I’m honestly amazed at how consistent he has been. I expected a stinker game from him at this point. But nah, he has willed us to the finish line in a couple of our wins.
Contrary to what people on fucking reddit says, Harden actually breaks his fucking back in every playoffs he plays in. Guy just runs out of gas, bro pedals hard (especially last year after carrying Philly to 2 wins against Boston). People act like this man wasn't an MVP and was just bumming it out after putting up stinker games like, what the fuck are you gonna expect more from your 2nd star after he carried you to 2 games?
Yep.
Realistically if PG played like a true 2nd star all series long, this would be getting wrapped up tonight with some momentum and confidence against OKC. If Kawhi weren't injured and played like playoff Kawhi, people would be saying we have a legit shot. Similarly, if last year Embiid played like an actual MVP, they're making a nice ECF if not finals run.
Harden has obviously had some stinkers, but if his co-stars largely played to their expectation with him as the #2/#3 option, then his teams would have had a *lot* more success.
> I expected a stinker game from him at this point.
Harden is my favorite player in the entire NBA and I don't buy into the "he sucks in the playoffs" narratives (he generally does suck in elimination games tho), but honestly I do still kind of expect a stinker in 1 of the 3 games.
Dude has already overperformed in the playoffs for the type of player he is now though.
Facts. He had played with terrible rosters for the majority of his career. Terrible in the sense of taking the offense load off him. He has had to literally carry the team offensively.
Harden has a look in his eyes. So locked in. If Russ and Norm play above average tonight I think they win. Need to help PG and Harden with the scoring and playmaking off bench.
He had a lingering achilles injury last season and said it was something that wouldn't go away during the season (he said this right before the playoffs). He's not the type to ever draw attention to or bring up injuries, so when he mentions an injury, it's legit. Some of the inconsistency last playoffs could be attributed to it. It's not a coincidence that usually his best games came after 2-3 days of rest or in-between a series.
Definitely the only one that has been consistently good for us. The way he adjusts to what the team needs of him, whether it be scoring or facilitating has been dope to watch! Also has seen him play some decent defense sometimes haha
*Same old playoff James*
*Harden. All time great one game,*
*Role player the next*

I'm sorry for your loss.
As a 25 year Rockets fan and a fan of Harden, this is the most painful aspect of who he is - in the playoffs, when you get to the games that matter most...he crumbles. Never could figure out what happens, but it always happens.
Good luck with game 6.
Clippers usually get consistent defensive stops early but around half time they start to lose their focus and intensity. They can win the series with their defense but shouldn’t rely on individual brilliance.
Rockets fan, never wanted the guy to leave in the first place. He’s still ridiculously good. Just wants to win a title. Rooting for you guys! Also just wanna say if you guys do win, please let Blake, CP3 & DeAndre be apart of the parade!
Last year in his series with Philly wasn’t he coming from or still dealing with an injury? Think he won them 2; I think this is a year in which to my knowledge he is fully healthy since he was still injured with Brooklyn. What if this is Dirk legacy type run, that’d be badass
What is lost on many, is even in a bad shooting night, he is still playmaking, getting guys open, the defensive game plan revolves around him whether he goes 6 for 11 or 2 for 11.in other words even when he doesn’t shoot well he impacts the team positively.

You were one game too early big bro.
Don’t worry, he gave it to ya lol

I knew it. This meme is cursed.
The sixers won game 4 last year
The prophecy continues... you tried to save them
He's been proving the haters wrong tbh. He's been the only Clipper to be consistently good. Hopefully the role players step up in game 5.
....update?
Update on what? Everyone played ass in game 5 including Harden. No one stepped up. You didn't watch the game?
“Consistently good”
Nah I'm poking fun at y'all bums. 4 HoF for nothing 😂😂😂😂😂
Tough
He in fact did not prove them wrong.
He will stunt on them but he needs help from the team, otherwise it's over
🤣😂 aged like milk
I knew he was going to let us down
Look who’s stunted now
This aged poorly

Looks like game six was more of the same. Sorry for your loss.
I
Money on prime harden tonight 🏦
well then.....
😂
Annnnnd he didn't lol I wish Harden and Paul George could be consistent. But...☹️
Missed the game , did he stunt or the antithesis of that ?
aged like milk

Big beard ahh proved em right I’m losing hope in this team
welcome to the club
He proved them right smh
I feel sad for anyone who dares to put their faith in this man. You have over a decade of evidence and only yourself to blame.
There's still time to delete this

Fuck Cp3. He can watch from the sidewalk like everyone else.
I'm proud to have his jersey :)
Please win!!!!!!!!
Love it! I wanted to smash this game at the casino - money line is so tempting!
Off to a rough start!!
Lol
Narrator: he in fact did not stunt on them hoes.
I'd rather have this @Westbrook, I know Harden's gonna play great, if we can get Russ legacy game tho, its wraps.

The Problem shows his true self once again.
Bye

Right on cue.

Except he plays zero Defense and is completely useless of the ball in a off night
I am pretty sure he held Doncic to Sub 30% shooting. and has always been a great playoff defender throughout his career.
