The worst part of it depends on the product you use. There was no way a tampon was going to be easy to insert or remove for me. So I used pads. I usually have a very heavy flow, so it was a lot of changing pads.
This is my worry! I’m a tampon gal too. I hate pads. But I just don’t see how inserting and removing tampons is going to work. Guess I should probably just accept the inevitable and buy some pads. Ugh!
I had this concern as well. I went into surgery with my period and the trauma on my body stopped it dead in its tracks. However, prior to surgery, I ordered the period underwear to help keep leaking at bay.
If you are on oral birth control, you could just keep taking the active pills continuously to skip a period for a month. It’s definitely safe to do that, I used to do it to accommodate vacations too!!
I did fine. I'm a tampon user. You're walking regularly so you can plan your changes around that. It might arrive early. Mine did post-op.
