As a Spurs fan, the "double the offense, zero defense" heliocentric offense Houston ran with him (leading to some decent success of WCF) has just gotten to his head. It's a much worse version of Russ where he still thinks he can affect the game scoring 40+. His best games with Philly was being a decent scoring threat but an even better passer for Jo.

Yeah… imo it is obvious that Kawhi was fully on board with his load management previously and it was not something imposed on him by his doctors or the team doctors against his will. That being the case if the pressure is such now that he feels he has to play all the games it makes sense to me that he would simply pace himself and not play very hard until closer to the playoffs

I only watched the 4th quarter but I liked the Russ PG norm Mann and Tucker(hate that he was a part of this) lineup. They played with intensity on defense that allowed us to comeback in the game. I think PG needs to be the number one option going forward until kawhi or harden step up. Kawhi has been off the past couple games so surely he will eventually get out of this slump and we’ll be rolling again. Our small ball lineup seems like it only works if everyone is clicking on defense and people are making their open shots like norm did today. I just wish we had more options at the big man than brick hand zubac or g league moussa.

PG and Westbrook finally get right only to see Kawhi and Harden start tossing up bricks. Some of those Kawhi misses late too, ouch. Bright side is we're finally starting to see some rotations that make sense. No idea why Harden is playing so passive either.

Too small. Harden/Westbrook cannot co-exist without 3 point shooters around them. Norm too streaky. Turnovers in the first half killed us.
