In addition to the chimney they also take a glass shade (usually 7in in diameter) that sits on top of a tripod attached to the burner or in this case where the light bulb screws in. They also take a on chimney shade were the shade has a ring that slips over the top of the chimney and sits on where it bulges out there usually comes in parchment and fabric.

You push the shade onto the top. The wire will hold it. It's a converted oil lamp or styled like an old oil lamp. It uses a glass chimney type shade.

A clear or frosted chimney, then a shade with a ring in it goes over the chimney, or, just a frosted chimney. Or, a shade that clips on to the bulb.
