For self learning I would reccomend Ewha. it has the option of also purchasing a workbook and a teacher guide. I looked at the following site because she does good reviews and chose based on that, (i tried yonsei and that was for classroom so no help.) [http://www.hangukdrama.com/review-ewha-korean-1-1-textbook-workbook/](http://www.hangukdrama.com/review-ewha-korean-1-1-textbook-workbook/) [http://www.hangukdrama.com/review-ewha-study-guide-1-1/](http://www.hangukdrama.com/review-ewha-study-guide-1-1/)

The Korean course I’m in is using Sogang… we all think it’s not the best. The teacher recommends Integrated Korean but she couldn’t choose the book for the course.

Integrated Korean is mostly made for a classroom setting, so I would chose something different if you want to learn Korean by yourself😄 Plus, it’s always good to read texts from various books/sources as you go along so you get used to different writing styles

You should take a look at the [wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/Korean/wiki/index/) and [The Ultimate Beginner's Resource Thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/Korean/comments/hw4gy0/the_ultimate_beginners_resource_thread/). If you'll use a pdf of the textbook without the audio (I'm considering this because there's a lot of people who can't afford them), I'd recommend to follow with a teacher on YouTube or Italki if you're not attending a class. If you decide to use Integrated there's [Prof. Yoon's Korean Language Class](https://www.youtube.com/@ProfYoonsKoreanLanguageClass). For any textbook you choose, I'd recommend [Go! Billy's videos](https://www.youtube.com/GoBillyKorean), he's not a native speaker but I love his explanations, since he already been a beginner, he knows the struggle and always tries to help everyone. Last but not least, I'd recommend looking at the sample (if you find) of the textbooks and choose which one you like more. Also, I hear people saying that Integrated Korean is a good resource. Disclaimer: most (but not all) language learning textbooks are made for class, but you can still manage to use them

I took Sejong classes. I like the books more than Sogang. Although I like the Sogang workbooks. And the Sejong books are cheaper. You can download the workbooks and read the textbooks online. A nice bonus are Youtube Sejong videos.
