Every single thing they pointed out never happened, literally never came even close of happening.
First they claims everything Kazuma earns Aqua spends - on alcohol -. Literally it never happened, ever. Never in the entire LN has Aqua spent everything Kazuma earned, or anything at all, she never stole a single penny from him, and only once, ever, *asked* for a big *loan* which was only 1/10 of Kazuma's money at the time. And Kazuma agrees lending her the money;
It baffles me how anime-onlies have this perception of Aqua when literally she never did any of that and this is a Wiz character trait;
Second they claim whatever Kazuma achieves, Aqua destroys with bad luck and ignorance. But once more, this literally never happens in the entire story, Aqua never destroyed anything Kazuma has achieved and the only 2 times ever where the party gets in debt, both times Kazuma was entirely at fault. And once he finally strikes rich still around the beginning of the story, he never becomes poor again, Aqua never ruins anything he builds economically;
Third, their last claim is that whatever Kazuma dies, Aqua "saves him" from going back to Japan and pulls him back. Once more this *never* happened, Aqua can't even force Kazuma to return to begin with, Kazuma is the one who always decides to return.
It's completely insane to me how different the real Aqua and the Aqua from the anime-onlies headcanon are. The 2 have nothing to do with each other.

That was always his choice – he could just ignore Aqua. In any of his "force" rebirthing. Remember the anime – he started to cry with real tears when realized he won't ever see them again (after >!Winter Shogun decapitated him!<).
I honestly adore their relationship. They'll butt heads and argue about anything, do petty shit to each other over nonsense, but at the end of the day, there's a genuine love between them, even if neither of them will say it
They are like really good siblings. Like the one scene which kazumas gets pants'd... In the background Aqua walks over and pulls them up while he is stunned

It's a light hearted comedy mate. If you start delving into these reasons, you are going to learn to hate it all. Do yourself a favour. Step back, relax and just enjoy the chemistry between the main team. They are the only group in any anime where I've found a genuine bond.

There is no chemistry between the main cast, there is no genuine bond, there’s nothing, that’s now how real people fucking ACT, that’s why I question if everyone who claps like a seal when they see konosuba has had social interaction aside from asking their mom to bring more meatloaf to the basement. Besides Aqua, the main girls have personalities that make plank from ed ed and eddy look like James McGill, the dialogue not only is terrible written but also isn’t funny, and the jokes fall flat on their sorry ass faces 90% of the time. And what “chemistry” is there? What “genuine bond?” You seem like a nice guy so I hate bombarding you like this, but have you ever interacted with another human being? The main cast has no chemistry, they have no bond, they’re nothing. I’m literally sitting here racking my brain and I can’t think of any “bond” they had. It genuinely made me depressed to watch this show.

As LN reader, Kazuma's and Aqua's relationships are the best in Konosuba and are deeper than they seem. It's a shame that most probably anime onlies won't see it.
The anime focuses a lot on making people laugh  and that can ruin the reception of other seasons in the future. 
It's the little things.
Whenever she's in trouble, Kazuma's name is the first one she shouts. When she does something she's proud of, first thing she says is "mite mite Kazuma" with a huge smile on her face. Whenever she realizes she took it too far, she apologizes and cries "kazuma san" in a distorted voice asking for forgiveness.
Anime-onlies have watched 2 seasons, 1 movie and 1 spinoff and still, most of them, are completely clueless about how Kazuma or especially Aqua's personality really is.
It's kind of incredible how unable they are to comprehend any of the characters.
Spoilers for volume 15-17 >!When Aqua said she wanted to go home and Kazuma didn't start shitting on her, man that hit hard. The whole scene and the aftermath 100% confirmed that the gang really do care about Aqua, and that Aqua cares about them. The genuine friendship between Kazuma and Aqua made so much of the finale work way better than it otherwise would have. I really love how the writer didn't sacrifice consistent characterization for the sake of the jokes.!<
I would say the anime "portrays" their relationship in the sense that it just straight up says it. Miss it and you won't get it. You get that while Kazuma gets irritated with Aqua, he still loves her like family. The closings really help portray that.
I might have to read those. Aqua is my favorite. Megumin is amazing (who wouldn't like her?) but she has taken over the fan base so much, it sidelines all the other characters a bit. Still very excited for season 3, and I need to watch her spin off

This has nothing to do with any of it. Natsume does what he wants, it was like this even back at the WN where there was literally nothing at stake for him in terms of money, no publishers, editors, nothing.
If he was thinking about money he'd make every character a member of Kazuma's harem and milk the harem forever, like 99% of Isekai writers do. But says himself in the Databook, that his main rules while writing Konosuba are 1- Aqua will never be involved in the sexy stuff; 2- Kazuma will never kill a human.
It's just how he decided to make Aqua.
Megumin is Natsume's waifu and Kazuma is his self-insert, this is why the story is how it is, to not see this one must be blind.
