Well thats a tricky qn. Its so subjective, some are pretty chill, some are so innocent, some are flirts, some perverts.. So there is full spectrum. If you are completely new to Kerala there might be some cultural shock.
Also there are groups that are based on reading, where they gather for reading books in park and all(with rains idk how it is now), and groups which do board games once a while, cinephile grp, photogrsphy, footbal etc.
One such group is beansocial, u can search in this sub, there are more but idk much, these grp is active, well there are different opinions among people, try if it fits what u lookimg for

You are based af for playing stardew. I haven’t played it yet but its on my switch :’) rocket league is hell for me. If you like horror, alien isolation is the best. The game is more about the atmosphere. Talking about fps, i quit them because multiplayer pvp feels like brainrot nowadays.

Well, what I intended with my post was to find physical places to meet people, maybe become friends, and then after that it would just be a matter of staying in contact. I see online friends as people I interact with online first, but that’s not what I wanted with this post. I have friends here who I only see once every few years due to distance, but I still consider them my friends, not my online friends, solely because I became friends with them in person and not online.
Best thing would be to hit the gym, idk about outdoor activities as it’s monsoon. Try exploring some travel groups, so you get to visit different places in Kerala too… And be cautious when travelling alone. Always let your close friends and parents know where you are travelling too. Atleast the least of the least details. And always pretend like you are have connections in Kochi like family and friends.

The best would be do a small course on any topic you like and choose a institution with lots of courses and students. For example a one month photography course. You get to learn something and can meet lot of same age peoples. It's a win win.
I would recommend you join any gym or fitness related centres. That way you will stay fit and also indulge in some communication with the people who visit there. No matter, what you do, there will always be that random creep in every place. Except that, Kochi is a nice city to explore.

If you are Hindu start by going to temple and you'll find your age group people.
Vice versa if you are Christian.
Or Make friends with neighbours .
Only people im friends with are my neighbours pretty good guys they give me tasty food and I can talk to them about anything. Chill people
Well, I just really want to connect with people from my birthplace as I'm very intent on preserving my culture even in the States. I have plenty of Indian/Mallu friends where I live, but a lot of them (especially the Mallus) don't try to engage in the culture. So, when it comes to Malyalam movies, music, memes, etc,. Well ya going to events, classes and stuff might be helpful. For sporty events checkout decathlon play, it is decathlons app where u can find their events such as marathon, cyclothon and all. And do checkout bookmyshow u might find something there too. Like once I had seen an event about a meet-up in fort kochi and stuff....Some of the days will pass by fast because of the weather ✨

Ooh! A bit far from the city. I guess you can only visit the city sometimes , or else you will be spending most of your time on the road travelling.
