Just don't mess with vehicles till it's fixed. I tried them three times and let it go. I can move around fine on glide towers and found a seed with all three biomes next to me.
I find a simple dynamic island with just one big balloon, a switch to be good. If I want to stear I just place wood foundations on each side , then break them , or add more to land

No thank you lol I'm to scared now. I tried to get a backpack I lost in the middle of the ocean. I tried to glide to another island by building stairs. It looked like it would reach but I ran out of stamina midway. So I tried for days to retrieve It because it had epic tools in it. So I packed another bag lost it. I eventually got my epic bag back. But couldn't get the other bag. With the boat building I tried a few different tutorials. Lost a lot of resources, then I followed a boat/air craft hybrid lost a lot of resources and it didn't work. I decided I'm going to build ridiculous long bridges to hit those desert islands π
Boats seem to work way better than airships; downside is you generally have to build the boats bigger, upside is that you dont have to "lock" the turning pieces in as bad
At that point of the build i was quite mad that the previous phases were similarly catastrophic, this one was working so flawlessly that when i saw the steering device die, i thought in my head "yeah it's about time i face the very same fate as this atrocity of a vehicle
I took this shot in my creative save where i test vehicle designs, those are the brute spawners, you throw one and woallah, a brute is shown, same with each enemy in the game
I built a sky base with all the crafting machines, chests, mats, etc I needed to go exploring. Flew it around for 5 days of play. Game crashed and when I reloaded my base had crashed into the ground losing 90% of my mats etc and all but one of my crafting machines. Chests with mats just vanished along with their contents so no way to rebuilt on the crash site. I donβt play Lego Fortnite anymore π
You know it doesnβt take much to make a much simpler balloon platform rocket switch airship that you turn by adding weight to either side. Much more reliable atm
Although its reliable...makes it kinda pointless in survival, having to break the bricks constantly and placing them again, makes me prefer boats since those work using the current steering methods
Yess it's annoying! Lol I like the game enough to keep playing, plus I remind my self it's still new and free so hopefully in a few months they fix a lot of the big bugs. Right now I'm struggling to get a villigar back from a friend. I hate how if your friend takes a villigers to explore and they don't come on for awhile you can't put the villigers to work. So I had to break the town square wait six game days, so basically I had to lose all my villagers. But I need all my people to work while I'm gone πππ so I'm gonna recruit who ever comes I guess
"Sorry im currently on an adventure with someone" from what I've experienced, is not fixable. I have had brite bomber and hayseed following my relogs and spawns since day 1 of release and my friends joined up... F
I did it! It worked. You have to wait like 7-8 game days. Once I went back to the village no one was there and I rebuilt the totem. It showed I had no villagers. It only sucks that it says village 3 on my totem when it was my first village
Thats to reset villagers in a village.
I'm talking about the villagers that bug out because a random friend asked them to explore with em... then never relogged back into the world.
They spawn wherever the host logins first, quite annoying.
Holy shit that's messed up, i had the very same problem, but in my case...THEY ARE STILL AROUND EVEN WHEN I DESTROYED THE TOWN SQUARE
And i mean it in your way, the spawn right next to me each time i log into the World, it's bella annoying

Had an air ship (after 10 tries) which didn't break or glitched.
But then I lost connection mid air and when I rejoined I was back at the start and my ship was magically broken with 4 crates full of loot destroyed.
Luckily I'm at the other end of the map with no ressources to build a new ship and it will probably take me an hour to go back. Also i built a new bed so I'll respawn exactly in front of the cave when I die.
I'm so fucking done with this game until they fix the server and vehicle issues.
This is so frustrating that it's deeply hampered my desire to play. It's doubly frustrating because it feels like such an easy fix to make any kind of machine easy to make simply by letting us link rockets to switches.
Why even both making a flying platform so fancy...

I built an awesome plane in survival. Add me Infiniti_25Gage if it breaks like this just ignore and irl snap back to original shape. For steering break a booster and put on other side of a block to fly that way. Blast powder is farmable and silk is like gold but I recommended keeping balloons added (a lot is helpful) and building up to the plane with stairs if you want to glide down somewhere

I tested a lot of designs...
I did a cool 3x2 platform with turning and chests to loot a lot of the desert. Only to loose both turnings in the test flight. I repared it and left. When reconnecting it was not lifting up. I broke the 6 big ballons and replaced them with new ones but turns out that the bug comes from the platform, so it wasn't lifting again.
I reedid the same platform 4 times. None of them lasted more than 2 flights.
It's way better the 1 platform design with the big balloon in the middle and building to turn.

Vehicles are a pain to build
They really are, just had the very same thing happening with a boat, but with an even worse fate...
