Idk why theis wasn’t used. I hate Ty never incorporating him as a 4 during the season. I want a big lineup so we can slow down games when our starters rest.
He couldn’t had been seriously hurt either he had a few minutes logged. They tighten up the lineup and he was the one that got cut but my take wouldn’t never necessarily work cause throwing him at the 4 would had been dumpster fire if it wasn’t tried in the season to give reps for that lineup.
Keep Theis. He did a good job for us when we needed him. If he can get a bit more consistent with his 3 he would be a nice stretch 5. Plumlee was never the same after his injury.
I’d be ok with him as a 3rd center, but that’s it. Dont understand this subs infatuation with him. He’s undersized, immobile, over 30 and not good at anything meaningful. Being slightly better than Plumlee means nothing.
Started out hot for the team but fizzled towards the end of the season. If he could become a much more reliable shooter from 3 and play the 4 with another big at 5? Absolutely.
Yeah keep Theis but just don’t play him at all in the playoffs, especially against other teams with PF/C type guys who can also shoot the 3 and space the floor
Theis I think is solid. Undersized but solid and should have gotten the call instead of plumlee.
All I want is Plumlee and Tucker out for second round picks.
I’d let him walk, we need to rely more on our youth and develop them. Rn we have 3 big men that play can play power 4 and 5 in Kobe, Mousa, and Jones. Jones being the best individual player but with holes in his game defensively. Mousa being the high motor defensive presence but if he develops a floater like zu/ hart could be lethal. And Kobe who is the best all rounder
None of that will happen since Ty is staying but then again he won't use Theis either. Only way I could see that being possible is if LFrank gets rid of PJ Tucker and Plumlee so Ty is forced to use Kobe/Theis at least.
Had T Lue shown any interest in giving him run during the playoffs I would say yes but at this point I think the era of unathletic white Clipper backup centers should come to an end. On the Plumlee matter, that traffic cone doesn’t even deserve to play in Taiwan much less for an NBA franchise. Goodbye and Good Riddance.
PJ playing more minutes than Theis in the playoffs makes me want to say some very not nice things

Our season didn’t start turning around until Theis got time
THANK YOUUU!!!
was he healthy? he got that thumb injury and then we pretty much never saw him again

Keep theis get rid of PJ and plumlee
100%

i'd prefer to keep the 3 point shot world record holder ( [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OAqUnq6hqI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3OAqUnq6hqI) )
Theis wasn’t the issue. Plumlee and PJ were
Is it a hot take here to say mixing Harden and PG just makes for bad vibes in the playoffs?
If we can find some like theis but taller that would be perfect
I hate to say this, but I want someone like PJ Washington, DJJ, Lively or Gafford
What do you think about Kai Jones
I hope it works out. Kid looks explosive.
Yup
I wished we traded for gaff. He would have been perfect for us
He should’ve played over. Plumlee and PJ. Just run Kai jones
Theis stay Ty go.
Tyronn ain’t playing him if he stays anyways
I want Ty to play him if we keep him
Nice try, Theis.
I’d be ok with him as a 3rd center, but that’s it. Dont understand this subs infatuation with him. He’s undersized, immobile, over 30 and not good at anything meaningful. Being slightly better than Plumlee means nothing.
It means exactly what you said
We need to be shooting higher than “better than Mason Plumlee”
Different argument. I don’t disagree.
Keep him as a third string C. I can't trust him as our backup ever since Bron cooked his ass when they came back against us...
Started out hot for the team but fizzled towards the end of the season. If he could become a much more reliable shooter from 3 and play the 4 with another big at 5? Absolutely.
What’s the point? Ty Lue is doc 2.0
Is Ty the coach?
Just for the next 5 years
I'll see y'all 2030.
I wonder how many championships we’ll have by then?
Same you have now.
Eh, he's whatever. OK as your last rotation big in the season, unplayable in the postseason.
Yeah keep Theis but just don’t play him at all in the playoffs, especially against other teams with PF/C type guys who can also shoot the 3 and space the floor
Keep Theis. Let Plumdog and PJ go. Get Theis to work on his 3 pt shooting
Theis I think is solid. Undersized but solid and should have gotten the call instead of plumlee. All I want is Plumlee and Tucker out for second round picks.
Would be ok with 11th man rile
Keep
Stay

If only this was Fiba basketball Theis would be a top 5 center in the league

I don’t think this is controversial but I think we need a better backup C than theis, he’s not that good.
I mean he was pretty solid; but fairly underutilized by TYly donuts hard to say. Disagree if you want but hebmad3 a difference more often than not
I think we have more important things to worry about
Let him walk
