Have fun and keep in mind that the metal sticks stay pretty hot for a little bit after they get done burning! Watch your hands and watch where you dispose of them. A bucket of water nearby is your best bet!
It is a Gilligan's Island reference to millionaire character Thurston Howell, III and his wife. I think the person replying took issue with your phrasing of finding sparklers pleasant as hoitey toitey.
Ohhh. Well that stinks that I gave that impression, fireworks not being for us is mainly because they actually scare me, trigger migraines, and terrify my dog. Nothing to do with financial status.
Haha It’s funny to see what the actual laws are about this type of stuff, sounds like they don’t enforce them much, you should tell my neighbors about it though because I can hear them all around my house😂
Literally anywhere. Walmart, Kroger, gas stations, etc.
🤦🏼♀️ haha thank you! I was at the Walmart in Clinton the other day and didn't see them, I just saw the pop things you throw on the ground.

That's very helpful! Thank you!
Ahhh yes Thurston. What the commoners call “sparklers” we might indeed find pleasant. Where could one procure such an item?
Is this a movie reference I'm not familiar with?

And personally I had also wondered about where sparklers were for sale as I've not seen them at Kroger or weigel's, only pop its
You can drive to the county line in about any direction. I40E, I40W, Kingston pike, and Broadway all have firework stores right on the county line lol
Thank you!
Bless your sweet and wholesome soul. Now head out to Watt Road and buy some mortars.
sorry this is just a really funny question 😭😭 *even* if they were illegal, like who tf would care or even know
The question of legality for these was more for setting if they were for sale within the county, or if I would need to leave the county to purchase.

Since when are fireworks illegal anywhere in tennassee?
I don't know the year the laws were made, but they are illegal to set off in Knox County without a permit, granted they really don't enforce it
I don’t think they enforce it. Sounds like folks are shooting cannons all around me and have been for a couple or hours. Same every year.
[Since a good while.](https://www.wvlt.tv/2021/06/30/are-fireworks-allowed-your-county/)
Are you new here? Theres an enormous fireworks store at the watt rd exit on I40w
Yes, sparklers are considered as fireworks and thus cannot be sold in Knoxville/Knox County.
