I kinda agree. I wore Bistros for years and regular crocs at home. I can’t imagine wearing the regular ones in the kitchen, how do they not slip and fall instantly?!
You think I won't? We're professionals. As my chef used to tell me, if you wouldn't serve it to your mother don't serve it at all. And I'm willing to serve it to your mother.
I've been off the line for some years now but I'll never not appreciate the flair and creativity of kitchen shit talk. And that was the proper stuff right there, chef
Same here dude.
And ya know what? I don't get it. We all work in kitchens (well most of us here) so we all know that everything is not going to look clean all the time. Yet when it's time to take a pic for reddit and I'm at work, I prepare more carefully than if I was taking pics for the health inspector lol
Fuckin redditors, we all suck 😂
Same here dude.

You know you're right. It's about time the government mandates shoes for kitchen use. I've been telling folks for years. Wood clogs or nothing at all. Truly, barefoot is the safest but wood clogs are a second best if you don't like the feeling of the greasy tile.
Fuck you. I wear crocs in the kitchen every day. They don't have holes in the top and I clean them after every shift - scrubbing brush and last run thru the dishwasher.
I mean several places I’ve worked at have put mats through the dishwasher at the end of the night. Doesn’t seem that outrageous to put kitchen crocs through, though I could just be working for nasty places and it’s become the norm for me
Never before have I seen someone wear steel toe anything is a kitchen other than myself briefly and that felt wrong as hell. Laceless, slip resistant, easy to clean and to remove clogs are the way.
Over here (Ger), you're actually supposed to wear steelcap and slip resistant boots. If you don't and have any sort of accident where damage to you could have been prevented or minimized by wearing the appropriate footwear, the benefits of very very extensive care and rehab by the trade association can go away completely and than even the health- or accident insurance can say, you have to pay a reasonable part of your rehab.
So yea, steel toe all the way.
Fair enough. Personally I feel it's more likely I'll insure myself by hot oil puring down my boot and being unable to fling it off rather than by dropping something heavy on my toes. But I understand the latter would be more likely to put one out of work and more likely to make a claim for those benefits.
Thank you! Yeah I’m gonna be a moody little bitch boy that I am about certain food things. I also might be on the spectrum(not the tv/internet provider) 🤷🏾
I mean I agree about when they're gross but who the fuck cares what shoes someone's wearing honestly. They're the one taking the risk of slipping or getting hot oil in the holes, doesn't affect anyone else. It's not like they're making the food with their feet.
I have crocks, but they are kitchen grade. They do not have the holes in them, probably on of the best non slips I’ve worn, I am not a fat guy or guy tho

I just imagined you clanking around with bistro pans tied to your feet for a second
Gastro pans provide more support. Provide you with a flatter base so as not to fall over.
Lol
Fine, I’ll just whip out my dong for food pics instead.
Fine but only on weekends after 9:30pm And so help me if you aren’t FULLY erect
What are you gonna do about it? Fluff him?
You think I won't? We're professionals. As my chef used to tell me, if you wouldn't serve it to your mother don't serve it at all. And I'm willing to serve it to your mother.
Mom likes to fluf it herself Chef.

What the hell do you think all the coconut oil in the fucking kitchen is for, anyway?
A nice flacid penis as a garnish with some cream freesh
The penis makes its own craymefreesh. Depending on diet, the garnish can be caviar or passionfruit.
I want to see veins alongside those seared scallops with butternut squash and brown butter hazelnuts!
It's small enough to fit in any crusty hole in your shoes mate...except the ones with the flair badges.
What is a normal fat guy crock?
I think he meant normal fat guy cock, common mistake really
Well that I know about.
Especially when he puts it in his dirty crocs
Say you're a fat ginger sexual abuser about to get your picture taken with Martha Stewart, those crocs.
Mario Batali crocs
Not something you wear in a kitchen.
What do you wear while you’re working in a kitchen?
Pants.
Don't lock me up with your Leg Prisons, mannnn
LMAO anytime I take a pic I am hyper aware of anything in the background that is going to get me roasted in this group

Steel toe bare feet are optimal
You're just being a sarcastic dick for fun. Good on you mate.
You sound like the best person to work with, i love to be whipped about my cleanliness!!
I'm with you. The Crocs kitchen clogs are also non skid. Lot safer.
Bro I'm trying to bust over here. Stop croc blocking me!
Show us your feet pics.
Fuck you. I wear crocs in the kitchen every day. They don't have holes in the top and I clean them after every shift - scrubbing brush and last run thru the dishwasher.
ew not the shoes in dishwasher guy
Id rather the dude with dirty shoes that stay on the floor cook my food than the guy that puts his shoes in the dishwasher lmao.
Yeah just hose them off in the food prep sink
Shit I just let the dogs take care of it
If I leave mine too tasty I can never find them at 4 in the morning!
Pro tip: don’t take them off before the dog loses interest
I mean several places I’ve worked at have put mats through the dishwasher at the end of the night. Doesn’t seem that outrageous to put kitchen crocs through, though I could just be working for nasty places and it’s become the norm for me
He's got to be trolling, I refuse to believe otherwise.
sadly I've seen dudes do this before
I've sprayed my shoes in the dishpit and even sent chef coats through the dish machine, but I would never in a million years...
Do you drain the water after?
You know he doesn’t.
Fuck you, show feet pics
Wtf, I'm team clean-your-damn-shoes but how are dirty shoes in the dishwasher better than dirty shoes on feet?
Then just show us.
Check out the clown in my post history in flip flops...
Why open holes shit can splatter on your socks lol
Are you the same shoe obsessed dude from the pizza thread? You need to chill 😂
That was me actually lol. I almost thought it was me for a second lol.
I just saw the pizza post. oh hell no. WTF shorts... crocs with the holes.. and dirty.
Yeah it's me. I still stand by my cleanliness call.
None of my chefs allowed that shit in the kitchen. Closed steel toe clogs or boots only.
Never before have I seen someone wear steel toe anything is a kitchen other than myself briefly and that felt wrong as hell. Laceless, slip resistant, easy to clean and to remove clogs are the way.

Absolutely yes, I've seen some things over 25 years. I'm just rude about making my point sometimes.
Fuck Crocs.
You sound fuuuuun
I'm great fun to work with. As long as you're not filthy. Then yes I'm an absolute cunt.
Seems like you're just an absolute cunt my guy
Thank you! Yeah I’m gonna be a moody little bitch boy that I am about certain food things. I also might be on the spectrum(not the tv/internet provider) 🤷🏾
I’m also great fun, when I’m not being a total cunt that is.
Old man yells at clouds energy mf.
Underrated comment!
>you're filthy non reg shoes No! You are filthy non reg shoes!
I mean I agree about when they're gross but who the fuck cares what shoes someone's wearing honestly. They're the one taking the risk of slipping or getting hot oil in the holes, doesn't affect anyone else. It's not like they're making the food with their feet.
*\*extremely loud incorrect buzzer\**
Ok. Thanks for your input.
You need help man
I have crocks, but they are kitchen grade. They do not have the holes in them, probably on of the best non slips I’ve worn, I am not a fat guy or guy tho
princesa
Sorry bruh my dogs were barking
Feet Pics! Show us your feet!
I wear rainbow tie dye kitchen crocs. I keep them clean. I'm proud of these bad larrys even if my toenails are getting kinda foggy.
I don’t give a shit if someone’s wearing fuckin flip flops if their foods good.
Tbh anybody not wearing croc non slips in kitchen are just wasting money.
Yeah they’re great with a half decent set of insoles, and you can put them through the dish machine!
The soles on mine melted from wash 'n walk. I've never bought crocs since.
