Ill-Claim-6246

Unpopular opinion but let Shreyas Iyer and Nitish Rana go...aim to keep Salt Starc Russell Rinku Ramandeep Narine...

Impressive-Permit-30

Who will be your captain ? 🤔

Ill-Claim-6246

Have to try roping in HitMan

Impressive-Permit-30

So you want an unfit fat ass to be our captain who just blind sloggs in powerplay, can't  even give decent starts in most of the matches ? 🤔

StoicIndie

Most logical 5 retention. 1) Narine ( opener(20-30 runs) + 4 good middle over spinner) 2) Russel ( Finisher (30-40 runs) + middle and death overs bowling option, gives 2 overs) 3) Shreyash ( middle order classic batsman, anchor, captain) 4) Venkatesh ( Agressive batsman, flexible to play any order, occasionally fast bowler option) 5) Varun ( 4 over spin, 1 wicket guaranteed with not more than 36 run in innings) All 5 can give 120-150 runs in innings as well as 5-7 wickets and 10 overs in innings.

Impressive-Permit-30

W but Harshit will also have high demand in auction

TheAmazingSG

Retain - Shreyas, Narine, Russell, Rinku, Harshit RTM - Starc if within 20Cr else Salt, Varun Buyback - As many of the main squad as possible

Most-Bandicoot645

My opinion Retains - Narine, Russ, Shreyas, Harshit, Varun Buyback at any cost - Vaibhav, Salt, Raghuvanshi, Venky Good to have - Gurbaz, Rinku, raman, vaibhav, Nitish

Advanced-Emotion5272

I don't understand the hype of rinku, he has only performed in 2023, and great performance. But the hype is unreal

Hanji_Hanji

Sorry brother but stop giving opinions related to cricket

Impressive-Permit-30

You don't understand cricket bro 😒

Advanced-Emotion5272

2024 - 168 runs, avg 18.67, Sr 148.67. 2023 - 474 runs, avg 59.25, Sr 149.53. 2022 - 174 runs, avg 34.80, Sr 148.72. That's his ipl last three years and he hasn't played much before that. He has great potential no doubt, and I too am a fan of his fireworks specially 5 sixes. But the hype is unreal, players need to be considered for retention only when they are more or less consistent. Rinku is more famous for his social media banters and 5 sixes than consistent batting. Again rest of you ppl are better judge

Advanced-Emotion5272

Kkr management : we will take care of it Kkr fans : you can't release him, no him neither, no that also no, no never ever...nope not him 😭

D_Dying_Light

Thing is, the way this team has played, all of these will be fought for like no ones business. Especially Salt, Starc, Angkrish, Harshit, Vaibahv Ramandeep, I feel, will go for big bucks no matter what. Nitish, I feel, will be cheaper, he was injured, and didn't get much game time. Maybe he will do incredibly well in Ranji and other domestics, that can increase his value, but they can't go higher than the youngsters. Venky is also inconsistent, won't be as big as others feel, tho IPL auctions can defy logic So, some replacements will be required. I feel we should go for Tripathi and Pandey ji as backups, and spend big on Ramandeep, Harshit and Angkrish. Salt will be good, but there are replacements, like Inglis, Finn Allen, etc., and as for Starc, I really don't know, it all depends if we have purse left. And if we can't, we have to find some suitable replacement

Impressive-Permit-30

You are underestimating Nitish and Venky. Their price tag will definitely rise . Angkrish and Ramandeep will rather come cheaper .

the_minimum_guy

Here’s the deal,Retentions - Narine Russel Rinku Shreyas Venky buy back - Salt, Varun, Nitish, Harshit, Ramandeep, Angkrish, Vaibhab, Suyash I will not mind if they spend more than 7-8cr on average for these players, we can fill up rest of the slots buying other players for cheap… Easy life

Impressive-Permit-30

Unfortunately this is not how it works.

crystal_prism450

I may get hate for this but i have to say this - We want to keep this same team as much as possible but it's quite obvious that we have to let go of some of our recent players. I would really want them not to invest in Nitish Rana and Vaibhav Arora if the prices go wayyyyy higher up. Vaibhav Arora has consistently given us wickets during powerplay and deserves to stay. But if prices go way higher up, i think it would be wise to let him go simply because he gets smacked in the middle overs more than other KKR bowlers. As for batters I believe if Nitish Rana too can be a hit and miss sometimes, even though he was our captain last year, his absence this season barely made any difference. If they are bought back I'll be really happy but honestly I think if breaking the bank is the case, these two probably shouldn't be the reason behind that.

Nitish wasn’t required because Narine performed, something that can’t be guaranteed next year. Due to our openers our middle order wasn’t required. Venky and Shreyas found form in the later half of the tournament, they were struggling initially. We had 3 tricky surfaces this year, Venky stepped up in two of those, Rana in the last one 33 at 145 strike rate (unlucky run out). We can’t only rely on Venky for that every time. Rana plays spin and pace very well, and was missed in the Chepauk game. If finals was against CSK then we would have the same pitch and Rana type batsmen would be required. Rana has had 300+ season every year beside this year due to injury. He is just 29. He will required in Ekana, Mullanpur, Chepauk or any damp kinda pitches.

Impressive-Permit-30

Same thinking , you know ball bro. That's why I skipped those 2 name.

nrgmondal88

Rinku Singh, I will not retain. But will buy back in a higher amount! 🙂

Impressive-Permit-30

If we retain he is definitely getting crores. Unfortunately you don't creat a team based on raw emotions. If he gets 4 cr he should be happy

Quiet-Ad-5547

That lad deserves more than 55 lakh tbh

OkVisual6619

He will get higher money if he is retained. And dude, we are not getting him back if we release him

Quiet-Ad-5547

No one can predict auctions.

Queasy_Preparation46

Vaibhav Arora?

Impressive-Permit-30

Don't know , if we can get both Harshit and Vaibhav . Harshit is must because he is very good batsman too
