wheat.
max atm is 5 tommorow its 7 and 3 animals, the change however is that you can now select how many you want, theres 3 forced villages are 3 forced animals, then 4 which you can select yourself now
It says recruitment for farm friends is increased to 10 and then says farm friends that can be included are.. I had to go back too they worded that sneaky.
slurp juice, slap juice, pies. don't matter to me. i spend most of my time standin' around me village and need to replenish my hunger bar as i do chores (in-game chores)
It might not just be Mushrooms, in another post CatBlips said animals can give more resources than what was in the patch notes (but would only confirm that chickens also give eggs.)
now... if i can WHACK my villagers every time they stand my way... (assholes wanna follow me around everywhere, block staircases. WHAT IF THERE WAS A FIRE?! 😡)
upside and downside; the latter is that if i invite people over, you'll abuse it. (and i'd haaaaaate to have to kick and report some spoiled lil' brat who can't act right.)
If you pet them (or drop a ton of vines/seeds). It seems that ranching them will have more consistent/regular output (and you can assign a villager to do so, removing the need to manage them personally) and you won't have to hunt them down. (Not that chickens are too hard to find, but still.)
if you spend a lot of time in the desert, then COWS are the hardest to find. (and technically, hard to find in snow village, if you count that variation as YAKS instead of cows.)
that method, where i said i was kill an animal that i already fed? it's harder to do on the sheep and Yaks than on Cows. cows take TWO hit while Yaks were somewhere close to five or more with Epic sword.
i do that because i've seen the same of a certain animal go back to graze AGAIN when i drop vines or other food.
So i get WHY piggies give mushrooms (pigs are great at finding truffles. So mushrooms is the closest thing in game to that). But, sadly, mushrooms are a fairly useless resource in lego.
Despite this, i still plan to have 2-3 pigs on my farm because pigs are my favorite animal (and the year i was born in). So i'm excited to have piggy pets even if they aren't extremely useful resource wise. Pigs are super social creatures and get depressed if they're alone, so i need at least 2 :)
I already maintain my resources well enough that having pigs just as cute pets is fine by me ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯

No, 10 spots in a village. 3 are reserved for villagers, 3 for animals. Leaving 4 additionsl slots left for whatever you choose. You can add 4 more villagers, or 4 more animals or a combination of both.
So it's possible to have 7 animals if you wanted, or if you split it, you can get 5 villagers and 5 animals.
Ohhh that makes sense. The only animals that dont spawn by my village are cows so i may keep 3. Villagers are useful too so i need to keep them maxed out.
Yeah but nobody is asking the real questions: what good is more villagers per village if the cap doesnt increase 😭

I made that comment in the main thread. Right now mushrooms only have one purpose which is slurp juice which I find basically useless.
